  1. Cheers for the reply Martin Actually seems easier than I had originally thought! Did you buy your distribution blocks from anywhere in particular or are they just generic Jaycar-type ones?
  2. Holy crap, I only just noticed this thread. So glad to hear you got your car back mate in one piece but also sorry to hear that you had to go through the ordeal of having your pride and joy stolen I've had it happen once before and it's not good
  3. Looking great! Muffler is going to need a polish though
  4. That's a great shot! So jealous you were up close and personal with the Hornet as well
  5. A mate went there a month or 2 ago to have a pair of front seats fitted. I gave him a lift to pick the car up and upon arrival he was ignored at first then copped a fair amount of whinging and moaning from Danny because the rails needed to be modified...piss poor I thought especially for a first time customer.
  6. The link you posted above shows that the first cars were produced in August 1989 so unfortunately your car won't fall into any scheme that applies to cars built prior to 1 Jan 1989.
  7. Why don't you look up the rules and regs for your particular state and then compare your car's build date to those regs?
  8. I wouldn't bother, I think they look good!
  9. Huh? Wouldn't yours fall into the September 1989 range?
  10. Spotted MLCrisis just now on underwood ave - looking awesome as always! I was being chauffeured in the big green Mercedes (less glamorously, the bus)
  11. Very very nice mate, well done - you must be stoked!
  12. Nice vid Did you set the ETS controller up any differently than to how you might have it set for circuit ?
  13. Hey guys I have a bunch of things (gauges, etc) spliced into power, switched power, illumination etc and saw Hanaldo's distribution block idea in his build thread.... great idea! I want to clean up the wiring behind my dash as it's such a mess and I'd also like to move my battery to the boot so I thought it would be a good time to set up these distribution blocks. Obviously each block needs an "input" - so power, illumination, earth and switched power - but what's the best way to set up these "inputs"? I would imagine they'd need to be fairly hefty gauge wire to each to cater for a bunch of devices tapping in? And where is the best places to get the 'feed' for each of these i.e. where should I source the switched / illumination to feed the distribution block? Earth I guess is just a big earth to chassis and live power is to the battery? Thanks in advance for the help Here is a pic from Hanaldo's build thread so you get the idea:
  14. Were you at the No Limits event tonight mate? I was spectating...your car looked and sounded good, was spitting some nice flames Poor bloke in the black R34 blew his motor by the sounds of things
  15. Looking great mate, keep the pics coming! Are you re-installing the air con or leaving that out? Power steering cooler as well or re-installing the standard horrid-looking finned coil thing?
  16. Looks like one of these: http://www.rhdjapan.com/kansai-traction-tow-hook-nissan-skyline-gt-r-bnr32-bcnr33.html
  17. lol @ party time button!
  18. This is seriously cool stuff - looking forward to reading more! Great work!
  19. Thanks mate I'll take a look
  20. Do you mean the part in the middle where the leak is coming from? I'm not sure actually, I'll have to check. Can that middle part be tightened?
  21. Hi all I replaced the oil cooler on my car recent as am moving it to a new spot, but having tightened up the fitting to check for leaks I found that it had a substantial leak from what I think is the o-ring on the fitting (pic attached with leak circled). I replaced the fitting with a new one (I didn't replace the red attachment on the hose, only the blue fitting) but it's still leaking from the same spot. Now, when tightening the fitting originally I hope that I didn't cross thread it at all - it didn't go on very easily - so not sure if this is contributing. Does anyone know what causes a leak in this location? Thanks in advance
  22. There are plenty of R34 GTRs for sale, why risk buying one that you're not entirely happy with.
