  1. Too many idiots, so probably not going again, but we had a skyline group going and that went well... Some nice cars too!!
  2. Replace the two ball joints on that arm while you are at it. Probably been weakened too.
  3. No probs. I usually go just jap online and they have ball joints available. Or nissan spare parts, just supply your vin number. Electric rattle gun 240volt with 300NM torque makes short work of tight bolts and nuts. I think I got it from bunnings.
  4. Modded 2 stock 32GTR airboxes now for Z32 AFMs. You have to redrill holes and use 8bolts and nuts, as well as silicone to seal AFM's and nuts. Also check the alignment for the plugs and other piping that surrounds the AFM's in the engine bay. Best of all, looks factory.
  5. Rota's on my last car. 18 x 9.5 +12 offset
  6. And I thought -5's were lazy on a 2.6!!!! Yep, only way to see what your current setup will do 'safely' is to put it on the dyno and test while monitoring vitals. Then let us know how it goes.
  7. Pull the front bar off and see what you can get to first, then source some thick steel plate and maybe bolt to the side of the reo bar mounts, adding some longer bolts, then bend plate to come through the air inlet opening in the front bar. Clean up the hole in the plate and paint red, done!! That's all I have for an idea...
  8. I'm keen on going to this event, and it should be epic. Just want to know who else would be keen for an epic road trip from NSW to this event? If there is a lot of interest, a meet point near the start of the Hume Hwy may be organised so that we can leave from the one place. Would be so COOL! Taken from the Vic topic. Ok there has been some talk in the locker rooms over the past week. Some of you might have been involved, some of you might have heard rumours, and some might just be in the dark… Either way, it looks as if we have agreed in principle that it’s about time we held an event to eclipse all those before it. What better than SAU Nationals right? It’s certainly long overdue, that much is certain Facebook Group Username: Skylines Australia Nationals http://www.facebook....100002163814442 The rough details are as follows: Where: Shepparton, Victoria - Incorporating in Winton Raceway When: 28/29/30th October Whats going to happen? Whats going to happen? - Trackday - Show’n’Shine - Burnout Comp - Some big signature workshop cars There will be trophies/classes for events and all that jazz. There will also be a metric tonne of prizes, giveaways and so on. Most people might need a day or two off work… I think it’ll be well worth it however If you are a SAU Club member (QLD/VIC/NSW/SA/WA) then you will get priority entry into the events, also heavily discounted entry and accommodation pricing. More information coming in Feb 2011. Please feel free to give ideas/thoughts as we are only just starting to plan. We will also be looking for businesses willing to sponsor the event. So if you are a business, want some naming rights or perhaps come along to promote/advertise – then please contact me (once the PM system is up and running) Thanks -Ash President SAU-Vic SAU Admin Link to the topic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/346683-sau-nationals-2011/

  14. Like everyone else, I had a ball! and the outback steak house feed and talk was great, will definately do that again. Big thanks to the organisers too! Was able to take a few future SAU guys for a spin too and I'm sure they had a ball too. Nice pics Matt! . And thanks for the ride Paul, that 33 is nuts, can't wait for the -5's! 18. WRX fail in this order: Clutch, gearbox, engine, especially the earlier one's.. STI gearbox is one fix along with a heavy duty clutch.

    Bundaberg

How'd you guess!! Bad points: it's a 1400KM drive one way to get there. Good points: It's a 1400KM cruise in a GTR!!

I'm there once a year to visit the folks....
  21. So, do you have wheels to suit, the 16's will not fit!! And, overkill much!!
  22. They shouldn't fit normal wheel weights to gtr wheels!! Should be the stick on ones, otherwise the rim gets damaged/scratched.
  23. Nice car! and that's a nice looking carbon lip
