I might be wrong... but as far an nissan engines go... the power output for the auto's is always 5kw less than that of manuals. if the manuals are 187 kw... the auto's are 182 kw, but I've also found some sites that say the power of the RB25DET is 185... makingth auto 180 kw!

yes... all GTSt's... R32 and R33 are legal to drive!!! the R34 isn't cos it's got the NEO 206kw engine!! R32 and R33 are both fine!... Gtst... NOT GTR!

I go to knox on a weekly basis with my g/f... we cruise around the carpark and pump-the-doofs (to annoy the locals)... plus I have an aftermarket exhaust = loud (cop-bait)! I've never had any problems at knox... but there was once when cops pulled up behind me after i found a park and we just walked into the shops and replied 'no' when they asked if it was my car (they did see me get out on it). They are just tight! they can go and eat-a-d!ck... they piss me off... wait 'til I get my GTR... compelte with 3ltr kit and NOS... not even the air-wing will beable to stop me! *grins from ear-to-ear* *devilish laugh*

A mate of mine from these forums (won't mention his name) went to knox on friday night (18/7/2003) and was pulled over by the cops FOR NO APPARENT REASON! He was flashed and pulled over and ask to pop the bonnet... he is driving a stock, series 2 R33 GTS25t (because of the new rules) and has been driving it for only about a month! This was his first time he had been pulled over and was told in no uncertain manner that the power-to-weight ratio for P platers is 128kw/t... and his books showed that this car was 132.77 kw/t! As a result he was told to garage the car for 12 months until he gets off his P's... or sell it! The cop then asked... what made you think you're allow to drive this car... my mate replied (I won't tell you exactly what was said... but it wasn't anything bad). Upon hearding this the cop told him... 'look mate, you shouldn't stick your neck out. we'll get you'! The cop then said 'if [my mate] dont sell it, then next time [he'll] get a summons and go to court and lose [his] license'! My mate was then issued with a $105 fine and the other person he was with was told to drive the car (fully licensed)! What you people think on this matter??? He did nothing wrong... other than look for a parking spot, and I know there are other out there that drive R33 GTS25t's and some in R34 GTt's on P's... what should we do? I know I'm not going to give the cops an easy time if they try and pin anything like that on me! I've been pulled over 5-6 times and had my fair sahre of run-ins with the cops... but as of yet, no fine... nothing! To top this all off he opened the mail earlier that day and had recieved a $200 fine and lost 3 dem. points for speeding... AREN'T PEOPLE MEANT TO LOOK FORWARD TO FRIDAYS???

- FOR THOSE WANTING AN UPDATE Got front/dump-pipe for exhaust, now will have 3 inch turbo-back exhaust... got new front-strut brace and brake master-cycler support. Waiting on EBC Green-Stuff Brake Pads - should come in today or tomorrow, and waiting on front speakers. Work will start on the car in the next1-2 weeks (when I find a spare weekend). The car is just about to crack the 80,000km mark, nothing else has changed!

possibly better flow characteristics after a decade of R&D, other than that I wouldn't really know. They should be an easy swap-over (don't think the engine has changed much), but unless there is something wrong with your R32 GTR head, I don't think the extra cost is going to be worth the marginal gain (if any) you'll get!

R32 GTR = YES R33 GTR = NO, need at least 17's R34 GTR = NO, need at least 18's (I think... 17's might go, but not too sure) Hope this helps

I've been stopped 5 times in the last 4 months for driving a skyline, before that I drove an early 90's 4x4 and an early 80's corona with not 1 straight panel!!! Both in the 4x4 and the corona together I only got pulled over once! This is f**kING BS preying on ppl that like nice cars, what? bcoz they cost a bit more than the commonwhore, we can afford to pay their fines??? F THAT! I was stopped after pulling out of a MACCAS - I got out of the car and ate my food (is maccas food?) as he gave me some lecture about be careful in a high-perform vehic! I fined my dinner infront of him... g/f laughing in the passenger seat, and got back in the car... only to be pulled over by the same cop for *reckless driving* (I did a skid *only a little one *) as I took off! I told him that I never thought on this car as a high-perform vehic 'til he said something and it got away from me in the wet! Also told him that he had unnerved me as I'm only a young driver and don't want to anything wrong by the law! he let me go free (they're not all D!CKS), but the second he turns off I testing the integrity of the basic suspension/LSD package of the 'line! I really do hate cops! They are soo bias when it comes to whom they pull over and when! and don't get started on revenue-raising!!! Q: What the color of a 2cent piece?

I helped a mate respray his car... does your garage smell nice!!! we did it in a sealed garage, and I was the gump that cleaned out the gun... those Hydro-carbons are GOOD! NOT! had a headache for the next 4 days!!! looks sweet *ponders doing it to my car*, MUST post pics of interior shots!

the carbon-type cleaner and graphite stuff are good çoz they weigh less and won't deminish your power-to-weight ratio! and the petrolium jelly will make your car more areodanamic and go faster! Put it all on... that's all the mods you need! for those of you that think I'm a retard... I'm special OK, SPECIAL! and yes... I'm just being a tool!

did mine with a mates help (thanks BOZZ)! only cost me to the timing belt! Take out radiator and fan, cam covers (harmonic balancer pulley helps!!!) rest to 0deg. and change belts... takes a few hours... but saves $480!

Both R32 and R33 GTS(25)t's were produced in 1993... the R32 GTR and Vspec were produced up to 1994, the R33 GTRs started in 1995. R33 Series I/Series II change was around 1995/1996 and R34 introduced in 1999! Hope this helps
