  1. They relieve the pressure in the sump, therefore there will be less pressure in the head as well. Less pressure in the sump makes the oil drains work more efficiently. I have 2 lines (with no valve) going from the sump to the catch can and they never have given my oil a path to leave my engine. Realistically my GTR is almost worst case scenario for oil problems, it's quick around a track (g-forces), cops a lot of boost and decent power, has no head restrictors plus runs slightly higher than normal oil pressure. I had severe oil control issues and the only thing that helped was vent from sump to catch can. Not only did it help but it 100% solved all my issues so in my opinion you're nuts for not liking the idea
  2. My High Octane (Mine's baffles) did very little to help the problem. Venting the sump from the drivers side to a catch can made 100% difference, everything else was little help at best
  3. 66.7 I think was best long track, did some suspension stuff after that which would have made it quicker but never got it out again. I think most the RWD quick Skylines are around the 66 mark but Denver is doing 63 (but that is a race car) If you can crack into the 65's or better your doing well
  4. Haha, let me get all these improvements done and then see how I go from there... It would rustle some jimmies if I did
  5. Getting a Quaife ATB front diff installed and the rear is getting rebuilt to around 30% higher torque settings. That plus the brakes and I'll take it back out for some fun
  6. I realise that soft is the way to go, although I would imagine with that amount of weight transfer would not be helping tyre life.
  7. From the photos the guys put up on Targa facebook I'm not suprised you munched tyres! That suspension must be very soft and what swaybars are you using?
  8. Awesome to see you finally getting there... Can't wait to see it out on track soon! Are you going to run the wires through the steering wheel boss? I have a certain distaste for those curly telephone cord wires
  9. Mate finally bit the bullet and is ditching his GT3076R for a 5858 on his R34 Gt-t, was making a touch under 500 before so I'm guessing it will bump up to around 550 with not too much more lag
  10. Shift F5 seems to have fixed it, will keep you updated if there are any other symptoms
  11. Something massively wrong with mine... I check the my content page and it shows new posts as recent as today but go to threads and the most recent posts visible are days ago
  12. Have you tested the fuel pressure? 044s have been known to shag out with E85
  13. Will have a very good set of brakes for sale within the next month... CSC 4 pots with 2 piece 343x32mm rotors
  14. and munched another front diff at Powercruise on the weekend Got a full Friday in before it died so here is a video of some of the runs http://youtu.be/q8_LzFIRH5w?list=UUq2ZF0ygTtORh0fW9KCKfmQ
  15. Yeah wasn't a 6766 damo... By the way when is your 6766 arriving?
