  6. add me 11.3 @ 130.09 mph 1.9 60 foot pump gas with drag radials - r33 gtst
  7. i think you guys should disregard the comment above from 2002, things have changed sooo much since then. I have heard many success stories of cheap t70's going hard as, one even claiming 360rwkw out of a rb25. So yeah i dont use one myself but they are not as bad now as they were in the past.
  8. microtech's need a re-tune every 6 months.
  9. did you end up hireing turbotechnics's dyno mate?
  10. good idea. they are a great ecu.
  11. This thread needs to be locked after this reply. as it is all you need to know. The haltech is soo much better then the microtech, will be 100% nicer to drive and you will be able to get better economy. The microtech is great for full power race cars but if your going to be driving it on the street go the haltech. Yes i am aware that there are some tuners who can make microtechs go like a shower of shit. but this is not about that. if you have no money get a greddy emanage ultimate.
  12. take the pump out and re mount it.
  13. having the ecu correct ignition timing from the air temp is only a good thing. it might work without it but you will be silly to not hook it up.
  14. what paul was saying is that it cannot be done! If you get the HKS converter i think it can be done. but appart from that.... I like the AFM as well but i am starting to get sick of it getting wet and cutting out all the time... even though if i am hitting boost in the wet i am going to be going sideways regardless what gear i am in and it has saved my ass a few times from getting in trouble,, thats why i have kept it the way it is.
  15. please explain why a hammer hit your nuts.
  16. holy crap.
  17. r33's have a problem with the speed sensor, if the ecu does not get the correct speed it will play silly buggard with the gear changes. this happened to my auto r33 (when it was auto) so yeah you should contact john at UAS who knows ALL about this who fixed mine perfectly. www.gtr.com.au
  18. updates?
  19. i have as set. $100 delivered
  20. *clap* definatly be usefull i know a few people who would be interested in this
  21. try it. take pics. will give some of us some interesting internet storys to tell.
  22. Okay then, for now i might keep the cat but i wont change it to the good compliance cat i used last time to pass the test, i will use the crappy high flow one that does not work as well when using this fuel. Surely it will still pass. I am lucky because i can re-tune my car for cruise in probly around 10 minutes to get it running to the point where its driveable, then i can take it up to newcastle and chuck it on a dyno for a few hours and do the rest. I will only tune it to 18psi and about 300rwkw for the load side. Will also put the 5gas on and do a dummy IM240 test when on the dyno and will post results. This fuel might be a easy way out of passing the emissions test! will do some testing next thursday night, i will fill up my tank with it and a 20 litre drum to use once i get to newcastle. once i run out il load the 98 maps back up untill i can get more e85. Do you think the 044 pump will handle it OK ?
  23. I suppose i could ask the guys at the RTA to do a test with a cat and one without, i can change it in 10 minutes. They would probly be interested in the results as much as i am. I am thinking that with a cat and a car running on e85 it will pass the emissions test with flying colours. WITHOUT a cat. thats a story that needs to unfold to be told.. The more i think about this the more i want to just go out there and fill the tank with e85 then try get it going at the servo and tune it on the way home. anyone know where i can buy this stuff? im at Ryde I have a few things i need to check, will my tech edge wide band air fuel ratio still work with e85 or will i destroy it ? will it read correctly? what about my bosche 044 ext pump and my walbro 255l/m intank pump, will they survive the juice....
  24. yeah but mate you need to think that the car will only be running on 15% fuel. the rest is alcohol. There is not much nasties in the fuel to create nasties out the exaust. This might just work!
  25. having a read of this.. might take a different approach to my next emissions test. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Em...63#entry4124163 if anyone is interested
