  1. Use R31 skyline boots. Should be easy to get, worked for me when I had to change them on my old 32GTR.
  2. Buy one and paint it bayside blue I was after a bayside blue one but settled on white.
  3. Welcome to the forums Andrew. Maybe you would like to come for a cruise with the rest of us this Sunday (SAU NSW official Megalong Valley cruise) and meet up with some other enthusiasts! Link to cruise info: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=findpost&pid=5902116
  4. No worries Brendan. See if you can find the HPI articles. They are a good read!
  5. There was one in HPI magazine a few years back, probably the same one. Biggest thing was sorting out wiring to the auto computer to the RB26 loom. Other than that it all bolts up...
  6. Cool, let us know Ben!
  7. Some 32 love: I miss it a little. Had a bit of everything in it!
  8. I guess the new owner will have to do that . You are right though, they weren't at zero!
  9. A few showers and a top of 16 degrees at the moment for Sunday. This event will still go ahead unless the weather takes a really bad turn. Last time I checked skylines are relatively water proof!!
  10. I used to get 150-155psi with stock engine. 260 poncams and a rebuild, it went to 125-130psi. R32GTR warm engine, plugs out, throttle open. No more that 14psi between cylinders is fine, and stock engine compression limit is 128psi, and standard value is 177psi @300RPM. From service manual.
  11. Is the cost a bit scarey for you?!, or do you just want a car on the road? Karchers v8 180 thing is up on stands for a few months now!...again P.S finish it!
  12. You looked pretty sick this week....cough cough
  13. Should be okay up to 350KW at the wheels, which is what I won't get to with -9's. There are a few variables though, so if in fact I do run into 90+% duty I'll look at bigger one's
  14. I like my little brothers build! I'm to lazy to gym it up....
  15. farch has one 4:3 diff spare, I'm sure he'd sell it once he get his 2way off it. He wants a 3.5:1 34GTR ratio.
  16. Wish it was so easy! I knocked it out with a cold chisel from memory, you could also mig weld a metal bar to it and lever it off... I like welding stuff! Get that damn car on the road Farch!! And, nismo used to sell side skirts for your 180! they look good as I saw on today.
  17. I agree there, but I'm not going to get it tuned to the edge, just something safe , usually like mid to high 11's air fuel on boost, but I'll leave that to the tuner... I've never blown an engine in 7 years of GTR ownership, only gearboxes!! I meant the blown engine bit lolz!, Hows the v8 going?
  18. Got them off a forum member a week back for $700. Stock AFM's didn't have much left in them, but it's the injectors I am worried about. Definately running in the mid 90's or so in this cold weather, so new injectors it is. I was told that I could push 300kw but it's not a good idea with everything on edge, so higher rated bits going in to go for my aim. Ha ha, true Ben, and even less sometimes, just ask Matt!
  19. Hi Cam, Standard RB26/VG30 spigot bush. No machining required, just have to knock out the automatic steel bush out of the crank. Mounts were from UAS...Unique Autosports.
  20. Just looked at your dyno graph Nick, very nice! You must be happy with the tune, and that would pretty much be my aim right there. 20psi maybe, don't want go to high (safety margin) with stock engine. Probably go with 18 even though life starts at 25PSI apparently
  21. Dunno yet Bob . A place with an AWD dyno will be the go!
  22. Thanks Richard. Oh well let them find out the hard way if they don't want to believe! On the engine front, I have now got the following ready to go on the car: New Nismo AFM'S 555cc Nismo injectors Nismo fuel pump I like bolt in stuff! Once I fit these, then it will be off to get tuned Still have to sort out the front left suspension squeaking on turns/uneven driveways etc. Seems to be getting a bit louder. Pretty much has to be the big castor bush in the alloy lower control arm that can't be replaced....everything else is good or new. Replaced front left driveshaft, but old on was fine, it got a new life on Sloane's 32GTR.
  23. Try just jap? So a 20-25mm spacer would be perfect then. If I did this I would probably see whether I could get spacers with the correct diameter center welded onto the wheels, then machined and painted.....
  24. That better? This even is open to non members as well, and a chance to meet and greet in person!!, and we plan to keep them coming! I'm going to stop whoring now.
