As already mentioned, the RB26 dyno results thread is a good place to start. Failing that maybe have a read through this thread - it's long and some of the earlier posts might be outdated so start from the end and read back. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/251820-got-over-400kw-atw/page-153

I think so mate, typically the ones that I have used and seem to generally be recommended are the BCPR6ES - the R is for resistor I believe.

I bought the RB26/LS2 coil brackets and springs from Rick at Mojo Performance recently and finished installing it over the weekend. His brackets really are mint - saves you the hassle of having to make up brackets if you want a decent looking finish. I did the wiring myself, wasn't particularly difficult given there's a few guides out there on the net but was pretty fiddly at times. The coil cover should fit back over aswell which is good. Anyway, recommend having a look at the above link if you're wanting to do something similar - just makes life so much easier!

93 R32 Gtr Street Monster!
JH32 replied to Jake91's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Sweet as, can't be long til it's finished now? -
Haha, that's great can't wait to see how it turns out!

Agreed, and exhaust energy has an effect on spool. Then on E85 you have so much more headroom to adjust timing as against PULP, which has additional effect on spool due to a further change in exhaust energy. There are so many threads on the interwebz about timing versus spool, they can't all be wrong!
-
So ignition timing has no effect on spool?
-
or like the T04Z

I think there's a bit of fiddling around with the RB25 sump but it's certainly doable. Or you could cut the diff off the 26 sump and use that.

Advan RS is what you're after

That's still very respectable, and at least you had fun... that's the main part! How were you launching the car Bob? These things need a little tough love from the start line, you might feel bad in doing it but it's what she's made for There's absolutely more to be had from your car, your 60 foot time of 2.1s could come down to 1.6 to 1.8 seconds with a bit of practice - I'm not a drag racing expert by any stretch of the imagination but that little bit shaved off the front end often seems to translate to a larger amount shaved off at the other end. Well done in any event, at least you came out the winner against the HSVs and FPVs!

My R33 Gtr (Lzy33R) - Built Rb26/30
JH32 replied to LZY33R's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Very nice man, very nice indeed. Any specs on the build? Turbo is a GT40ish size? -
1 T67 on a 3L is probably a little different to 2 T67s on a 2.6L
-
Why are you so set on twin high mounts? I agree with Tonba, there are much nicer turbos out there these days than the td06 / T67 / etc.

This is looking great! Well done!

Does Vipec still make the plugin for R32/R33/R34? I spoke to my local tuner and he said that Vipec have discontinued the plugins (still make them for BMW, Volkswagen etc) and they are now branded as Link G4+. Somewhat related to the discussion above is that I believe the Link G4+ now has OBD2 interface which means you should be able to sync it with apps such as "Torque Pro" to get yourself a pretty cool readout if used in conjunction with an Android tablet or similar.

Cheers for the info guys. I wonder when the sticker made its way on to the boot, whether it was at the factory if it was at the end of the production line or a previous owner; I have no idea. At the end of the day I'm not fussed if it's a V-Spec 1 or 2, I just wanted to know so that if I ever sold it down the track I would know exactly what it is that I am selling on to someone else. Good luck this weekend Bob! At the very least I'm sure you will have fun!

Many thanks Bob. Hi Mike, sure, no problem: Model of car: R32 GTR V-Spec 'Chassis No' code: BNR32-307510 'Model' code: KBNR32RBFS AA Photo of the blue chassis plate that is fixed to the car in the driver's side of the engine bay: As posted above Where the car is located - Perth, Western Australia I bought the car about 2 years ago. As far as I know, it had 3 owners before me in Australia. The 2 prior to me were young guys, didn't have the car much longer than 18 months each. The first owner was, as I understand, a slightly older guy who spent a lot of time maintaining the car, modifying it, and generally looking after it. I still use the same workshop bloke and tuner that he used - according to one he was an Australian Federal Police officer, and the other says he was an SAS soldier. It is probably the case that neither are true but either way, was amusing for me! I don't use the car much as I have a daily driver, but I do enjoy taking it to the local circuit (Barbagallo) every now and then. I have also taken it to the drag strip twice, running a best of 11.1 seconds down the quarter mile. In some respects I would like to have a nice unmolested example, having seen some of the lovely cars here in this thread, but at the same time it's a great car to drive and I don't regret having done any of the work to it that I have to date. The motor is out of an R34 GTR V-Spec 2 and is running a single turbo setup (GT35R); it has the oil side of things all looked after, and runs on E85 fuel. It's currently off the road again as I decided that through winter I would take the opportunity to install an LS2 coil setup and a Vipec/Link computer to replace the PowerFC that it had previously. I've also installed an ETS-Pro 4WD controller to help out at the track. I quite like where I have got it to now - it looks reasonably stock from the outside, save for a set of 18" wheels, and is in great condition. The interior is immaculate except that I've taken the stock 3 gauge DIN panel out and replaced with some better gauges that have audible warnings etc. I'm going to keep the interior as it is Here's a couple of pics and a video for a bit of fun. Top down shot of the car in a mate's factory: Interior shot: Another interior: Mates silliness: #@PSIKO #@VFRegal Barbagallo silliness (my oil cooler hit a ripple strip - thankfully the aforementioned gauges with audible warnings worked a treat!): Quarter mile silliness: http://youtu.be/nbVbXVpHdCk

6Boost Vs. Doc-Race Vs. Full-Race Manifold
JH32 replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I've got a 6boost, seems to work well, no cracking etc. I've read that there can be a boost creep issue with the design of the manifold and I've experienced a bit of that myself but changing the spring in the wastegate fixed it to a large extent. -
As above I'd buy a cheapie and throw all your bits and bobs into it. Then sell off all the salvageable parts from the wreck. Sad to see that you lost your pride and joy but at least you lived to tell the tale

He's got about 80 threads of his own, all asking the same question or a variation thereof.
