  1. at the end of the day he is probably street racing anyway. enjoy getting your arse handed to you by a mildly tuned street gtr.
  2. the heads are the same. the only difference is the ignition system, the s1 runs a ignitor where the s2 and the .5's went to a coil which has the ignitior in built. the cams are different also, ( exhaust cam only) the s1 runs the older style CAS where the S2 runs the newer style, the way to tell is that the S2 has a plastic cover and the S1 is the old metal style. if you are changing the heads only you can run the ignition system that came on the car without any issues. you can also wire up the CAS if you need to. its pretty easy. good luck
  3. all you do is cut all the wires, twist them together and solder them up and tape it up good. its easy.
  4. hahahaha beat me to it... was going to suggest calling the police and report the engine number
  5. take the cover off coil loom, drive the car until it starts missing, then disconnect each cyl one by one. one of them you will notice that the engine sound will not change, that is the cyl that you are having issues with. remove the coil pack at a later date and check the loom, also check the injector connector for that cyl too.
  6. Adrian, some functions you cannot adjust the axis on, if you right click and are unable to adjust axis properties then it is usually not supported... which ones are you trying to adjust ?
  7. it will need to be checked. I have seen cars lean out alot after going to a half exhaust / side pipe. it also depends how restrictive the old setup was.
  8. what happened to the 420d? they are pretty much the same ecu as the select plug ins are anyway ??? the 1280 is the super ecu... i have used them, they are great but very advanced and setup is not as easy as the select range. if you get timing issues you should try and run one of pauls trigger discs first, but that requires removing the power fc because they only support oem trigger mode.
  9. Ryno: I have heard good things about them from a couple of tuners, however.... trent hates them with some interesting passion..... Trent: a workshop i tune at here in the UAE, purchsed 25 Wolf 3d units a LONG time ago, and they got 23 of them left brand new old stock ready to go.... but the issue is that they won't go... nobody wants them even when offering them at half the cost price!! trying to find support and info on them is proving to be a mission, i gave up trying. i think they have gone bust?
  10. 2 tuners who have tuned more cars then boobs you have gloated at has called bullshit to another one of your silly posts, then you turn this into a personal slander war ? this forum could really do with less tools like yourself. you are just a waste of time. im done with you, keep this on topic.
  11. i was trying to be nice, i really should have said wanker in hindsight.
  12. you just reminded me why i never bother with your meaningless posts... read my post. where does it say "power fc and datalogit and hand controller" ??? the guy just wants to get the car tuned and running correctly to enjoy the car, not buy all the tools to tune it himself. *sigh* troll much ???
  13. someone had to say it... i gave up with internet trolls. imo the power fc is still the best plug in option for mild setups where the customer just wants his car to run right on the cheap. you can pickup a cheap power fc for $500 these days, which is half the price of the more advanced options. they are rock solid, and i have never seen one die without user error.
  14. are they adjustable actuators ? have you checked the pre-load on them ? are they both the same ?
  15. what actuators are you using ? what is the base pressure set at ?
  16. send me a pm if you need any help. for your setup a power fc will be fine.
  17. i just close the wire on the door. run them for many years like this... works fine. i do this because back in the day i only had one wideband sensor and i would need to remove it from my own car and use it on other cars that i was tuning. never once had an issue.
  18. -9's suck... i had hks 2510s before and then went to -9s and it feels really soft comparing... but it could have something to do with having to ditch the hks dumps and going back to stock r32 ones... still its too hot here to tune it on big boost.
