  1. bang for buck on a 260rs - exhaust - new turbos - power fc That will cost about $5,000 and twill be a quick car. BOV's do nothing to performance
  2. We are all waiting on the real pinouts, about 20 of us have bought manuals from funkymonkey, but he's been slow to deliver. Should be able to let everyone know in about 2 weeks, maybe more iono
  3. I like using the one on the driver side. Jack the car up and pull the inner gaurd back, then push a coat hanger through into the car then pull the wires through. Might add this isnt a very big hole, alarm wires + stereo power wire and mines pretty full. The one under the ABS unit has my boost gauge wires in it.... i cant get the grommet back on.
  4. Updated the list with all those people that contacted me through PM or otherwise to let me know they were interested. Cmon lets get more names! Dont fool yourself, your tranny will overheat just as much in winter as in summer!
  5. to put it simply - when they feel like it. So far, Ive not found any special combo. The closest ive found is on the free way, at about 100km/h, keep in below 10 vac and it will lock up. Otherwise....nothing else really.
  6. On another note, the other night while driving about 450km of mixed hard driving, cruising at near the speed limiter (~160 most of the time) and city/town, from 68L I got 470km (I took a jerry can with 15L with me) So somewhere around under 15L/100. I was quite impressed as there was LOTS of time spent at 5000rpm+
  7. My number is 0439 909 610....call me
  8. Id be able to help, i have tuesdays off uni. On another note, i have no picture of what i did, but here is what i said i was going to do and did.
  9. Uhh, as long as the filter is there, filtering, i dont see any issues with it.
  10. My first tank was boost controller tuning... so i went through pretty much the same mate.
  11. My rear wheel bearings are screwed too Let me know what you do. Our wheel bearings are the same as R33/R34's so FAST tells me. Let me know what they cost you, i need a set too (mine crack almost every low speed corner)
  12. Urm.... My speed limiter is about the same location as my 3rd gear rev limiter.
  13. Tried using some washers to raise it up?
  14. Ive still got a stock ECU and i can get 11L/100 on the freeway. Not sure whats happend as when i first got the car, i couldnt do better then 14L/100 freeway and 17L city. Now, i get 11L highway and 15L city....interested to get the ITC and DFA tuned
  15. Well, we dont have Hicas, so we should 99% be fine i guess. Ill search for that wire today when i get some free time.
  16. It feels... like a speed limiter...lol Its not like a rev limiter, think of when you are playing Gran Turismo and your car is maxing out at like 400km/h and its like, a slow increase in revs, then a drop, then a rise, then a drop. Quite a slow process. Its not very harsh either.
  17. Using an 040 in my car. Its was $230 delivered + $60 to fit it. Seems to do the job pretty well. The stagea tank is made in such a way that the pump sucks all the way until my little light comes on no worries. can hear a buzz outside the car, nothing at all inside.
  18. Rebuilt stocko. Not sure when i hit FB as i am normally looking at the road, but its somewhere around 3200 i beleive.
  19. A touch hard, but f**k do they handle in twisty stuff! I use castrol GTX3 at the moment, but my next change will be with Synthetic R, it might be 3 times the price, but i do give it a pretty hard life, might as well spend that extra $10 a month and give her the best, so i can treat her like i do
  20. Yeh, I was cruising on the speed limiter for about half an our the other day. Its really annoying, because i know i could have made even better time Id be interested to know how to do this too. I know there is a speed cut defender, but it must be a lot more simple than that.
  21. Yes, the rear antenna has a power wire. Its the yellow/black stripped wire that is taped to the antenna wire. Attach this to the power wire.
  22. None mate Get on the phone and call NIZMO pty ltd in QLD, IAMSHE in QLD and there is a shop in Perth that does them. Kamikaze motors are your best bet in Melbourne, but they dont have compliance JUST yet, as far as i know.
  23. vrfour on this forum imports, done stageas before I dont think the nismo one will turn up, ive never seen one for sale as of yet. In the end, the Nismo one has 260kw at the engine. If you buy a 260RS and sink 5k into it, you can easily have over 260kw, at the wheels. This was demonstrated by SK in another thread. Sink 10k into it and you have have a 300awkw+ beast.
  24. If i am driving on the road i dont feel this at all, but if i am in winding roads, i tend to find that when my brakes heat up a bit and are under some load if i am slowing down, then let off quickly then back on right away, it slows down faster. I've put it down to the fact that i dont have slotted rotors and the gasses build up and releasing for that 0.1s gets rid of it all?
  25. Value for money an air-air cooling will be best. I mean, youll get a bit less response, but if you can feel it when driving, you are not driving hard enough, or high enough in the rev range. Went for a drive last night and after stopping to let everything cool down, my GTR cooler was hot to touch on one side and very cold on the other. I mean, how much more cooling could you possibly want. To the best of my knowledge, apart from times when air-air's dont fit, the use of a air-water-air cooler is for drag racing when you want to have instant cold intake temps off the line. Mate, if you want to go all out, get a big box of dry ice, run about a metre of pipe through that box, and theres your cooler. Air will be ice cold when it exists.
