  1. With 450rwkw an extra 50kw isn't really going to help, you're going to be going from wheelspin to even more wheelspin.... I would just go the 6262!
  2. Competed in the WASCC LF Speed Event Series at Barbagallo Long Track on Saturday. Went 61.80 on the long track which I still can hardly believe. Got the class win and came 4th overall, only being beaten by 2 open wheelers on slicks and a fiberglass 950kg 180sx with a Chev V8 and slicks. We are trying to work out if it's right but we are fairly sure I'm now the fastest street car (interior, full glass and no cage) around the track. There are a few cars that are quicker on r-comps but they are all stripped out race cars.
  3. I understand one side of the motor has higher pressure than the other. But it's just that, higher pressure. If there is excessive pressure everywhere in the sump the inlet side will vent pressure as it does on a rb25.
  4. Last one didn't work...
  5. and the f**k ups/overtakes
  6. Don't say RB's suffer from oiling issues, because RB25's don't... RB26's do! The difference between RB25's and RB26's is that one has a crank case vent and one doesn't... Reducing blow by will work, but why not do what most other turbocharged motors (RB25, 1JZ, 2JZ, SR20 etc) on the market do and have a crank case vent? There is only excessive pressure in the sump because it has nowhere to escape! I'm currently playing around with my RB26 at the moment, my plan for this weekend is running the dipstick tube as a crank breather, I'll let you know how it goes If that works, and depending on how well it works I'll then start to think about venting the rear turbo oil drain to the cam cover.
  7. A small video of overtaking and f**k ups from the track day
  8. Yeah I think I went back out as soon as you left haha Short track I'm still slower than Chris's old FANTA 32R and Gav Beer but long track I don't know of anyone who has gone faster without a stripped out caged race car?!?
  9. and a few of short track...
  10. HAHA my old Green thing wanted to slide under brakes and kill me when I hit the loud pedal... This one is much more relaxing to drive! I'll put up some more videos when I get a chance, you will see it's not always so smooth
  11. ANZAC day track day. Very happy with my times!
  12. I was shocked (pardon the pun) by that video... I always assumed we would end up all going down that path but honestly didn't see something like that possible even in the next 10 years. Obviously cost is the inhibiting factor at the moment but you would almost put your money on them dropping massively over the next 10 years, after all how much did a 42" Plamsa cost a decade ago?
  13. I'll just chuck this here...
  14. Just made the FP HTA GT35R's look very tasty. Pitty I'm not going to buy a new manifold and turbo just to test
  15. As Lithium said 6262. I run about 1.6bar for thrashing and 1.4bar at the track. Got a full track day this Thursday so will try and pull some logs from that
  16. What a load of crap... If they wanted weight in the rear to help with distribution they would mount it as low as possible as ballast not in the wing.
  17. Vipec logging of a drive I did home the other day... Shows loading up to 1 bar of boost in 2nd and 3rd 2nd Gear 3rd Gear
  18. No doubt, mine isn't getting pushed at all and it's starting to get right up there power vs power rating wise. I just find it hard to imagine a larger turbo on basically the same motor set up as mine and Jez's is making almost double the power at 4000rpm and a huge extra wack of hp top end all while using 99 Octane fuel not E85 If I thought that graph was genuine and repeatable I would have already sent an email requesting an invoice for the purchase
  19. Raises some eyebrows to say the least. Things to consider, it's on SAE correction on old software so I would say it's around 600rwhp on a roller (but that's on normal fuel not E85) You have to wonder how long the ramp rate is, 350hp at 4000rpm is about double what I would be expecting from that turbo
  20. Tomei Ti cat backs are cheap at the moment
  21. Got another 1000rpm left to make 400rwkw For the love of god remove the protective plastic on the monitor surround haha
  22. It was making 600hp on a hub dyno, we tried to tune it on a roller with about 4psi more boost but it just wheelspun at 560rwhp, Best guess would be 650hp at the wheels
  23. Sorry I couldn't remember, it's a 2.2L is it?
