  1. whoa, do you redline it every set of lights??? i get around 400-450km per tank around town in my r33
  2. I've heard that nowadays single plate clutches (well decent ones anyway) are pretty much up to most punishments. I just bought cheap exedy one from gb section....haven't seen it yet or had it fitted so not sure, but reckon its good enough for 240rwkw. We'll soon see. Heard lots of good things about Xtreme clutches too and also Jim Berry Clutches.
  3. hahaha i'm with you, only have gtst but its still hurting me to fill it all the time, especially with the kms i do every week. Good luck finding the horse, i'm tempted to go pushbike root, but carrying round a toolkit and machines might be difficult...
  4. Sorry another quick question, is RPM a brand??? It says RPM pressure plate, is that Exedy as well or is it only the clutch plate that is exedy??
  5. Can i ask what the RRP is on these kits??? Cause i've been looking at getting an Xteme Clutch and its a fair bit more expensive than this. Also Whats the clamping pressure like over stock??? Cheers
  6. "Yeah man you'll notice it, my clutch is cactus at the moment, i dumped it from about 4000rpm and the revs increased but car didn't budge an inch. smell was evil. Now its slipping while just accelerating hard. Gonna get a Heavy duty one from Xtreme clutches probably.
  7. I'm with waz, if its gonna be a fair bit might be worth fighting for, then never ever go back to that mechanic. Otherwise probably not worth the aggravation even though it pains me to say that. Dodgy people shit me.
  8. Its absolutely rediculous, who the hell DO we have to invade to get cheap petrol!!! Seriously though, anyone wanna start working on a way to get the same power out of my car by running it on garbage (like the car in "back to the future 2" did....well i think it was 2) Sick of getting ripped by governments. That oil document was an interesting read though. Scary stuff...will that mean i'll have to ditch the line??
  9. hey guys, did mine the other week, bitch of a job took me about 10 hours (cause i had no idea). I've got the hybrid instructions but no way to host them so if yas either post or pm me your email addresses i'll send it across. Its a PDF file. cheers
  10. Fastrotor, what a champion thats what we wanted to hear, someone who had actually installed one and had it tested. I'm getting mine installed this week. I do think that BATMBL should have done some testing himself if he wanted to start all this drama instead of just starting rumours. Anyway be good to hear if others have had em tested too.
  11. back to 3rd if you want to have any chance....but you probably won't
  12. Hey man, sorry haven't told ya yet, been heaps busy. Got it installed the other week, did it myself at home. Turned out good, but took me about 10 hours because it was the first time i'd ever pulled the front of my car off. Theres a few bugs with my install, my fault though, i need to move the ic back a bit and mod the front bar a bit more but its all installed and looking good (although hidden by my front bar same as yours!!!) i'll try and get some pics uploaded so yas can see, but the kit looks nice. Will look even nicer when its exposed a bit more. As for power i'm not sure yet, going in for another dyno run in a week or so so i'll let ya know how it all goes. once again thanks for your help raf
  13. Hey whats the deal, is there something freaky about my car cause i got it dynoed with minor mods (see sig) and even at 7psi it was pulling 169rwkw, and was 186rwkw @ 10psi. Was dynoed at unigroup, i would have thought scottmans would have been more powerful... Must be UBER dodgy tune
  14. have you checked to make sure no chains hooked on it holding it back???
  15. Yeah i'm with you....although i'm only 24. I think i've said my fair share of dumb shit on my way to learning what i know. Thats why i come here though to fill up the knowledge banks...well as much as i can, doubt i'll ever be another SK or someone like that. Still i think its good that people here are quite willing to help with most of your problems and questions. But i nearly punched a guy the other day who told me he used to have an r33 gtst as well which was dynoed at over 320rwkw (he couldn't remember exactly) without even touching the stock computer. Dumbass
  16. Cool thanks man, i think i'm gonna have to do a similar thing, i was looking this morning and it doesn't look like theres enough room anywhere else back there for em. My horns look bigger than those though, pretty loud too so we'll see. Photo turned out pretty good for camera phone!! I was worried about blocking the radiator too much but i think i'm just being overly pedantic, shouldn't really make any difference should it.
  17. Yeah i was wondering too how much an average rebuild costs. As i'm continually paranoid that my engine will die
  18. I'm with you guys, it should definitely be defectable!!! GTR wing is ok, cause doesn't mean you're trying to pass your car off as something its not, just looks better
  19. I dunno man, i'm pretty retarded in some pretty astounding ways!!! hahaha anyway i'll get some brackets from bunnings. Think i was too brain fried to think of that, by the end of the install i was just pushing things in hoping they'd fit! Been driving without a horn for a few days, desperately need it as i'm an angry driver..... Oh yeah, and i reckon it took me about 10 hours to install....
  20. Good to hear ya stuck to your guns and got your cash back, that is shit quality piping and welding. i bought cooler and cooler piping from rmahnovetsky in the gb section of this forum. All stuff was good quality and he's a good trader, fast delivery etc. Anyway all up was under 700 so might be worth a look.
  21. How will they be able to tell just by looking at it?? Couldn't you just pass it off as a rb25 or 26??
  22. Unigroup are a good mob. In Giraween www.unigroup.com.au
  23. HAhahah yeah i know. I'm feeling better about it now. Just took me so long and was a pain grinding and regrinding things to make it all fit. Now i still have to take the front bar off again to try and get the blinkers to fit....just painful thats all. Still you're right i'm 300bux richer and know a bit more. Would be easier to do again. I did have instructions which made it easier, just a bit nervy about cutting holes all over my car <_< Does anyone have any pics of their horn possies? Did you drill holes for them or mount them to existing bolts?? Its hard to get em in and have the cables reach em.
  24. Duplicate post
  25. well advan quoted me about 300 or so for it and Unigroup said about the same. Would have been the best 300 bux i ever spent!! hahaha anyway couldn't get photos yet, i'll have to get em later
