  1. Factory fresh, even those champagne valve covers! Got any pics of the whole car anywhere? Looks mint!
  2. ^WHS Will you be replacing with the same model turbo? A 'touch-up' tune should cost less than $200 to check for knock, AFR's and so on... If it's an entirely different snail, then it might be debatable. $880 is steep though.
  3. Not sure about them wearing out, there's plenty of people who have been using them for years with no problems. The problem with bleeds is just that, they bleed air, meaning the wastegate begins to open before full desired boost is reached, hurting response. Ball and spring type valves hold shut until desired boost is reached and then open. There a whole bunch of threads on that topic, and they general consensus is that the TurboTech is a better product overall. They're cheap too Nice car by the way, it looks like a clean base to start with.
  4. My fuel economy is shocking lol - I get about 300km to from an absolutely full tank. It makes nearly 300rwkw though Control boost with your right foot. You'll probably find you'll leave it in high boost mode most of the time anyway. New OEM coilpacks are the way to go. They can handle big power if new or in good condition. The factory ECU's vary in regard to how much boost they can handle without going into R&R. 10-11psi is usually about the limit. Same goes for factory turbo. TurboTech MBC's are generally regarded as better than the Turbosmart MBC due to being a spring and ball as opposed to a bleed valve.
  5. Don't bother with the 'dual stage' boost mod. Just piss the whole solenoid off and replace it with a TurboTech MBC. My car runs 19psi all day everyday with one!
  6. True. Draining as f**k topic though, plus the fact that I have many more due in the coming days/weeks.
  7. It's about that time of the semester; at which I think to myself as I sit here staring blankly at a 1500 word report due tomorrow - "is this all really worth it". #unilyf
  8. Looks awesome mate, the white Regamasters definitely set it off. Where are from? Judging by the huge license plate somewhere in the EU?
  9. Bright for 1km until you have to apply brakes. Then a dusty brown colour #aestheticslyf
  10. Will you need to relocate the battery for cooler piping? That thing is almost as big as the engine!
  11. Does Paul have a build thread for this little beast? Turbo K11 would be so fun.
  12. No joke, I think it would sick. And don't bother with white wheels, they look mint for about 1km until you come to a red light and spew brake dust all over them.
  13. Paint it Calsonic blue - would snap necks.
  14. Paint micra wheels white - it will look racecar.
  15. Put a sticker on the windshield. Did some shopping.
  16. Nice to meet some of you guys finally
  17. Going lower? My mates HKS coilovers were pretty good units, not sure what spring rates were on them, but not harsh at all.
  18. I used a JustJap 'Cooling Pro' return flow unit. Contrary to what most people say about non-Japanese stuff, this kit is well made and includes the correct length hot and cold side piping. The only issue I had with mine was fabricating some nicer alloy brackets, as the steel ones supplied were pretty average looking.
  19. Is anyone coming to Garage Cafe on Wednesday?
