Although, the Supra would probably have been running a 3UZ V8 in it as opposed to the 2JZ-TT & thats where the similarity ends. You'll find the most significant differences & advantages of the Super GT cars over the Super V8s is their Formula 1 like suspension setups & tires.

Dirk Schoymans lap time around the Nurburgring was 7m59s that was in a lightly modified R33 GTR & I think it was a '95.

You will need a shift kit to help handle those figures & also, here are some threads that may be of interest: ECU for Auto ATF Cooler - Group Buy

Thats what I did but, I had shakes at a higher speed than 110km/h & it ended up being dodgey sidewall on one of my tyres. If it still happens after getting a wheel balance & before resorting to replacing tyres, check for loose steering linkages/ bushes etc.. or get a suspension safety check.

Just Jap & possibly RACESPEC stocks them.

Auto Trans Cooler... What If I Add A Thermofan?
pkblade replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
There are off-the-shelf tran coolers that come with fans already attached but, normally you would have one if the cooler is placed somewhere with limited air-flow. Yes, the fan will cool the fluids down while in traffic, but if you place it infront of the cooler it may restrict the cooling capabilities of the cooler while the fan is off during cruising speeds. Is the fan reversible (ie. can it suck air)? If the fan is reversible & space permitting I'd place it behind the trans cooler. But, as Craved suggested if the current position is receiving sufficent air flow I wouldn't think one is necessary. -
With higher stall speed converters there's more slippage which, means increased heat buildup; also, you may find the higher stall torque converter requires more throttle to move off from idle. I'd suggest getting a larger cooler & good performance ATF if you want the trans to last a bit longer.

So where abouts is the turbo?? If that was the 1462whp run there, it prob be more considering its on slicks.

R32 Auto Gearbox Life
pkblade replied to DRFT32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'd imagine not very long. The R32 shares the same box as the R33 & they are strong but, their biggest killer is heat. Most by the time they get to your stage would have upgraded the valve body & fitted a larger trans cooler. The shift kit will help you break traction . For $2500 you can get a full trans rebuild that could handle in excess of 300rwkw. -
Yeah, Pete's lil Marvin definately does turn some heads, esp at shows. If your not having a big night on the Satday, you might want to take your camera down to ETSA Park - Mile End at 12noon on Sunday to check out the cars for the Megacruise. Weather permitting ther's an expected 200+ cars from various clubs.

Try changing gears only when u hit 6+psi, or u can adjust the tension of the valve with the bolt at the back.Anti-clock wise - loosens Clock wise - tightens

Don't have a copy of the ECR 33 ECU pin layout with me so can't give u the exact terminal numbers. EIDS Pro - Type H1 BLACK - CU Earth/ Chasis Ground ORANGE - Throttle Position Sensor signal RED - 12V/ CU Power WHITE - AFM (IN) YELLOW - AFM (OUT) FYI: By IN & OUT - this means cut the appropriate AFM wire leading into the pin & don't cut too close to the the terminal, give ample space on each end to work with. The WHITE wire is to be connected to the AFM singal wire that's not leading to the ECU; & The YELLOW wire connects to the AFM singal wire that's sticking out of the harness. From what I've read the same colour wiring & pin signals seem to be same for other EIDS types.

Automatic Transmission Shift Kit. - Updated Oct 2006
pkblade replied to 4door_Sleeper's topic in Group Buys
They reduce the shift time between gears (shift overlap) & in turn with the quicker shifts it also reduces wear. You could ring up Mike from MV Automatics & see if he'll still offer you the discounted price as a SAU member. -
Yep, Daryl & Justin do great work. They can also fit or customise ya intercooler & piping. http://www.everlastmufflers.com.au/

Why dont u think the rebuild will last? Is that with kevlar items? If its any help the RE4R03A is used in 300ZX-TT & that has a slightly larger casing than the RE4R01A which also is used in the 300ZX non-turbo version. So, you might just have to measure up.

Try avoid paying Nissan rrp. When I was gettin my idler & tensioner done there was a shortage. It was hard to believe not one bearing company in SA had any & their suppliers & trade partners namely in NSW wouldnt sell it to them coz, they had a shortage as well. Must of been a whole bunch of you eastern states getting them done at the same time *shakes fist at easterners* . Ended up resorting to genuine Nissan & lighter pockets.

Getting Started With Karting In Sa
pkblade replied to Arky's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Here's a list of clubs in SA - http://www.iwt.com.au/SAclubs.htm Dont think its on the list but, theres also Angas Go Kart Club near Strathalbyn. Recommend you look at Southern Sprint Kart Club's website, has all the basics you need to know to get started . Hope you dont mind travelling long distances coz, theres plenty of it at club comp level. -
Just Car is generally the cheapest coz u pay upfront but, yeah their excess is ridiculous for U/25s. Ur premiums & excess wont really get any lower till ur over 21. You might want to try Famous Car Insurance, pretty sure they offer instalment plans.

Just received, cheers again Alex.

Not sure if this has been posted before in the Regency Experience thread but, Im sure you'll find it a useful reference for what mods are considered legal & when going through Regency: http://www.axifile.com/?2267287 Edit: Hosting link has been lost, pdf file now attached Guidelines_For_Modification_Of_Road_Vehicles.pdf It should also be used in conjunction with the Road Traffic (Vehicle Standard) Rules 1999 regulation.

RACESPEC has them listed on their site, you could drop him (Tarek) a PM. The price is reasonable considering Nengun are quoting Brix II for $1000-1100 delivered. Otherwise you could get one of Just Jap's Bride style seats & re-upholster it with Bride written on it.
