WRONG! A desktop is NOT a LAPTOP! (obviously!) Laptop/Notebooks work in completely different ways in regards to software/electronics controlling Serial Ports etc generally! Do NOT use the SER/USB converter if you want it to work. If your laptop has no Serial port get an old one that does and try before blaming the Consult system.

After buying a great set of JIC's and fitting them, after three years they are the one mod I regret! Not the Brand, the bloody rattles and harsh ride! I thought I would get used to it after a while but it just made me annoyed with the car, unless I was on an excellent bit of bitumen or a race track! Find another Skyline owner with the same ones you want and go for a drive first, and be critical, dont just think shee'l be right! Otherwise buy my car and you will know!

DONT forget to change the Fuel Filter as well for a decent high flow unit!

Richard that is one top notebook! Just in case anyone is interested, I have repaired Laptops for 15 yrs and the Fujitsu is THE most RELIABLE laptop ever made! We rarely ever see them come in for repair, and this one has warranty and MS Office as well! A great buy and tempting....Hmmm

Its not that hard but can be tricky. I made the mistake of wrapping and clamping a rubber tube around mine to insulate the vibration noise but had to pull it back out again after half an hour because I had bent the gauge float and the gauge was not working. Just as well, because the rubber was starting to melt away and would have caused massive drama if I had not removed it then. Put it back in a bit more carefully second time around. Probably worth paying someone who knows what they are doing.

What made you think the orig AFM was faulty? Did it start OK with the old one? Go back to square one. If it did just put it back on and see if it starts. (Might be worth cleaning it as well after you prove it starts.) It may not have been the problem after all.

I think you are pushing your luck retaining the stock injectors! Why would you not change them at 80% already? If cost is the answer to that, well a new engine will cost a lot more if it starts detonating. Which it looks like it will when you push it further. Peace of mind is comforting....

My belife is, No it wont. Only a GTS4 AWD can take GTR suspension as its similar.

Why bother? Just get a decent filter for it and modify the triangular intake so its able to flow more as well as getting rid of all the plastic ducting crap behind the headlight. Still looks legal and is legal as legal modified can be.

Only if you want to run high boost and its more than a nice daily driver with a lot more mods. For a daily driver I would value the off boost response from the higher compression around town and up to 7PSI for that extra grunt when you need it. If your looking to go all out it would be worth changing the head and the gasket and run 20PSI! LOL (AS long as you have the supporting mods inc. ECU and dyno'd!)

Typical responses from people that know everything but have never owned a STARION! The standard Australian delivery Mit Starion has a 4G63BT that is near unbreakable! I am not even going to bother saying much more except I am selling my Skyline but I will NEVER sell my Starion!

Yeah well you could all be like me..... thought yeah its just the sender , they are all crap and a common problem. BUT, on rebuilding the motor from continuing driving when the screws had come out of the back of the oil pump and impossible to see, it was REALLY the oil pressure being almost non existent that caused the big ends to start knocking and burning! I certainly would not wish that on anyone so hope thats not your problem! Maybe you should do what my son suggested and fit a proper mechanical Oil Pressure gauge and avoid the end disaster.

Strange you did not get any backfiring if the plug fragments are holding the valves open a bit? Amazing damage even though they are crap plugs and is that an NGK in there? What heat range were they when they were in one piece? And do you have splitfire coilpacks that would have kept the spark going with that much gap! Serious detonation happening at the torque peak I would say. Hope its not to hard or expensive to repair!
