  1. Farch might actually post something about his car one day!, instead of me.lol.
  2. Welcome to Richmond! Haven't seen you driving the beast much lately.
  3. Got my rear one replaced, used a common seal like VP commo, required the window to be removed and refitted.
  4. Got some rotas, Craziest offset I've ever fitted. Skyline model = R32 GT-R Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9.5" Wheel offset = +12 Tyre size = 265 35 R18 Modifications to fit = roll lip on guards, bit of camber Other wheels are nismo 400R wheels, Skyline model = R32 GT-R Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 10" Wheel offset = +15 Tyre size = 265 35 R18 Modifications to fit = roll lip on guards
  5. 2x 2 day passes please! Sean Lloyd. Money deposited 04 May 2010
  6. The instrument cluster needs to be sorted too. Tacho needs to be recalibrated for the v8 signal, and the speedo also needs to be adjusted.
  7. Thats the one! lol. Neat car.
  8. They fit in the stock rail, lube up the o rings, they are a tighter fit but are fine. Stock connectors fit as per factory. It's the 800cc injectors that require different plugs.
  9. $16,000 negotiable. Buy me! Got the car checked out and by the looks of the rear quarter panels, they have been repaired in the past, hence paint not that good. So they would need to be replaced and car resprayed, cost 7-10k?.
  10. Finished the cooling system by cutting radiator hoses to fit the outlets on the block and radiator. Also got a belt that fits the alternator, just needs thermo fans. Adjusted clutch pedal and took it for a quick spin with no brakes or seats! Just the handbrake to pull it up. It sounds tough and goes hard, and no traction lol. Putting up more youtube vids.
  11. Exhaust is done, twin 2.5inch into a single 3inch, with twin cats, 4 into 1 headers. Finished the main wiring to get the engine running, had to cross check the 180sx and vh45 wiring codes and fix a couple of wires, so now it starts and runs. Sounds sweet!!! I'll put up a link to youtube soon. Also fitted the alternator and made some brackets to attach to the block. There is clearance!
  12. Thanks Mark and Terry. I think I'll need a bigger display case in the future lol.
  13. They are different to the R32-33GTR box. Fibre bushes used in the synchros and the way it is built (getrag) requires a type of ATF fluid. Supras use the same/similar innards and use a type of ATF fluid in the gbox. Redline oil will kill it.
  14. A few years back I started to get a miss at 4500-5000rpm on acceleration (peak torque). Pulled out the stock coils and cleaned em, then wrapped em with self amalgamating tape, checked plugs, still missed so old coil had had it. Bought splitfires from just jap, put em in, no more missfire, no problem at all since and that was like over 4 years ago! Run up to around 470hp at the treads and no probs. Yellow jackets look like a good replacement from what you guys have experienced though.
  15. Some nice models there, and the F1 cars are cool! I bought a glass cabinet from a trophy store second hand for $100. Cleaned it and plugged it in, no more dusty models!
  16. Clutch fan is great, but thermos would be good, if they are shrouded properly and taken from cars like AU, BA falcons etc. I've still got the clutch fan....
  17. Do and oil change first with some Castrol transmax Z or equivalent, if that does not help, it's most likely the synchro on 3rd, and will require a rebuild/freshen up. 10 years and xxxxxkms nothing lasts forever!
  18. Spotted a 32 (i think) pass me near the RAAF base, then saw DMO *** 32GTSt on the great western SAU sticker on her side window, got snobbed lol. Then spotted a silver 34GTT as well, so a 3 car cruise for a few minutes lol.
  19. Nothing wrong with the 2530 internal wastegates. Been running em with HKS dumps for years and they do not spike, creep etc. The wastegates are a lot bigger than the pissy stock ones. Dump pipes that have a separate outlet for the wastegate gases is the way to go with less turbulence than the stockers.
  20. At least it didn't get burnt out!! Good luck with it!
  21. We put a vh45DE in my mates 180sx, wirings a pain! I'm still sorting it out. I know the black wire with the pink trace is the fuel pump relay negative input. Thats an important one. I used a multimeter to find some of the 12v power wires to the computer too, by turning ignition key to different positions with the battery connected. Get a hold of the nissan sevice manuals on the net, helps a bit. Good luck!
  22. Thanks Nick, only thing I didn't do was the tune, that was best left for dyno tuner! Went on the SAU Bells cruise today and it was great, nothing wrong, all tight, no knocks and rattles, handled great. No one want to look and offer? Spec V, nice ride, if I was after a 33GTR I would definately check yours out, looks great!
  23. WSID did it to us last year! Last time I checked we are not in New Zealand!!! That really pissed me off, and a lot of other people.
