  1. dated look interior.. girly and probably dated exterior.. good drivetrain though..
  2. What state are you in? my mate is selling a good one up here in QLD for low 30's..as good as 40k ones.

    Finally

    does it do good doughnuts?
  4. can't say i see to many skyline owners hanging their head of out their cars going 'aussie piece of crap'.. so have no idea why commo owners (usually in the old completely stuffed ones) have the often urge to..
  5. I have just put a GTR pump in mine.. so noisey at low speeds..ok at higher speeds. I think it may be due to me using a hose clamp to secure it to the bracket.. which in turn sends the vibration right up the bracket and into the boot.. making it a noisy mofo. The stock setup has a rubber base which i think helps that.. so I have to pull it out and wrap it in some rubber.. see what difference in makes. Interestingly, the GTR pump wiring already has secondary wiring for grounding built in.. on my stock pump, it drew 14.1v at idle.. I will have to check what is happening with the GTR one and see if the extra grounding is a good idea. I used to have a 910 in the old r33, and was pretty quiet.
  6. Crown and pinion gears like above.. thankfully you can just swap the correct ratio of these from another suitable diff to get a new ratio, and keep your fancy 2way centre. just pull them out of the s13 diff and get them swapped across.. shouldn't cost much.
  7. well to be honest.. Not a massive amount.. but i admit my car is definitely not a show car.. I used to use the meguires Gold shampoo.. and then that was running a bit low, so for day to day just started using some cheap Amoural Wash and Wax.. can't notice a massive diff really.
  8. yes, you use the photoshop 'dehail' filter.. i think its in there somewhere..
  9. looks good.. now can somebody tune my car for free so I can come along next time
  10. who is doing the design?
  11. I would have a check on the dimensions from bellhousing to tailshaft to make sure seeing as you have both on hand.. but everything I have read (FAST, etc) says they are the same part number, same dimensions, etc.. I was curious myself to see if they were same strength as the r33.. so I looked it up on a few different sites and found it was actually the same box, and its used in a few other nissans. RE4R01A is the box number.. If you can find any actual differences, would be interesting to post up..
  12. what? vs a standard Rb20 auto box? from what i read, they are exactly the same box..
  13. r33 is about the same as R34.. R32 is fair bit smaller inside than R33.. I've owned an R32 and R33, and been in a couple of R34
  14. the VIN is the chasis number? When it gets complied here, they will also assign another few letters in front which becomes your VIN I believe. That is what happened to mine when it was complied in australia. If its been complied, check the blue plate..
  15. the R34 sedans are a great bargain if u ask me at the moment.. even if you do have to spend a couple of $k more... to me they don't look too bad really.. same appointments, etc as the coupe - just $10k less!
  16. wagon crap would be a bit of a hassle to use.. sedan more parts can be adapted from the s13's.. fatz seems to be the master in that area, so go read some of his ramblings on the 31club site.
  17. all cops should be arrested for enforcing invalid laws methinks.. there should be more accountability with officers just referring people to QLD transport without correct legal cause.. then again it goes both ways, when they know everything that is illegal and there are more defined rules, larger fines could be levied for breaches.. and could follow cancellation of repeat defectors, etc. In VIC and NSW I think now, if you get EPA'ed or defected too many times your license itself is suspended, and big fines are levied.
  18. it'll run off the lines and not appear to come from the turbo if there is a leak up near the washer.. look, all you have up on the passenger side is either coolant feed or coolant return to the turbo.. so if it is definitely in that area, its definitely the turbo or the lines.
  19. I like it a lot.. its mean, low slung, and agressive.. I think it looks just as agressive as any other skyline, if not more so in many ways. I love all of it.. the carbon touches for the front bar are very suited too.. The black for the apillars is a bold direction as well, but suits it well. Imagine a black version.. droool
  20. you can leave them on generally to paint them, and most people do.. But if you want to remove the line you'll just have to get behind the caliper.. there is a nut there.. I think its a 10mm spanner you need. The other alternative is to unscrew it from up near the wheel arch, as that is where it goes into the metal line and up towards the master cylinder. Remember removing the caliper will require you to rebleed the lines and fit new fluid.
  21. its definitely the LHS connector.. you are right... pays to check the service manual .. Diagnostics are on page EN-384 of the RB20DET service manual if you have. If you have a multimeter you can measure whether they are in spec.. I have tried most things but mine has always been a bit over the shop.. seemed better with the pump though (lack of fuel at low revs?). I'm off to clean the *proper* temp sensor right now... see whether that clears it up totally.
  22. interesting.. I swapped the rhs one on mine a couple of months ago and no diff so I just figured that probably wasn't the problem.. maybe i should investigate too I think I may have narrowed mine to old fuel pump though.. now inplace is a GTR one, problem seems to have gone in 20 mins of testing tonight.
  23. temp sender for the ecu is the one on the right with the single wire I think.
