  1. yeah but its hard to get the idea in someones head that the cam timing is out when they are convinced that it is not.
  2. fit a new decent intercooler setup, if this fails remove the timing belt and bottom pulley and re-set timing correctly. sometimes they can be a bitch to get right, i once gained 80rwkw from re-doing the timing that was already "correct"
  3. It should run on wastegate duty without the actuator being pulsed. Boost control must be setup correctly. are you running a internal or external gate? which ports on the external gate are plumbed to where? or how have you got the actuator connected? and where are the connected to on which ports on the solenoid? too many variables.. take it to someone who knows what they are doing to install it for you... or this might help. its how it should be setup for a external gate single turbo setup. INTERNAL SETUP is very different again!
  4. looking for a rb25det manifold for r33, wanting the turbo to sit in stock position and use a 38mm 2 bolt flange tial style wastegate. looking for a aftermarket log style one, or possibly a stock one welded that is proven to work well. cheers
  5. how do you know the oil pressure was down? what if the gauge was having a hissy fit ?
  6. weld a bead around the end of every cooler pipe. use normal worm clamps, if you want use 2. clean them, make sure there is no oil there. no need to do them up too tight. thats it.
  7. just to clarify. this is a original vipec plug and play board for SKYLINE RB. It supports all RB's including R34 GTR via dip switches, so rb20 rb25 rb26, EXCEPT IT DOES NOT SUPPORT R34 GTT NEO. It has does not require any extra harness's for supporting a 6 cyl, it does that standard, those extra cables there is the expansion cable which allows you to connect extra aux devices / temp sensors ($50 add on or something) it has full boost control, you just connect it to where the original one was in the first place. it has a inbuilt map sensor also, its a true plug in solution for RB skyline. this ecu is HIGHLY capable when in the hands of a tuner that knows what they are doing with them, can work well with 150kw to 1000kw + setups. hope this helps.
  8. the new model hand controllers look a little better.
  9. by the time you buy a z32 afm, electronic boost controller, a nistune board and install it and tune it, you are at around the same cost an adaptronic would cost which has a inbuilt map sensor and can controll boost properly with a cheap mac valve. www.skylineecu.com only way to fly.
  10. so i would expect a 15kw gain from a external gate on the stock exhaust manifold? its a HKS2535 it would also help with the boost issues as well. it drops 5psi by rev limiter.
  11. www.skylineecu.com the only way to fly these days.
  12. hahahahaa.. yeah pop it on a dyno and try it out.. its only a 15 minute job. lol I am putting a 40mm ext gate on my stock manifold, its running a hks 2535 making 235rwkw with boost issues... going to go external instead of stuffing around with actuators. would like to see 250rwkw from this turbo on 98. maybe 280ish with e85.
  13. you should be able to push it to 300rwkw without too much hassle.
  14. Yes well Arnout is a little guy compared to Nitto the giant. He will be doing his own testing in house on his engine dyno and also do field testing as well. Don't under-estimate the dude he has done some pretty awesome stuff, and this is not easy. at the end of the day, healthy competition and new ideas is what makes the tyres turn faster and faster every year!
  15. YES. It can. asking what boost you must run, how much horse power you will get, will get you nowhere. chuck it on, it will boost what it likes and then makes what it makes.
  16. they will be priced cheaper then the nitto pumps
  17. i am getting a couple of these bad boys to see how they sell in Australia. if anyone is interested send me a PM. here is more pictures of progress. they will be ready very soon. It actually uses the OEM toyota gears. its going to be the strongest RB pump available.
