  1. It just activates the dash light if the exhaust is really hot, like if the cat was clogged for instance. Wouldn't worry about it to much. If you remove it you dont have to earth the sensor out or even keep the sensor. It only goes closed circuit when its really hot, so you can leave it unplugged altogether and the warning light won't come on.
  2. Why would you need a larger radiator?
  3. So it lagged a bit, but whats its doing now? Blowing smoke, not running at all, missing or running fine?
  4. how much fuel did you get for your $38, i assume under 38 litres with the way fuel prices are these days? if so, thats good economy. you probally get up it a bit too do you?
  5. if you have closed your gaps a significant amount to acheive that power, then by adding the complete CDI modules and high energy coils, you are going to be able to open the gaps back up, get a larger spark and more efficient burning of the mixture. not to mention it will be more reliable, if your plugs get a little old worn, fouled/whatever the ignition system will still have the power to jump the gap under high cylinder pressures. you should notice a fair gain in response, even if the outright power doesn't increase by a huge amount.
  6. i still can't beleive these comments you guys get. im really going to get a skyline now, to see for myself...
  7. special areas, like diesel, did someone say mining?? huge ass $$ thats really where its at if you want it all.
  8. if your over 21, apprentice wages even for first year are very good, considering your lack of experience! so yeah i guess if your older, less employers will be willing to put someone on as its substantially more $ out of their pockets.
  9. ohh no not the lexen, atleast you can say you own a toyota not a holden
  10. just to add some useful information to this thread, dam the aircon in late model magnas work a treat
  11. you see, to become a qualified mechanic or whatever the wages are basically the same as you would get in an office job. unless you get somewhere that is a specialist part of the industry, which requires alot of work and knowledge etc and i mean for most people, who wants to be messing around with dirty cars and crap, if you can be sitting in an officejob doing bugger all with the ac on less chance of pysical injury and shit too. i understand somepeople aren't cut out for office work though and love to get their hands dirty.
  12. with datalogit you can set the switchover point of the nvct on the r33 rb25 engine. but the r34 neo rb25 is alot more advanced. im keen as to know how much functionality it has.
  13. the 350z are starting to grow on me a bit. i reckon by the time the new GTR comes out, i will be used to the look and appreciated it more?
  14. hey guys i have a question for those in the know because the nvct cam timing is constantly variable on the NEO rb25, can the PowerFC be mapped for this function, or how does that work? with the r33 rb25 its either full advance or full retard no inbetween. and is activated by a simple on/off switch in the ecu at the desired rpm. anyone know how the powerfc and rb25neo nvct perform? is it completley mapable throughout the entire rpm band or whats the go?
  15. yeah, cheers mate. ill head over and ask. i suppose this is kind of relevant to the thread. i mean, put all the auto issues aside, if it were capable of controlling the auto. i dont think the R34 Neo would be able to control the r33 nvct very well.
  16. Are you 12 years old?
  17. ROFL, just read your sigature, its f**king hilarious!
  18. its common knowledge that the powerfc lacks the outputs for auto tranny operation. its also common knowledge that there is a specific version powerfc for the neo. however what i was asking is how much control does the ne powerfc give over the nvct operation?
  19. i can understand why you cop abuse in a volvo
  20. because the nvct cam timing is constantly variable on the NEO rb25, can the PowerFC be mapped for this function, or how does that work? with the r33 rb25 its either full advance or full retard no inbetween. and is activated by a simple on/off switch in the ecu at the desired rpm. anyone know how the powerfc and rb25neo nvct perform?
  21. haha, i have to get a skyline, sounds like you meet heaps of new friends in one! sounds like they can make even the shortest trip entertaining:)
  22. 4 years. first 3 years with one day a week at tafe and 4th year is all on the job. then if you pass you can apply for motor mechanics licence. unless you get an apprenticeship, you can't do the required course at tafe either.
  23. pinouts are the same, only thing that may be different is the ignitor dwell output time, seeing as though series 1 has ignitor pack, while series 2 has the ignitor built into coil. i really dont think the charge time will be much different though as they are the same size coils. in saying all the above, i highly doubt that you will have any trouble
  24. anyone take their bikes up the old putty rd?
