  1. The points on cold start and idle quality, it's all down to the tune. Both my cars have/had PFC and the idle and cold start was great, just like factory. It's all down to the nut with the keyboard. Nistune sounds good, and they do the job well. Knock control is good, if it can be tuned to suit and is enabled as said earlier. PFC flashes a light on the dash if knock comes up and the hand controller will usually show you what it got to, so you can act on it accordingly.
  2. Yep, I fitted a kit to my 32. Should be foam with the kit... It's the same stuff we use in aircraft fuel tanks, aka tank foam. It's like a big version of scotchbrite!
  3. Nice effort on the Rigolli dyno today!!! Sounded nuts Pretty sure that dyno is low reading!!!for sure.
  4. Thanks Tin! Nice colour 34 you got there!! Also that's a nice dyno graph I saw today at the dyno. Good for a comparison when you've done some improvements . Bushes are in and suspension is back together. Still gotta do brake discs as they haven't come in yet, but put the car on the road for now as I'm sick of not driving it! It's still creaking!!!!!when I angle up driveways. It's not the swaybar or bushes either. I'm guessing Castor bushes have had it....but they look ok?
  5. Some more pics, I was bored waiting so I just kept cutting laps of the car park! s2000 made 255RWKW. And yes, I like carbon things!!
  6. Thanks Terry, I put up my figure in the first page, 211AWKW. Funny how different places can read so far out, and I had the same thing with my 32GTR 480HP to 418HP!!! temps, corrections etc. All wheel kw, mine should be roughly 250-260. They also said my Air fuel was 13:1, their o2 sensor is on crack!!! I guess after 50 cars at 2 runs each it won't be as accurate with all the carbon in it . I'll check it with my wide band o2 later. I had no knock or misfiring either. Ha ha, yeah, I think I let it idle for too long! Nice output from your 32 though Michael, in RWD lolz!
  7. Here are the pics
  8. What a day! Good to see a few SAU guys there too and a suprise appearance from our club president! Got there at 11:00am and was 51 on the list, got on the dyno at 5:15pm . The Powertune RB28 R34GTR took the cake with over 600 all wheel killer wasps! Somehow I went from 288RWKW last year when I got it tuned, to 211AWKW...so maybe it needs to be checked on the dyno. Still feels strong though, and I don't take dyno readouts too seriously, so maybe the drags will tell me in MPH how it's going! Pics will be up later.
  9. Dunno but you could try?
  10. I'll just go to the address in the first post.... See you guys there!!
  11. That's what I thought! The other way you mentioned would be top end and less low and midrange torque.
  12. Sweet, 4WD FTW. Just rock up with the cash and away you go!
  13. Nice build up! Looks like some good stuff done there.
  14. IN!!! Pic of my car was in the first post so I had to enter!!
  15. 4WD dyno?
  16. Don't buy one!!!so that they will be more rare to see on the road!! I like my 34
  17. Do you still have force on your foot when you push in the pedal? If yes, the pressure plate is working. If no, broken pivot ball (I've broken one) like one of the guys said, broken clutch fork (I've broken one before). Master, slave cylinder etc. I have managed to get most clutch and gearbox problems occur in the 6 years I owned my R32GTR. Like you said, extreme button clutch, we had the same thing on a mates 180sx, welded it to the flywheel twice. First time I pulled the box off and pried the clutch disc off the flywheel with a screwdriver lol. Second time I just started car in first gear and accelerated and decelerated repeatedly with my foot pushed on the clutch. Managed to break the bond between the clutch face and flywheel. No more clutch dumps, high RPM launches after that!!! Good luck finding your problem.
  18. Here's an updated pic for you....has the catch can fitted in this pic, pic is my car. Shroud is pretty important, so good luck with your search. Just put up a topic in 'wanted to buy'.
  19. Nice car I know that some aftermarket radiators do have the mounts for the stock shroud, such as cooling pro. You could get some mounts welded on and drilled?
  20. Good effort guys and gals. Better mic work and music would be good and maybe a car specs/mods list down the side of the screen?? But otherwise great job, considering next to no budget!!
  21. Bushes arrived today. I'll press em in tomorrow. Apparently the standard bushes are nylon, these are even harder!
  22. Ha ha, it's a good bit of kit Bob! Thanks again. Got the oil cooler kit in and did an oil change. Oil lines are no rubbing, secure and out of the way. Only thing left to do is to make a mount for the oil filter base. I hate doing these installs, because there is bugger all room to do stuff up under the plenum. Started it up and let it run for 10 minutes, checked oil pressure, gave it a few revs, all good. Not one drop of oil leaking anywhere! Gotta love jap kits!! Just waiting on discs and nismo bushes for the upper arms. Also scratched wheel bearings, and ball joints off the list as they are not needed. Also made my own spanner just to fit under the plenum to do up the unions. Also cut the slots out on the inner guard for the oil cooler to serve as an outlet.
  23. I know what you mean, done all that suspension work on a 32 and I am replacing some suspension bits on my 34 due to wear at the moment. Put a small screwdriver through one end of the hole and manipulate to get the bolt through. It can be a pain. Also just put the inner ball joint on loose to start off with. Just unbolt the balljoint from the hub, should be 2 nuts, with the busted arm still attatched. Spend $100-150 on a brand new ball joint, sorted. Or you will need to hammer the control arm back into the ball joint to lock it into it's wedge, as they are wedged in (the balljoint and the control arm hole has a taper) when they are done up. Then you can try to undo the nut again, with the thread liberally sprayed with WD40 etc. Replacing the ball joint would be better and easier though, especially if it has had a big impact, I have seen ball joints fail with pretty bad consequences.
