  1. Good idea to get a trickle charger and have those special fittings attached to the terminals. That way you can hook it up and not worry about it. Keeps things alive and wont over charge. I'd also fire it up once a fortnight. Lubricate etc....
  2. A good job. There is satisfaction in knowing it's clean and rust free. I'd be guessing but not many care enough to do this. Very well kept GTR
  3. Check this thread and then decide. A lot of dedication and money http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/405899-75-c110-gtr-build/
  4. The only issue will be larger objects (leaves, small branches etc..). Your right - it is just like any gutter and water run off. Ps. good photos
  5. Wow. That GTiR looks great. good price for the condition and rare colour.. Remember a worked gold one of these in Canberra - Quick as ! GLWS. Shouldn't last long.
  6. It is a nice car in it's own right. The beauty is in the eye of the seller and buyer. no doubt a fortune spent. Appreciate it for what it is. Personally I don't like the shape of the 33 skyline. Be it GTS, T, 4 or an R. But that's me. different strokes for different folks Edit: Although I don't like seeing cars badged what they aren't
  7. Mii11x <- have to agree it's in the prep work to make it look the goods wet/dry sand, undercoat and lightly spraying repetitively the final coat. (as per instructions) To often we go too thicker coats and too close to the object and that spoils the job. I used a satin black and it came up great.
  8. It can be worrying when you first see that they connect to nothing with a bolt in the end. Don't worry. You may also find plugs not connected, again don't panic. These hoses have been blocked off on purpose. Likely by a mechanic and with a good reason. Some you find wont have bolts and act as breathers. Hopefully some one can name them for your from the pics. Top pic appears on the ABS sides so I don't see how that can relate to the OEM bovs. Charcoal cannisters etc... are normally blocked off. You may also find a small number of hoses if you look for them on the plenum side. near the fuse box. It's good to find the source and then label them with white pen. what they are for. (Eg: Diff or sump) Especially if the engine's been built and/or aftermarket bolt ons. Generally just needs the end to be raised pointing up to let gravity work.
  9. Being new it will be unpainted plastic. (Spose it will still be a colour tho)
  10. I thought so - it's been a while. Maybe I did but didn't need to.
  11. True - would like to fang the bejubus out of it. Access to the papers on 2july. Don't expect cashed up buyer to wait tho On headaches stressing out causes mine. Migranes one or twice a year are extremely painful
  12. Well I have a headache now. Tell you why. Son said see if you can sell my Evo while I'm in the U.S. Signed papers etc... A genuine guy from Sydney wanted to buy the Evo, all cashed up and on his way down with a mate to Pick-up this eve. The shit part. Son's taken his paper work for the Evo incl rego papers to his work I'd say. (some young tyre kicker was interested). Rego Paper work is obviously still at his work. Because I've turned the whole farkin house and his car over for the last hour looking for them. me kids......make it hard So I've had to call the buyer back and let him know. He'd just reached that Pheasants nest stop. Soo embarrassed and angry right now. On top of that I spent a lot of today making it shine
  13. Edit: Never mind both links to GTR front bars
  14. Possibly. Best to take it to a tuner - soon. Get them to give it once over as well as check ECU. Your right to be a little nervous when sellers say stuff like that. I'm paranoid - I trust no one !
  15. Thanks - now that number rings a bell Sorry I couldn't help yesterday. Relocated mine to the boot and went something else with a bit more CCA than the NS40ZL. Did you find it on one of the popular battery sites ?
  16. Ps. If you happen to loose or break one of the fixings O'briens will have some Mine were easy and never looked like breaking. When Obriens came around to put my new OEM windscreen in he was surprised that I hadn't broken or lossed any. That's why I mentioned being careful
  17. It's very easy. Your on the right track. Remove the wiper arms first. With the clips they're automotive fixings. Be careful when removing. If I remember correctly it's a half turn and lift. Remove the rubber strip at the base. There will be "T" pieces holding it on. Just stretch one way and lift off. It's likely going to be gungy under there . Mine was dried up mould but cleaned up easy and looks great.
  18. Had a spate out my way a few months back. First my girls after a sleep over and a week or so later my rear plate. Was only bout an hour before I discovered it missing and reported to both local servos and cops. Police called the following day saying they had it. Wouldn't say if they caught the culprits. Got different plates anyway and put those special number plate screws in.
  19. PM's and voice mails returned Yes will assist in shipping to W.A, if serious. Inspections welcomed on weekends for those closer to Canberra. Additional pics available on request. Stock and Volk rims included in asking price now.
  20. I associate ticking to a bomb .... Ticking in mine turned out both times to be big end bearing - just sayin' BTW: Departure posted and by the looks of it departed !
  21. used both and your right they do need re-doing. Sometimes they become patchy because the wind deflector has been removed damaging the finish. - double sided tape can ruin the finish or it could just be rub from the wind deflector. If it's never had a wind deflector on it should be fine with a clean.
