  1. he just let everybody else through at the end pretty much.. couldn't believe it we were literally getting into our cars to drive on anyway, and bamo.. stuck there for another 90mins or whatever. and for next weeks defect tour of brisbane.....
  2. haha.. can't believe that they want to make a movie, based on a game, which was based on a Mythical greek storytale .. lol Haven't heard much of that Halo movie they were meant to be making though  Incog Studios' God of War has been optioned as a feature film by Universal Pictures. Producers attached to the project are Charles Rowen and Alex Gartner of the Mosaic Media Group, the deal is too fresh to have attracted any writer, director, or actors as yet. The movie adaptation will likely follow a similar plot as the game, which pitted Spartan warrior Kratos against classical Greek monsters in his quest to kill Ares, the titular god of war. http://www.gamebiz.com.au/news.php?action=...display&id=7090
  3. you pu'ssed or somethin cuz? if you want possibly best driving game .. Forza on xbox.. everybody who i have showed who has been big fans of GT4 has mostly been converted... Starting with me.
  4. rice can just become a forumla thing you are right.. but if you can do things differently its sometimes ok.. I get bored of looking at your standard Skyline often.. and often get sick of the exact same rice look.. or that which makes you go "omg, thats terrible".. some rice in moderation can make the car stand out as being "yours" rather than the guy next doors. Your creativity will define how unique it is I guess, without looking bad exactly.. often a car too low, or with a bodykit too low will make it a bitch to drive on any country road, etc... You're worried about it all the time. If you're going to drive in the city and you drive carefully, you might get away with it. But when you are putting over speed bumps 2km/hr because of scrape issues, then I think its just a bit stupid. If you drive hard, and don't have millions of dollars, rice can be expensive.. I actually sold my last skyline as it had too much rice, not enough power and handling. The stress of worying about bodykits, and spending thousands of respray costs, scraping this and that, getting it trashed or keyed, etc in the end was too much. My current car I care much less about, and I am happier for it
  5. the K&N doesn't need oiling that often.. I hate doing it anyhow, as for the first little bit, it can sometimes drip on the AFM, and make it go silly. Just use it sparingly. I'd only go a pod if you loved the noise.
  6. If you don't know QLD at all.. it will take you a while to find out what are the decent areas, what they are like, etc. I've been here about 18 months so far, and still finding out bits and pieces about the place. Thats the great thing about moving states though! soon as you are dead bored of a place, everything is like new again. Hope you enjoy it. Took me 3 months to find work, as I got sick of applying for work from Melbourne, but once I found it - it wasn't too hard to get into things, get to know business contacts up here, etc. QLD is very friendly place, compared to Melb I reckon! Nerang isn't too bad.. bit of a leefy area, quite near the mountains. If you like the goldcoast, and want things a little more laid back its a good place. Its still 15 mins drive to everywhere as well.. or 50mins drive back to Brisbane city. There are a few places down here that might take you on if you have had experience I am sure. The goldcoast definitely is a big area for that sort of thing, lots of rice here.

    I lost my job!

Brisbane..QLD has best growth in the country by a mile.. therefore best place to setup a new business Bit funny how was so sudden though!
  8. are you a terrorist?
  9. notice how carefully he sneaks in "itsnicebutlockyourstuffinsideandbecarefulgoingoutsideatnightbecauseitsreallycraz inrealityandscaryatnight"
  10. location: QLD .. where abouts (roughly). How much for diff?
  11. Mine is on 107,000km .. and 15 years old .. still going strong .. RB20det though.
  12. dont state teh obvious
  13. Scorptech was pretty cheap.. still is.. www.scorptech.com.au p.s. nerd
  14. What about side windows? can you get them from normal windscreens places. $265 for a genuine front windscreen seems cheap. Are the sides similar?
  15. have one.. R33 stocko. $40 inc post.. or seeing as you are in QLD, if you are near the goldcoast anytime soon, welcome to pick it up
  16. without a dyno chart, its a little hard to compare.. Whilst you can see you beat this and beat that, its all just heresay until you have something to back it up, be it a timeslip or a dyno chart to indicate how it might fair against other cars.
  17. case in point... on RHS is my old stock R33 cap.. (painted by me ricer red, ignore that). on the LHS is your generic $10 one from any parts place now on my 32. Note the thicker top pressure seal, and how the rubber comes over the top of the cap. I am not sure whether the stock GTR one is anything the same, but its not hard to improve on the standard design.. Anybody have a picture of a Greddy/Apexi/probably overpriced ricer one to compare?
  18. Well I have noticed a big difference going from a shagged cap to a decent one.. it can make what seems like an inefficient radiator perfectly fine. The usual brassy coloured ones you seem to find in australia seems to pretty reasonable quality though.. I guess because the big cars in Australia are designed to run under high outback heat..
  19. happy birthday in advance erin! Have fun up north too.
  20. So does this mean we're "unaustralian" and therefore terrorists? Anyhow, I think variety is good - even if I personally would never buy a Holden. It was something different, and something unique for those that wanted to spend the money on that sort of thing. I always found them more interesting than your standard 4 doors. Ford and Holden will always be torn between offering some that can fit a full family of 5, and trying to make sporty models off the same design. Its not that easy to do. I am sure if they had the money and large enough market (not australia) to build a slightly smaller sporty car (torana maybe ), and not having to rely on simple v8 power due to the weight, they'd have something very fast.
  21. should have just continued licencing the rb design after the VL.. they would have got a well powered and reliable DOHC 150kw n/a engine (rb25de) some 10 years before they finally could get around to engineering their own. Then again, in the public eye only cubes could give power .. even 3L was too small for joe public's mind Wonder what figures an RB36DE would have put out? lot more than 175kw i am sure..
  22. FPR install looks great Col. I'm a bit worried about having no dust boots either on mine (as mine were like little calamari rings too).. even if they say 'not needed' on the box. They can't cost too much for a bit of insurance.
  23. I don't think the R32 really even needs too much more than about 17" rims to look good, as long as you have lowered it a bit (2-3cm), it fills the guards out nicely. leave the 18's, 19's and more expensive tyre costs to the R33/R34 boys...
  24. your next step maybe should be porting of the head, and some cams ~$2k or so. Signs point to that turbo not being a full '650hp' turbo - but hey.. why bother with internals when you can squeeze a bit more out, and keep going until you have reason to bother with internals. You might get another 10-30rwkw (~235rwkw), which might be the real level of that turbo. Thats a good amount of power from a RB20det.
  25. yes.. the standard kings lows will drop the car about 3cm in height. Its probably not enough for the fullsik low look (which requires about 5-7cm), but if you want the car to handle (and also not chew tyres) that shouldn't be your primary concern.
