  1. sometimes when i have my car in N, then i shift into D ready to go forward, i press the accel and the car just doesnt move for a 3-4 seconds. By this time the revs are up as well and i get a chirpy launch. hahah, my auto... love it
  2. Well, I understand you want this information, but you need to understand the difference between a group buy and a sales thread. Here, SK is not making any money, he is simply supplying a product at a discounted price to multiple people at once. Its assumed that people that get involved in group buys know what they are buying and therefore just find it at a better price being in a group (economies of scale purchasing). On the other hand, in a sales thread, the sales person is trying to sell the product. Therefore he needs to know all the information about the product etc to actually sell it to the customer. As above, call GCG or have a look on their website www.gcg.com.au. Specifically, here http://www.gcg.com.au/Catalogue_Menus/Upgr...pgrade_gtst.htm
  3. Exactly RHiSC, just give GCG a call. I am more than happy with my GCG and i personally know 4 others (friends, not just forum buddies) that are using these turbos are they are great.
  4. sif brad, you are a commo bogan through and through! you dont own a stagea, you've just been taking pictures of your neighbours build and claiming it your own! i am on to you!!
  5. My auto has its good days and bad days. Some days, it shifts soo quick i get a slight chirp on gear changes. Some days, it shifts so slow on gear changes that I get have this thing where if i change from 2->d, the revs jump about 500rpm while keeping the same gear, then i hit the rev limiter while in D, then it changes. On another note, its my 2->3 gear changes which are worst. Ive gotten about 1-1.5 full seconds of slip between changes....then the next morning its just been fine? As above, check ATF
  6. stageas are getting too cheap
  7. as in, its too cheap for that km's
  8. Ill take one too Probably an M Will test fit one tonight then make the transfer tomorrow once ive got it worked out
  9. thats it mate, i just enjoy the drive these days and just accept the cost. Its completely worth it. FFS 15L isnt THAT bad really. My mates dad's 550 maranello has a 110L tank and drinks 2 of those a week when it was a street car (work and back + some fun)
  10. hahahah, Pay peanuts you get monkeys. I like that In the end, bargains are bargains for a reason, they will have something wrong but meh, could be worth it.

  13. You wouldnt have spotted my car around unless it was last night when i drove around my industrial area with no exhaust on (off the front pipe) around 7pm wow it comes on boost fast otherwise, my cars been locked up since sunday night and is very very far from roadworthy
  14. yes, the whiteline parts will always be available, its just the shocks that come/go
  15. It is not the AFM maxing out but its the AFM registering an AF that is too high for a specific rpm/load. THis is based on the std tune which is given. What a DFA/SAFC does is "bends" the AFM voltage to trick the ecu in thinking there is a lower air flow than there is (this is OK as the std mapping runs rich anyway). So there is a certain % gain you can have with an AFM bender. Basically, these electronic units are variable resistors with multiple load points
  16. skip 2 pages back, same as the red one.
  17. beastian - correct flysly - yes, afm voltage bender like a dfa/safc is fine for this
  18. at least the media just ID'ed it as "a car"
  19. this is going to sound disrespectful but I dont see any pedestrian crossing in the above photo behind the car.... i used to jump the gates on the train, ride it for free. Then i got smacked with a $200 fine and these days, i just buy the tickets. i feel for the families, but i just hope people dont jump to the conclusion that it was the drivers fault.
  20. i wish i got the heated mirrors, they would make my life a LOT easier (i park in the street) you dont really need them if you park in a garage
  21. "Chris is as honest as the day is long" So he is honest for the first 24h then after that he is not hahah Just playing. Great kid, good head on his shoulders
  22. i hit R&R at about 15psi or so you running the stock turbo over 10psi?
  23. ill speak with both you an ian in the next few days. cheers
  24. i dont think anything over 3.5 inchs is really needed. I think 5 inchs is too big.
  25. Ok. Go stand on the passenger side of your car, facing the other side of the car. Look down Its under the turbo, but above the sump near to where the gearbox attaches to the engine. Probably best seen with the dump/front pipe off, or at least with the car on a hoist. Good luck.
