  1. just for curiosity, where did you get the english stagea harness ecu plug pin outs(or ins)?
  2. weight difference between 4wd and 2wd is commonly about 180kg on skylines. brendan, awd has probably saved my life a few times yes, but it could have also contributed to nearly killing me a few times too. Speak to you on MSN about what i mean. in the grand scheme of things, it depends on the kind of person you are i think. I prefer to have the need to improve my skill so that when i need to use my skills (on the limit), they are there for the use. Ive said it before, if i was to every buy my child a turbo car as a first car, id definatly consider a stagea or GTS4 style car. The stagea was a good first car to me.
  3. Ah yes, i forgot about the fact that Stageas dont have a direct plug and play PFC.
  4. To be fair though, 99% of the guys that give decisive opinions here are in no place to give them, as most of us have only driven AWD stags. In the grand scheme of things, I think the RWD platform would be more fun for me (personally) due to the oversteer capabilities and yes, a little less weight in general could help.
  5. if only the grill fit...
  6. There is 100% nothing to installing a PFC that is special. Its just that the base tune that comes with it isnt the best. Heaps of people just put the PFC's in at home then drive easly to workshops to get them tuned. I can see why they say "install and tune though" because really the install is nothing more than 3 bolts and 2 clips worth of work and it just makes sense to make it an entire package. Must let us all know how your PFC install goes.
  7. link me
  8. Japs tend to use several tuning units but i think the most popular by far are the HKS F-Con V and Apexi PFC. There are no good tuners for F-Cons in AUS so PFC's are the go really. PFC's are full ECU replacement units, they are not piggy backs. You unplug the stock ecu, plug in the PFC, tune it and away you go. If you have a manual car, PFC's are just so easy to use, large availability of tuners and relativly cheap in the grand scheme of things. Add to that the Sydneykid seal of approval and the use of a PFC by Brad in his spastic Rb26 Stag and that should be enough to seal the deal
  9. You have a std wing already dont you?
  10. Its just because of the daisy chain of supply that exists in the retail market. 7/11 is only able to sell 1 coke because they have invested in already having bought 10 and keep the other 9 in stock. I sell gazebos. I cant ask my man in China for just 1, he says you have to buy 30 cubic meters, minimum order. I think the main reason he cant supply just one kit is because he doesnt have the capital to invest into buying the MO (minimum order) of kits and keeping them in stock. Fair enough, he doesnt seem to be that large yet. Keeping things in stock is a big risk for businesses as storage isnt free. There is a huge overstocking problem in the retail market and that is why you always see "clearance sales". When you are a small business, you just can afford to end up in this situation. So give him a break, he is trying his best to make everyone (everyone in the daisy chain, including his supplier) happy. Im happy at least he didnt turn out like 50% of the people i know drug f**ked and working at KFC for $6/hr.
  11. mild/stainless dont produce perforance gains based just on material, only longevity. However, it will take a long time for rust to go through a 1mm pipe.... as you have a highflow, you cannot use the stainless on anyway, you need a split dump/front pipe with a splitter in it, not the pipe extension.
  12. I highly doubt that it has to be an S1 as the hatch looks identical. Though, I am not sure if S2's DIDNT come with spoilers
  13. Is there anyone in Melbourne that has an S1 without a spoiler that could help in test fitting. My car is no longer available for test fitting as it is spending some time at my panel beaters place making love with all the other wrecks
  14. i like the attitude cops have started taking a noble maccas. they just come and sit there, dont do anything, but just sit there and talk to everyone. they see people doing shit, but they dont pull anyone over more just a deterent than a threat. They are good guys for chats as i said, i think its extreme for people to get done and their cars taken. i could more understand people having to sell their cars, but thats like a 20,000+$ fine which is really quite a bit extreme. hell, if you are in a gtr, it could be 100,000+$ the guy that done for clicks in the handbrake was a mate in an s13. i also know someone who got done for "too much play in the steering wheel when the car was off" aka, about 15 degrees move before you had to use force to turn the wheels.
  15. The dump pipes? Catco make those dump pipes? As far as i knew, BATMBL has them manufactured locally??
  16. On another note, someone explain to me how you can get defected for "not enough clicks in the handbrake" when the more clicks you have in the handbrake the less pad you have on the handbrake pads?? how about my car, it doesnt even have clicks on the foot handbrake? haha, id probably get done for not having a hand handbrake....f**kers
  17. Look, these laws are too much power. END OF STORY. Stereotypes exist, get over it. Like I said in my reply in the Today Tonight thread, more people in Australia commit suicide per year than the road toll. Its almost something like double. Of the road toll, i bet 95% of them are people who are drunk drivers (not car important), truckies or pedestrians who walk across princess hwy or something.
  18. yes, it is and its not shafts, its shaft. The one that connects the front diff with the transfer case. Its 4 14mm bolts, that is all
  19. That catco $440 one from BOSimporting.com.au (the cat pictured above) Yes, that dump is very nice. I am sooo tempted to cut and weld the bottom of it off to make a screamer pipe. Its perfect for a screamer pipe... but mm, na
  20. EGA - that cat/dump is the same as mine. It is made by BTMBL or least is IDENTICAL to the one that he made me. I wouldnt be surprized if he supplied UAS. On another note, my cats detached from its case (metal honey comb moves around)
  21. Yep, Terminal is right. The A + B pillar is a single plastic peice. Then the C + rest of the back of the car is a single peice of plastic. This makes removing all the plastics difficult as dogs balls.
  22. He does not know, its tucked up into the dash. Tried to ask that a year ago
  23. Get a regular PFC from the group buy in the GB section here on SAU for $950 delivered. I presume the S would take the R34 GTT PFC without issues. I think the 260RS's take R33 GTR PFC's
  24. 350RX FOUR AXIX S - manual Examples - http://www.carsensor.net/cgi-bin/CS/CSFBU0...SHOP=050039001E http://www.carsensor.net/cgi-bin/CS/CSFBU0...SHOP=030037002M http://www.carsensor.net/cgi-bin/CS/CSFBU0...SHOP=030099001M But they are all 3.5L N/A, but yes, turbo kit that sucker with something from APS here and it will ownz a lot of stuff!
  25. I put mine where the stock ones came. I did not have stock ones come with the car, so i drilled holes and put there in there. To remove that A pillar part, you need to do the following (easiest this way) - Remove front seats - Remove door sills/kick panels - Remove the covers for the seatbelt things - Remove A pillar thing Trust me when I say, this is NOTHING compared to removing the rear bar! Just a quick run down of the rear bar - Remove boot carpet - Remove holders/plastic caps etc - Remove plastic from sides - Remove wall carpet - Remove rear bar That takes about 2h, compared to the A pillar ~30 minutes. In my system, I LOVE the tweeters placed where they are. My Hertz HSK165's are splits, with woofers in the doors and tweeters on the A Pilar. As there is no midrange speaker, the balance is made via tuning the EQ. Hertz does actually stock midrange speakers, but not on the RS4. If you want a comment on my sound systems pumpage, I honestly dont think it could sound any better than the way it is, ask Ian, aka humble.
