  1. and it does not replace the stock ecu.
  2. you can fit anything if your willing to fabricate the parts needed. but its easier to get the correct injectors for the job.
  3. yeah.. Yavus is the professor. His background is from a engineering / emissions development on massive diesel machinery. He gave all that up, big $ job so he can focus on his hobby... Unigroup Engineering. +1 for unigroup!
  4. The K-mon was good. the software was a little buggy at times though but it had some good filtering features and done its job. how are you going with it ?
  5. yeah its weird how that works.. you would think the air would just go through the valves and out the exhaust but you can get some pressure in there... i got 25psi into mine.
  6. i sold all my knock detection tools. i found that i could feel that something was wrong way before the engine gets noisy.
  7. grats. I picked up a cheap gt3082r with a HKS rear housing, the guy said it was a .73 a/r
  8. yeah it could be a air leak on boost man. do a pressure test.. see what you can find.
  9. for me it was never about the money, it was just about getting the experience playing with these hardcore setup's.. I was lucky that i found a guy who saw something in me and invested in me, he put me in some really expensive machines straight up, knowing full well that if i blew them up he might have had to pay for them. I never actually blew up a car where it was my fault and I ended up getting experience with all kinds of cars that would have been impossible to get back home. Z06 vettes, new Camaro's, Dodge's finest SRT8's in stroked / supercharged / twin turbo setup's... then comes all the motec's and autronics... even trying to get every last hp with NA 6 cyl's with motec's etc etc... it has all just been a huge learning curve for me and that is worth more then any salary imo. to be honest its really hard to make decent coin if you have got no reputation to back you up, the UAE is a cut throat country and no one will let you touch their cars if you are not a well known tuner with a good reputation. only reason why i was able to get into it was because of my sponsor who has really big pull in this country, he has been building cars for a long time and is very well known and he put his neck on the line for me. I still had enough cash to get by, a couple of cars etc etc... only issue i had was my health.. been really sick... just spent 3 weeks in hospital since i have been back and i am recovering now slowly. (i dont like to talk much about these issues) im gathering more pics and have a few more stories to tell, i am waiting for my new visa to be done and when i am well enough i should be going back, we have a massive new workshop now.
  10. it idled well because its running a map sensor system.
  11. engine is in tip top condition. forget about the .82... just fix all the issues.. you will be surprised with how a leak free setup will run I like a nice small rear, it comes on quicker lol
  12. it must be hard in the UK. I nearly went there
  13. id just go for a hg turbo and re-tune. should go great. no point going through all the hassle for e85 if you are going to keep the same turbo.
  14. was not directed at you. just some comments made by other users, its just frustrating reading comments that slanders workshops when its just not needed. Yes he is a great tuner, even on a bad day i am sure he would never let a "shit house" tune out of his workshop if it was within his control. keep the .64 housing, just fix the other issues and take it back to him and explain to him all the issues you have found and I am sure he will be happy to look after you on the re-tune knowing the issues have been resolved. good luck with it, look forward to your results.
  15. its not the tuners responsibility to fix your cars f**k up's. his job is to put the car on the dyno and tune it the best that he can in the condition that it is in. nothing worse then a internet f**k tard running around screaming "bad tuner, shit tune" bla bla bla when he will never be in the tuners situation to understand what it is like. IF the workshop quoted the setup, and put the whole car together + supply parts and then there was an issue like this then it would be their responsibility to fix the issues without making any excuses and most of them would. Thats the problem with back yard slapped together setup's, you never know what you are going to get so be prepared for a long road of f**kup's and multiple tuner bills until you get it right. stop blaming the tuner, if he suggested the rear housing could be the issue then it was just a suggestion, he is not a god to know exactly what the issue is straight away ffs!! be happy he gave you some suggestions to start with to fix your piece of shit or leave it with the workshop and pay the hourly rate for them to diagnose it for you.
  16. this is what a chipped ecu looks like with the chip removed. there is a socket put in its place and then the chip goes into the socket. that ecu you have has not been socketed, the eprom is directly fitted to the board.
  17. wow... talk about bringing up a old thread. would be nice to go back to 2011.... anyway.. the skyline gearbox needs ignition retard on gearchanges, and a few other things... the aftermarket ecu's are not going to work correctly with them. you could go with a greddy emanage or something similar... maybe fully manualise the auto and go for the haltech could work.
  18. that is not chipped. its got the stock eprom in it still. where are you located? i can send you a blitz eprom for it.
  19. Got a couple of Z32 ecu's ready to be Nistuned, Just take to your tuner to install the nistune and you are ready to go! They are modded for RB25 in R33, can be for series 1 or series 2 Selling for $350 each.
  20. yeah.... lets blame the tuner.... the tune is shit. that particular tuner has one of the fastest skylines in the world. lets just say he cannot tune for shit. ffs. get a clue.
  21. anyone know what this turbo would be good for ? http://shopping.kinugawaturbo.com/kinugawaturbochargerbolt-on24inchesnissanskylinerb20detrb25dettd05h-16g8cm10cm-1-2-1.aspx it has the popular 60-1 compressor which was tested here. http://www.turbodirect.co.za/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=775&Itemid=55 ^^^^ very interesting read comparing to a 6262
  22. id put my money on the hypergear lasting longer and more reliable then those td06s though.
  23. yeah but what is the price? those kando things are going for 750 or something on fleebay. I am just about to buy one myself.
