  1. Simon at Import Spares mentioned to me he also runs a compliance workshop for most Skylines. I forgot the name, coz it was really long. Import Spares 2 Sleaford Rd, Windsor Gardens Ph: 8266 0212 Patrick
  2. I've got my 100,000km service coming up soon to, & when I was getting quotes for the service it seems different reputable workshops have different views on this. The responses were generally either "yeah we recommend it" or “we’ll only replace it if its sounds like it’s on its way out”, one even said "its your money". Personally I'm not going to skimp out on the $150 or so, knowing what a seized bearing can do

  4. For details: http://www.mallala.com/driftstate.htm The Autobarn Nationals will also be on next month, but it coincides with Rally SA . Not really, unless they'll erect one up on the existing stands for the wkend, otherwise everyone will prob have to view it from under the seating stands.

  6. You should have the standard one, unless there's an aftermarket boost controller fitted. If you already haven't done so, here's a thread on the IEBC to read (one of many SK helpful write ups ), & replys no.#40/ 41 have pics to give you an idea where your standard solenoid is located. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=61207 The standard R33 solenoid is 12V, which is what you need for the kit.

  9. Yeah I agree, hahaha. Remember he's only 17 & Monty Python would've been way before his time.
  10. Yeah, that brings back good memories....playing late at night till the early hours of the morning, even got the g/f to play CS on occassions against a bunch of other girls on LAN, they get into & are alot more verbally violent :ak47:. My alias' used to be 'ICEMAN' & 'BLADE', might have to try join u guys somethime.
  11. According to the Skyline drivers manual the Power light will stay on for 2secs when starting up, this is just a systems check. However, if it flashes for approx 8secs & then go out you have a problem, which sounds like it is in your case. It recommends that you get this checked out asap. Don't know much about the R32's hold button.
  12. I always thought that it was otherwise, coz a boost controller bleeds air from the wastegate line, & generally anything atmospheric before the muffler (whether it be a BOV, catch can, screamer pipe etc) is illegal.
  13. Yep plenty of this, coz thats what the 15yr old kid on the on the other end is doing 24/ 7. Good fast internet connection & server ping helps, as well as increasing your display gamma (so you can see those chicken sh!7s camping in the dark spots). Study your fav maps, weapons (+/-), familiarise yourself with shortcut keys (like when shopping) & purchase weapons depending on your style of game play & map sizes. For specifics do a search on the web regarding tactics, helpful tips etc. When I use to be addicted to this game I practiced at LAN centres & the weapons of choice for me was mid-long range rifles with a scope (I'd be one of those people who'd shoot you through walls & doors) :headshot: & for very close quarters automatic shotgun.
  14. This article was bought to my attention today & it seems its not only government agents that browse car forums. http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/commo...255E910,00.html :tool: Although, it doesn't normally happen on SAU (posting hooning pics, providing specific bragging details etc), it does happen on other popular public forums & even I’ve been guilty in the past for posting once in a brag section thread. Hopefully, it won't have a huge repercussion for other car enthusiasts & web site based clubs :Paranoid:. It’s a pity coz, Adel recently had another large charity cruise, which was also organised to promote a non-hooning image to the public & better ties with the police (but that was wishful thinking). While such illegal activites shouldn't happen in the first place, I hope I don’t need to remind you mature & responsible people of SAU it is somethin that we should keep in mind (more than before) before posting on any forums. Please try keep the baggin of Commonwhores to a minimum, coz I already know how much affection we have towards them.
  15. Cheers Andrew, sorry couldn't see you properly through ur tint otherwise would of waved. I didn't notice any sidewayz movement when I passed. Appearance wise my car still looks a stocker.
  16. Spotted a suspect lookin silver S15 (Nightcrawler) :wavey: on Satday arvo on Nth East Rd at Greenacres heading into town. Also, last friday I received a serious case of whip lash (had to go to the chiro after ) when I saw a nice blonde drivin a dark blue R33GTSt into the St Agnes shoppin centre, it had custom white on blue no. plates (SKY ###...I think???). Can't think of anything sexier when the ladies drive nice modded imports :drooling:.
  17. A friend & I we have the same rivalry, he has a MY03 WRX (manual) only with 3" cat-back & I have a R33 GTS-t tuned just under 200rwkw (suspension mods: adj tein coilovers, adj camber & castor kit, adj rear sway bar & front strutbrace). Obviously in a straight line or though sweepers theres no competition. However, Im reluctant to say when we go cruising through a lot of sharp twisties it takes a bit of effort tryin to keep up & no its not the driver :Paranoid:. Its for this reason when my group go on cruises we have a WRX leading in the hills, coz it's idiot proof. You'll find stock for stock the WRX will outpace the GTSt, but if you spent the remaining amount of money on mods as to the same purchase price for the WRX it should be a different story.
  18. Nice clean chop, with no lines to break the car up it makes the car look longer. I guess thats what an R33 shell for a funny car would look like.
  19. I noticed that you've joined Nisan SVD, who are a CAMs affiliated club. So, thats a step in the right direction. That website above should have all the things to get you started (application forms etc).
  20. A thicker headgasket will increase the boost threshold, alters the compression (reduces it I think) & I believe reduces some effects of detonation.
  21. Nah, he's doing a Magic cat group buy at the moment, thus defending against the allegations. To help put this matter to rest is anyone here willing to be a guinea pig & put theirs (Magic cat) through an EPA test? Depending on the results, I can tell you it will sway my decision on which cat I will buy, coz I want a less restrictive (legal) cat than my current generic hi-flow one & also I already have a race pipe.
  22. I normally use nengun.com & greenline.jp as a good price reference. Also, check out the 'group buys' section they regularly have cheap FMIC & Power FC's. Not sure where you live, but some reputable workshops/ mechanics which many on here go to are - Tilbrook, Boost Worx & Morpowa (that's where I take my car). In terms of mechanical services & dyno tune prices your looking at: 5,000kms service $120-$220 General dyno tune $140-$250 Initial Power FC dyno tune $400-$600 Have fun with the line.
  23. Sorry, it looks like the sale is goin to Nightcrawler. But, yeah the flanges are meant to be set at 45degrees of each other on the cat. It should be a direct fit to your standard or aftermarket exhaust, provided its not a custom one. In the unlikely event it doesn't fit it only cost around $15 for Profix to knock out & re-weld flanges to align with exhaust.
  24. If it's the 3" race pipe from JMS your after, I've got one. It's basically new & fitted only once, PM me an offer. Patrick
