  1. My 1200's are making 708rwhp on E85 (on their limit) so no reason why 1300's shouldn't piss in 600 I know a lot of people who are having issues with blocked EV14/ID2000s on Ethanol, we are just using the Deatschwerks 1200cc drop in GTR ones now as they seem to be hassle free
  2. Just a new set of Splitfires and copper plugs (nothing fancy)
  3. Looks nice and responsive! Is it 4.11 ratios with relatively normal sized tyres? Just trying to get a rough gauge of road speed vs rpm
  4. Speed Event Series at Barbagallo on the 15th of December. I finally got my catch can vent and drain plumbed in, just have to get the gearbox changed (and slipping in some Nismo engine mounts at the same time) then I'm ready to go
  5. I've gone through Sucrogen, Martini and now use United... Changes in tune were virtually nothing, minor fuel tweaks no more than you would normally see without changing fuels. We actually made the most power with United but didn't push as hard with the other 2 fuels for various reasons. One interesting thing we found was that Martini played funny buggers with the oil significantly more than United and Sucrogen! Unless you're at the point where you are trying to squeeze every inch left out of a set up (which I would assume is less than 1% of people in here) then pump stuff
  6. HANS are not compulsory in early modern. In saying that I'm a huge advocate for safety being over the top in modern times... but after doing Targa High Country I doubt I'd be going back without a HANS device and winged seats
  7. Yeah pushed a bit harder on the final run, in hindsight we probably should have gone that hard all weekend because we were still well within the limits. Still just happy we finished with no issues and didn't die Was great fun, today is the first day I actually feel normal again, so much lack of sleep! At the moment no plans for more Targa's although the sponsors were pushing us to organise to come to Wrest Point
  8. Good to meet some of you on the weekend, we sucked but we still had fun and had a good final run up Buller. Whole weekend was an eye opener!
  9. I've got fittings welded to the sump, I'm just going to let the oil drain back and do its own thing *fingers crossed. Turbowerx pump cost me just under $500 delivered, flick me a PM with an offer I can't refuse It comes with -6 AN in and out fittings but you can get others if they are too small/big. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151158789695
  10. Fatz I have a turboworx exa mini pump ill sell you cheap as I'm not going to use it anymore
  11. Soooo... Apparently it's snowing today in Mount Buller and raining next weekend. EEEK
  12. All stickered up, getting close now!
  13. There isn't going to be 120kw difference between hub and wheels especially with the updated correction. Sounds like they are not 1200s... what brand are they? Never heard of the flow being engraved into side before?
  14. To be honest it was a surprise to us, we didn't know they were that weak. Only found out after doing research after That motor is in the bin and new one is already in the hole and running so all is well. Yeah E85 but backing it right back to 1bar now because we don't want to head across the country just to lunch another motor... How about you?
  15. Nothing more unfortunately. just hit max boost and max torque at 1.4bar and bent 2 rods Apparently EVO VIIs are known for their weak rods so if you do a bit of searching it's not the only one that has let go at low rpm under load
  16. 4500rpm in 4th is same speed as you would be changing from 2nd to 3rd in a RB26
  17. Not kidding... I bash the hell out of a RB26 making 700rwhp on a stock bottom end and it takes everything I can throw at it. Make 300awhp in an 4G63 and it throws 2 legs out of bed at 3600rpm in 4th gear on a warm up lap
  18. Well you're going to flog us in that haha Took it for the first shakedown the other night and ended up with this after half a warm up lap. Shit Bitsrmisn engines, luckily new one is already in the hole.
  19. Targa High Country... Who is competing and who is going to watch? I'm coming over from Perth and Co-driving an Evo 7, it's both of our first time out so not trying to win just coming for a bit of fun
  20. I used them on my old green Gts-t. Managed to match my RE55 time on short track in a high powered rwd skyline so they grip like crazy for what they are (a few suspension changes at the same time so that would have helped)... Not a semi by any stretch but you wouldn't lose time a whole lot of time compared (maybe 1.5sec slower)
  21. A SR20 as it would have more torque in the used rev range.
  22. Better tell that to the F1 manufactures... Actually tell that to any race team that runs a turbo car that smashes larger displacement higher torque V8s. Do you remember Group A? Or maybe you should grab a 6L turbo diesel and take it to the track and you will obliterate everything! I personally love that phrase, makes it easy to pick out people with no clue
