  2. hey, i was looking throught the r32gtr shop manual and found a diagram on the assemblt of the rear diff. i noticed that the plates wernt in the same order as the ones in my diff and i figured that i might be able to loosen the grip up a bit if i switch them around. the pic should explain all. get what im talking about? steve

  5. good point, as im bound to scratch the bay while putting the engine in (no matter how many blankets i use!) ill see what it looks like when is drys, then ill see if i need to clear coat it or not. one more question, does 2pac need any special type of undercoat? thanks again steve
  6. oh yeah, i always take heaps of pics when ever i do anything on any car. im still deciding on what to do with the engine, ill be painting the covers blue, but im not sure about the pipiing. should i paint it blue or should i get em polished? steve

  12. oh yeah, ill make sure it clean. what ive done before is clean everything with metho, as it cleans everything, then evaporapates with out leaving resedue. then ill use the prepsol over everything. steve
  13. hey guys, does anyone know if theres any additive i could add to my 2 way diff to "loosen" it up? at the moment it shakes up the rear end when i do a tight turn etc. theres nothing wrong with the diff it self, this is what looks like inside. http://members.westnet.com.au/phatr32/diff.htm i was thinking of going stock or, getting a 1 way, but i might keep this one. steve
  14. also, do you have advise on how tight we should make the belt? i think i over tightened my belt and it made a whiing noise when i started it up. Ill replace the pulleys to make sure, but i just wanted to see if there was a way of checking to see hwo tight it is. i know theres a tool that can check for you. steve
  15. if it isnt too much ill take the blown turbo, but to save cash on postage, you can take the dump pipie off. that should drop the weight i wont be needing it. steve

  21. well ive almost finshed stripping down the engine bay, ive taken out almost everything, but i dont think ill be able to take the brake booster out (too much trouble) so ill try to paint around it. ive got a 20liter barrel of degraser, and degreaser sprayer thing for the air compressor so ill definetly give her a good clean, plus i sand down any rough bit, and finish it off with some prepsol. ill also try to do the painting on the warm day, my shed gets quite warm on a sunny day so hopefully itll turn out nice. ill be using the 2pac paint (black), but would it look good if i used 2pac clear coat over the top of it?? thanx for the info fellas. steve
