  1. Wasn't hard to guess. They are junk and all block with E85. I don't know why people bother
  2. Dial them into spec that came with the cams
  3. No argument there, but a circuit capable tyre for less than half the cost of most r-compounds is worth mentioning.
  4. Import Monster are doing AD08R in 265/35R18 for $220 each today, steal at that price
  5. RB coilpacks to suit RB26 and RB20 in very good condition. $150, PM me on here or SMS 0422426866
  6. Pair of R34 dual ball bearing GTR turbos. Come with manifolds, dumps and O2 sensors. Very good condition and great upgrade for R32 and R33 for more power and torque with better response $500, PM me on here or SMS 0422426866
  7. Looks like 1000rpm fluctuations on the last rpm pull which I assume is 3rd gear. I agree that's too much scatter, mine is only a few hundred rpm max which I can live with
  8. Where from? My ignition system was starting to break down at 2 bar so we gapped down the plugs a little. Wouldn't mind trying this morristech out
  9. With my old Green car with RB25 it has manual VCT switched through Vipec. I think we ended up switching it at around 1800rpm and never switching it back! Which leads me to the question, apart from a shit idle why not just advance the timing the whole rev range?
  10. Well I have a unrestricted exhaust and "smaller" duration cams (either 256 or 264) and they aren't exactly strangling power at over 520kw at the hubs. If I could drop 10-20hp and pick up a few hundred rpm I'd do it, actually I'd just bump the boost up a tad to get those ponies back and be happy all round
  11. Tomei Test car... http://www.tomeiusa.com/_2003web-catalogue/e070_cam_RB26.html
  12. So at just over 400ps you make under 2hp less but some on here say lag can improve by 800rpm... I wonder what the difference in power is like at 700ps and 8500rpm I currently have Grex (Trust) drop in cams that came with the car, as far as I'm aware they came in either 256/256 or 264/264 9.1. Always pondered how much I would kill top end power with the Tomei Type-R, can always do with more midrange
  13. Probably worth mentioning that it's not essential on all RBs. For instance mine with the stock CAS is about as accurate as your trigger set up
  14. No worries, was just a heads up! Looks to be back now
  15. Hi guys, Going through a user and finding their "My content" seems to be coming up with a blank search. Cheers Simon
  16. Got a Quaife getting installed in January
  17. I've personally done 2 front diffs in the last year. I'm lucky they have just died but it's not uncommon that they can punch out of housing and take out the sump. I would suggest a Quaife or go a Ruzic diff controller if you want to keep the stocker
  18. I would suggest also getting an aftermarket front diff when you put it in... The system munches standard ones
  19. Myself on a 60 odd second lap give 2 seconds away going from A050 medium to 123s
  20. Well GTR ownership is getting expensively depressing. Quaife ATB which has finally arrived this week and is being installed on the 6th of Jan. Rear diff has been rebuilt and tightened so it's gone from 19lb/ft of breakaway to 49lb/ft. Should be even better for 4wd sideways action once both diffs are back in. All shiny and tight! Dog also helped me out to check out condition of the motor Said it was all good! Spare boxes for days, I've actually got 2 more but I wasn't moving them just for a photo
  21. Get Sean to tune boost vs throttle position on a map... Also play around with gear trims on the track
  22. GTR is miles quicker at the track and a fair whack quicker in a straight line, the old green thing was bargain performance where the GTR isn't
  23. My old car still has the original going strong after all these years and 3 owners
