  1. If it's the 3" JMS race pipe your after, I've got one. It's basically new, PM me an offer. Patrick
  2. I didn't phrase that to well, but what I meant is how many rwkw did you get on your auto with the aforementioned mods?
  3. oops sorry, didnt check the dates there. The one 'jager' was referring to is this one - http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=91758 The track is 7kms SE of Angaston on the Angaston to Eden Valley Rd, if you get lost Im sure the locals in the Barossa can direct you.
  4. Baz, just for comparison sakes when you actually get the conversion, what sort of power did you get with those mods?
  5. Baz, just for comparison sakes what sort of power did you get with those mods?
  6. If its good enough to be used on space shuttles & rockets Im sure its good enough for your GT-R. Titanium isn't know for its sound dampening qualities, but it does weigh lighter & cools down faaster than any other metal. I've heard the Apexi titanium system with the silencer on a stockish Supra (standard turbos) & if thats anything to go by its still pretty loud...probably enough to warrant a canary.
  7. When changing wheel sizes we know it can put the speedo a bit out of wack & I've heard this can be corrected by either changing the sizes of the trans gear or driven/ speedo gear to which the speedo cable is attached to. This will change the rate the speed is read; there were ratios to work out which size gears to use but that part went over my head. So, not sure if similar concept could be applied here. Anyways, I thought an auto electrician should be able to recalibrate the manual speedo cluster to fit an auto to give correct reading.
  8. http://www.mgccsa.org.au/vintagec.htm Also, check the 'Hill Climb Sup Regs' PDF link on the left menu for more info. I think the address is: Collingrove Hill Climb Lot 100, Hill Climb Road Angaston Rural This is where the WRX club use to have one of their track events, wish SA had an official SAU club.
  9. Thats a reasonable price, the cheapest I've seen brand new for retail in Oz is $1359 cat-back & $450 for front pipe only.
  10. Hey Shan Im interested in the group discount for: Boost controller Hand controller Connecting cable Need postage to Adelaide. Cheers PK
  11. Swissol better be damm good considering their car care collection kits cost in the hundreds. I've seen them start from $170 to as high as $1000+ :blah: Don't know how you came to that conclusion SirSkyline, coz just quoting from the Car Care Specialists site it states that "Carnauba (natural) wax is more sensitive to excess car wash. Where as, with synthetic waxes (eg. Meguiar's tech wax) tend to last longer, but don't seem to provide the same depth of shine". For a good read: http://www.carcareonline.com/howto.aspx I've used Meguiar's & 3M products in the past with great results, but I've been introduced to 'Ultra Gloss + DGS' & I can't help but rave above the results (I should be on an infomercial ). r34_skyline haven't used that particular wax yet, but there's no harm in trying it, if you not satisfied is there any where on the bottle that says you can return it & get a refund?
  12. I work for an accounting/ finance firm. Currently studying for my CPA.
  13. :bahaha: :bahaha: I did source one from them when I had my HKS pod it was about $60 for replacement (the 15cm one). Well I don't think Ill be goin to them for anymore parts, when I can just go to my local Kmart
  14. I think its a case of your muffler is bigger than my muffler envy Unless this is some new rule, I've only heard people getting done for exhaust/ muffler above the legal 9XdB & ground clearance; for many states its around 10cm.
  15. Give Jap Tech Imports a go on 8266 0212.
  16. Check Greenlines site, Im not too familiar with the R34s, but the rest look right: http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bcmodell...php?make=Nissan
  17. I’m not sure if it’s even been officially released for sale yet & I may not live through the experience but, I’ll take a blue-black Bugatti Veyron. If you can’t be bothered reading about it in the link, the stats: 0-100kmh: 2.9sec 0-300kmh: 14sec Top speed: 401kmh (with speed limiter) Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the top super cars going around. www.modernracer.com/features/worldsfastestcars4.html
  18. Just to clarify, you can still make under $20K with the race team & still claim expenses. Its only in the event that you make a loss, there's a rule that you can only claim that loss against your other income (eg. wage) provided the race team earned more than $20K (pro rata). Either way receiving sponsorship is a win situtation for you, Im sure you'll argree its not that hard spending the money in search for our cars to go faster.
  19. To benefit for tax minimisation purposes it really depends on choice of business structure for the race team (ie. company = incorporated clubs, org & assoc; partnership etc).Basically, from an ATO stand point if you register a race team as a business for tax purposes & its out to make a profit & more than just a hobby, then YES you can claim deductions for running the team. There other minor criterias to be met to be considered as a business, but thats the general gist of it. Your income obviously would be from contracts/ sponsorships (outside sources) etc, (if a club or assoc, I don't think members subscriptions or contributions are seen as income). In turn, for the business sponsoring the race team, they can claim the deduction for sponsorship (coz its a form of advertising). Abo_Bob: In your scenario (sole proprietor) you can claim deductions against the sponsorship income, however, if the racing team made a loss you can only claim it against your other income, if the race team earned more than $20K otherwise the loss is deferred. Other than that, you were pretty much spot on. Sorry, if I repeated any things. & yes, I do work in an accounting/ finance firm, but, you should ask current developed race teams & seek more professional advice from a business consultant/ accountant to get a more detailed idea in whats involved. At work the only experience I have had with a race team, is with one client in the US sponsored & rides for KTM. 20. They look great, they're a lot shinier than my blue calipers. When I did mine I used VHT brake paint & finshed with a glossy top coat.... but, I want yours dammit . I might have to try this dupli-color metalcast anodized paint when I do my rocker/ cam covers.
  21. I spoke to Mike from MV Automatics today at a motor expo & this 'control unit' HR31COUPE speaks of makes the standard trans behave much like a mechanical trans (eg. tri-matic/ powerglide systems)???. So, basically you have to manually shift the gears, with O/D off as top gear & it would be wise if you invested in a bigger trans cooler & upgraded valve body(shift kit) at this point. He also, mentioned with the fittment of this control unit the lever select position display lights may not work. The controller can be fitted on various applications, including the RB25DET. For day to day driving it is still bearably, but its an option more race orientated.
  22. I did use 3M & Meguiar's polish & 3M wax, but recently Phuman recommended to me 'Ultra Gloss Superpolish + DGS' & Im totally converted.
  23. If you think ours sux, you should check out the UK ones, namely Redline - its soft porn with riced up hatchbacks. I normally read Zoom & HPI.
