^^ spotted 66 Skyline at Hallet Cove. Was good to meet ya Pete & the Prince. Catch ya again at SCS. Also, spotted midday today on Nth East Rd goin towards town what looked like a grey R34 GTR it had a mistmatched coloured drivers door.
-
Its on Nov 27th & I thinks its @ Immanuel College 10am-4pm'ish. I'll be entering as part of a club & coincidently Pete's 66Skyline GT (w/ RB20DET) will be in the same stand.

PM sent. The price of off-the-shelf items today are pretty cheap, considering you can get GReddy full titanium cat-backs for $1300. So, saying Jap brands are 3x the price is a bit of an exaggeration. Generally the main difference between custom & Jap brand is the custom one has less degree bends & more ground clearance.

I almost got BINGO! So far Ive seen: White x2 (mate of mine owns one & the other has a Uras bodykit) Black x2 (one possibly being midnight purple ) Plum/dark burgundy (w/ gold rims) x1 Anyone know the colour of the 6th? It wouldnt happen to be the one at Auto Salon with the taxi sign was it?

As you know the cat is generally the most restrictive part of any exhaust system, so I highly recommend one of Bos Importing's cat (w/ stainless steel inside). I got the 3.5" one off BATMBL, very hi-flowing. Or the Metal cat can be bought from Car Toys for $400 (doesn't include flanges). For boost controller Im using the GReddy Profec B-specII ($459), its easy to use & has a display screen. Also, before I did have the Turbosmart bleed valve & had no real spiking issues @ 12psi, main diff is it didnt boost as quick as the EBC.

Spotted on Sunday arvo at the bay, a pimpin black Rolls-Royce Phantom with very dark tints. . I think its one of the most expensive vehicles I've ever seen on the road.

...or on the loser fly-by

What Unit Of Boost Measurement Do You Use?
pkblade replied to Kennedy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
When Im talking about boost I say it in PSI or BAR. But, on my EBC I use kPa. As a general reference I roughly convert them as 14.5psi = 1bar = 100kPa. I think most use psi coz, its what the majority of the mags we read & import DVDs we watch say it. -
That was at this yrs autosalon in the SVD stand, has a pretty good ICE set up.

Check the comparison of the results between the cats in the thread below: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74015 I got the 3.5" Catco (w/ stainless steel inside) off bosimporting (aka BATMBL & very pleased with the gains. Also, when compared to my 3" straight through pipe there was approx 1.1rwkw difference @ 13psi (stock turbo).

I think Car Toys still supply Odyssey batteries, but I'd imagine theirs would be pricey. Also, haven't seen too many heavy duty batteries smaller than the 800 let alone a 700.
-
Making some nice power there Sam, although torque figure looks rather low. I'd assume it should be more like around 400+Nm. So whats next on ya list - injectors & bigger turbs ? U know ya want to . What sort of boost controller you got btw?

The only sunroofed GTR I've seen is Advan's one but thats like two or three GTS's welded together & built to GTR spec. But, yeah I've also got a sunroof .

Its in reference to an old insurance tv add, where a thief breaks into a car & in the back there was a trained monkey who knocks the thief out with a wrench, then the monkey drives the car to a bridge & disposes of the body.

I briefly read on ns.com that he found his car dumped in Nailsworth & suspects they were just joy riders coz, it was driven until it ran out of gas & car was pretty unscathed. But, still it does put an empty feeling in the pit of your stomach just thinkin about it. So, thats a huge sigh of relief & very fortunate outcome. Now probably like the 100th time today, popeye put that dammn alarm & immboliser in...ohhh and a monkey in the back seat.

My friend she just bought an R33, thats another gal with a Skyza. So if you see a custom green one with lowered as buggery bodykit, FMIC & big GT wing thats hers. Besides just the price tag, apparently the average chick goes for the the R33 coz, they like the shape after the R34 of course.

I also got the HKS Super dragger muffler with custom 3.5" cat back piping & it was originally fairly quite. But, as soon as I replaced the generic hi-flow cat with the higher flowing barrell type cat it now has a lot deeper & agressive tone.

Its surprising the eastern states dont get much of a range in styles, sizes or colours to pick from. This is the range SA has had for awhile & thats just custom plates: http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/registratio...ates/custom.asp For those who have a silver car the black writing on silver looks great B). I currently got my username in that combination, but Im waiting for a blue on silver to hopefully come out.

There definitely was a lack of performance & over the top show cars this year & only a few were in real contention for King of Autosalon. It was a bit of a let down with the dyno runs & no GTRs from what I could see ). One of the highest power figures for the wkend was a GTiR with 305odd awkw & top Skyline run was by Phuman's R34 with 280rwkw (runnin a Trust T67 now). If only GTAutosound brought a pair of street tyres & ran their S15 drag car. One of my fav & the more unique cars there was the purple/lavender Toyota Celsior with Merc front. I got to agree with MADGT4 though, the ladies & promo models were fine, so much so I had a few of them workin overtime for me .

Edit: repost -
Not really fussed, but if I remember I fold. What I find annoying is when new passengers to the car (normally lady friends) before entering, tell me someone bumped my mirror in & proceed to manually unfold them, ahhhh!! :bonk:

Thanx for the heads up. I was goin to borrow that, coz it had a good cast, but then saw Lil Pimp the cartoon nxt to it . I thought XXX & Signs were pretty craptacular, they're the only movies that I've actually slept through. Has any one seen & undestood "I heart Huckabees"? That movie was funny, but really weird.

How Much Have You Spent On Your GTS-T/ GT-T???
pkblade replied to **JaR**'s topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There are these things called a V-Spec , sounds tough though. Purchase $16,500 Mods $8,500 & still has stock wheels, kit & no stereo system .
