Oil going into combustion chamber from PCV valve on decel/vacuum. Caused by oil build up in the pipe from the RH rocker cover pipe to the PCV. Valve is closed under boost, a little oil builds up in pipe, you back off, valve opens and oil goes to hot exhaust side and smokes up.
Also agree it could be valve stem seals though.
I have seen some installed between the Intercooler and air con condensor, drivers side from the top, I put mine in the passenger side in the front guard as well in the 32GTR I had. Just need longer lines.
Great cruise Matt, cheers for organising, and I think we all had a good time. Pies were ok too.
You must have taken so many pics out of the side window!
Could be one of your air diverter valves. It could be stuck or busted and is letting the air go through the heater core?
They tend to give some trouble, just an idea considering you just had the AC system serviced and it should be ice cold..
On my second GTR now and couldn't be happier with my decision!!
Sure things can add up but in the end that bit of road out whoop whoop makes it all worth while.
Generally, maintenance is the key with these legends, look after them and they will serve you well for years, just like most other things.
No such thing in these heads, the aluminum head and the cam caps are the bearing journals.......not like your typical buick 3.8 v6 (boat anchor)
Measure the journals and check for wear, if in spec drop in new cams, if not get a replacement head or get the caps journals re-bored....
LolZ, what Matt said!!!
Ha ha, thanks Terry, very descriptive! I like the fact they look bigger due to thinner spokes, just like what the stockers do.
Matt, the last pic was taken on Drift Road, Richmond. Could of been anywhere though!
