  1. hey, not a bad idea.. (sorry mum)
  2. Logan rd (near the bridge) seems to be a popular defect station spot, i have seen them setup there a few time. Dunno why as its easy to avoid that area. i have never been rbt'ed since i moved to qld 14 months ago.. I could drink drive every night and get away with it (not that I would), in fact i think half of QLD does. Saw a dude today driving along with a stubby in his hand (this is actually true)
  3. mummy bought the car.. anyhow.. should have no troubles doing it. I am sure a few VL boys have done it many times before..
  4. The Valley just east of the city has a few restraunts, pubs and clubs.. Southbank also as mentioned as a couple of places and cinemas. But you'll find overall its nothing like melbourne when it comes to that and there is much less variety and quality restraunts. But what you don't get in that, with everything else you get much better! I used to live opposite UQ at West End.. its a nice area all round there.. Good for a jog, or ride along the river at any time. You'll be going to the Regatta a bit, that is just a City Cat stop or two away . Willowbank is on wednesday and Saturday nights. Shits over Calder, and from what I remember about $20 I think (not $50 for like 2 runs!). It's about an hour out from brisbane, about 20 mins from Ipswich. Check out Yatala Pies - they are great.. um, Byron has a nice Kebab place too (p.s. they're all "Kebabs" up here.. "souvlakis" are only for those in mexico).. One night if you're on the goldcoast, check out BWCP - that's one crazy place during summer. Last night there must have been 200+ import/hotted up/well think I'm good(!) cars all in one carpark. It is insane... nothing like melbourne there. It's like chapel in a carpark... Anyhow, its a great place - you'll never look back! Enjoy
  5. well there must be some conjecture.. as I have seen them both right behind the seat, and right behind the speaker holes (i.e. right back towards the glass).. so there must be some different interpretations... Either way they're being passed with both. I just copied GTR V's points (thanks again), as his got through fine. I hope mine are in the right position, as buggered if I want to do them again! I think the key is the "centre of the seating position" rather than how far back they are... because i have seen them in the two positions regularly. I don't know how you could manage to scratch the glass, but you'd have to be trying pretty hard.. and using the world's longest drill bit.
  6. yeah, i just did mine.. as close as possible to the centre of the seating position, but like you say thats nigh impossible because of the speaker holes... but it had to sit a fair way back as the speaker holes are in the way. I rivetted twice each point to hold the bracket in.. sits just behind the speaker cutouts (I had no speakers). And even if I do say so myself, I did a ****ing awesome job :-D Will post a pic next copule of days for you..
  7. there is also http://www.slidewizeimports.com/products/yahoo.html who can bid on items for you over there on your behalf.. looks like a good service, but never used it myself.
  8. well i thought on figures, the sunshine coast had some of the world unemployment figures of all S.E queensland? anyhow, depends which industry you are in I guess.
  9. It emits Quarter Pounder and Subway odors into the cabin, to keep the cops working...
  10. i replied in your wanted thread.. but you'd have to wait till next week..
  11. After just the buckle bit (which attaches to the seat and the belt buckles into).. must be ADR compliant. Should be same off R32 and R33. So if you have one, let me know ASAP.
  12. I will have one for RB20 in about a week.. $50.. (take it or leave it)
  13. r33steve: yes.. why do you need it?
  14. at random baby pictures.. better watch out chris.. sitting around with too much time on your hands - that is "When Baby's Happen"
  15. yup.. rb20's are lag lag city.. I think that is probably just what is happening there foot down.. dum dum dum.. oh here we go some power (finally).
  16. hey fellow bum!
  17. KY123 lets go!!
  18. yeah.. if it was 1km away.. you could claim he was just locking onto somebody else.. and unless there was proof in evidence? And by the time he has caught up you are pretty much going to go "what are you talking about". It won't take long before its challenged in court - seems prone to error. I am sure nothing can be that accurate with just getting a 1 second reading. It happens in VIC where a cop can just claim that sitting behind you with their perfectly calibrated speedo that you were speeding.. but its been proven that this is prone to error. A couple of VIC members challenged this in court and got reduced sentences. In a way in does really come down to your word against theirs and a good lawyer. Although theoretically if you were in front of a large truck then he is not going to be sitting behind you is he... and they still have to .. anyhow.. lol
  19. Got a pretty basic microwave.. but it does the trick.. holds a full size plate, etc. Mainly good just for reheating stuff.. Makes a tiny squeal when it first starts heating (no idea why). Doesn't do it all the time. Good for heating up your lunch up at the office or something. Asking: $50 pickup only on goldcoast.
  20. NFSU2 for xbox.. in as new condition.. $50 + post firm.
