Hi everyone, I have an auto tranny s2 r33. Has 3.5" cat back zorst, blitz pod filter, and boost is upped to 9psi via a turbosx boost controller. No other mods. What benefits can i expect to get from a dyno run? What could be tuned to extract more power from this setup? Thanks for your help =)

Wide tyres = more wheel spin in the wet? What you say is true but shouldnt there be more traction by the same token that there is more surface area? But then again, you're talking about the wet so i guess its like a huge dingy floating in a shallow pond... a smaller dingy would sink and touch the bottom... I dunno...

When i was waiting to get my front bar put on, i drove around with no blinkers and only the number plate screwed on. It looked damn ugly and would have caused vicious damage in an acco but no cops said anything... one even walked past it when i was parking turning around to look. Maybe i was just lucky

SH!T I saw it on the night news just then... /rant I just wanna say that while being young causes you to take more risks, the most important factor is EXPERIENCE, not just clocking the number of years driving, but of driving a high powered turbo car. I recently bought my skyline about 3 months ago and before that i was driving my parent's honda accord. The accord has some good pickup but nowhere near the skyline. I've had my licence for over 6 years with no traffic offences (although i have done many stupid things) except for 2 accidents. The first was in the accord where i was in bumper to bumper traffic on a warm day and i dozed off and rolled into the car infront. The second accident occurred 2 weeks into my ownership of the skyline. I took a corner, the boost came on unexpectedly and the back end slipped out, fishtailed, did a 540, hit the kerb, mounted the footpath luckily in between 2 telegraph poles = $3000 of damage. I count myself bloody lucky in that accident, i could have killed a pedestrian or myself. What caused the accident? I had no experience in a RWD car. I had no experience with turbo cars. Even after 6 years of driving experience, and having gotten the hooning out of my system, my lack of experience caused the accident. SO........ Go get advanced driver training... In a turbo car While im having a rant, onto another point... Why is it that the tools in the pissy civics, lancers, and excels always have to tailgate and want to drag you? Only such idiots have so far tried to g me up for a drag. I've never really bothered with them bcoz we both know my car will win, and because i value my licence I just dont get it... they see a skyline and automatically assume they're up for a drag... its like little kids on a bus signaling to a passing truckie to pull the horn... idiots. /end rant

I saw a silver r33 GTR at the Penno Hills end of Boundary road around 7.15pm tonight. I think the rego was GT-3140 or something like that. I gave him a thumbs up but i dont think he saw me... Anyway, nice car bud =)

Hi all, Just a few problems which are bugging me...i hope someone can help me out QUESTION 1: I have a R33 Series 2 Gts-t with auto transmission. I was fiddling around with the radio the other day trying to install a new Mp3 unit. After i was all done, the radio wouldnt turn on! The red dot that blinks when the engine is off still blinks but the unit itself wont work even after starting the engine. Furthermore, the clock also doesnt work! Thinking i had blown a fuse, i opened the fusebox next to the steering column and there were three blown fuses. I havent replaced these blown fuses yet but i was wondering how many more fuseboxes there are in my car... some threads mentioned a passenger footwell fusebox, an engine fusebox, and a rear boot fusebox as well...??? Do all of these boxes exist? Where? QUESTION 2: How the hell do i turn off that annoying reverse beeper?!!?!? Is there a simple wire i can cut or do i have to remove the whole dash to rip the damn thing out? QUESTION 3: When my car is idling and when under mild/little throttle, the boost gauge is sitting on the negative areas? What does this mean? Is this normal? Im just confused because negative would mean are is being pushed OUT rather than INTO the engine... Im a n00b so be nice Cheers~!

Terrible news... apparently its gonna cost $1400+ to repair the bumper, and one side skirt, and very minor panel damage. Im thinking this guy may be trying to pull the wool over my eyes... I dont have any pics at the moment because i left the bumper at the workshop... but its pretty much compound fractured on the right side -> As in, cracks all over the place, not just hairline cracks but splitting cracks with bits of fibreglass hanging out all over... What? You can make me a new fibreglass 400R front bumper for $350? Is it ready to paint straight away or does it have to be treated? And how much would it cost to have that painted? Can you please get back to me about a rough price guide for (i) rough repair and repaint price for a bumper in barely repairable condition... just think of worst case scenario (ii) a new fibreglass 400R bumper with paintjob. The old bumper is in very very bad shape... we took it down to my dad's mate and he wasn't sure if it could be fixed at all... So while we haven't been given an actual quote on the price, im expecting something pretty steep... somewhere around the 600 to 800 area. Suffice to say, not happy Jan

Im now looking for a stock series 2 r33 front bumper... preferably in sydney, and if im reeeeeaaal lucky, maybe one in a metallic navy colour :headspin: Anyway, im after a cheaper alternative than having the old bumper repaired... so all offers will be considered.
