  5. Do most people buy their GT3582s from GCG? There are so many GT35Rs out there - hard to know where to buy the best option from!

  10. Have been seeing a very tidy Bayside Blue R34 GTR with personalised plates around Floreat recently ... hats off to you, it's a lovely looking car Saw it again this evening at Floreat Forum
  11. Looking good dude
  12. That very well could be it, thanks mate. Agree, it's a bit hard to see on such a small photo unfortunately.
  13. Hi guys Just wondering whether anyone can identify the wheels on the 32GTR in the following pic for me please, as I must say - they do look pretty tough. Cheers
  14. Anyway, as you and others have pointed out, the value of the car is limited to what a purchaser is willing to pay for it. Others here, many of whom have been on the boards for a long time, would be prepared to pay early to mid, and perhaps even high, twenties for it. That should give you a pretty good indication of ball park valuation. If you consider that the car is worth $35k, then go for it. I won't put a figure on the car and undermine the seller's attempt at selling his very neatly presenting car, but I think you should seriously consider the quantum of your offer. As someone pointed out however it does sound as though you have already made up your mind.
  15. Very nice pics, car looks great! Not a fan of the plates though I have to say.
  16. I used 'Outer Control' in Myaree ... they did a good job and from memory weren't overly expensive. Unit 1/ 78 McCoy St, Myaree Ph: 9330 2760
  17. Taken from here: So yeah, you should have been charged $450 and they should have asked you if it was ok to do the extra work to increase it to $550. One would assume then that the quote lasts as long as it is enforceable and reasonable, ie if the quote is 9 months out then its likely it cant be reasonably enforced because of increase in price of labour, parts etc etc.. On topic though, Hyperdrive was always a great place to do business when Ken had it but I haven't had any experience with the new owners. All indications point towards them being pretty good though..
  18. I checked it out yesterday at the show. The car looked absolutely hot, so much better in real life than in pictures. But to be honest I was disappointed with the way they marketed it - I mean WA is the heart of the mining boom, with a lot of guys and girls young and old with oodles and oodles of spare cash. The GTR hasn't been on sale in Australia for years, so surely you'd think they'd be making a song and dance about in an attempt to net some new fans.
  19. Exactly. As has been said elsewhere, Nissan's main revenue stream from the R35 GTR will not come from the sale of the cars, but the subsequent servicing. It's no secret that this is how many similar companies operate. Not really sure what their problem is ..
  20. Looks like a scare tactic by Nissan as they know that emails like this will penetrate into the enthusiast scene through its workforce. There's nothing they can do as long as the cars are imported into Australia legally.
  21. While I agree that the R35 is likely to cost more than $130,000 I'm not sure you can base your argument on the top end of the asking price for the R34 in Australia. I mean really, who is going to pay more than $100,000 for an R34 GTR in Australia these days? I think the reasons for asking $130-$150k are more likely to be those stated elsewhere, that the GTR is the target of a niche market only and to maximise profits Nissan will aim to sell fewer units at a higher cost.
  22. Just go upgraded clutch, boost controller, dump/front pipes and decent launches with good sixty footers and you'll be in the 12s
  23. In your few postings on this forum (under this guise?) you have not exactly conducted yourself in the manner that would command respect either. The 'personal barbs' have clearly arisen out of frustration experienced by forum members in response to the arrogance displayed by you in relation to the specialist and enthusiast importation regulations, and your apparent lack of knowledge thereof. Kindly do not post misleading and inaccurate information without doing thorough research first .... from a credible source. It's not a debate as you say, it is just the constant rebuttle of your ridiculous comments.
