Anyway, as you and others have pointed out, the value of the car is limited to what a purchaser is willing to pay for it. Others here, many of whom have been on the boards for a long time, would be prepared to pay early to mid, and perhaps even high, twenties for it. That should give you a pretty good indication of ball park valuation. If you consider that the car is worth $35k, then go for it. I won't put a figure on the car and undermine the seller's attempt at selling his very neatly presenting car, but I think you should seriously consider the quantum of your offer. As someone pointed out however it does sound as though you have already made up your mind.
