  3. So, guys, I am seriously thinking to sell my car. I will be taking the R34 GTT route most likely, given that when I call vicroads tomorrow it isnt a P plate illegal car. I know that I wont recoup 50% of the cash I spent on my car, but just want to get an idea of what people may be interested in buying off me. The things that I would have to part with would be - Hertz stereo HSK-165 splits front, HCK-165 2 way splits rears and Audison 4 channel amp (Id need to trade interior parts as Ive mounted the tweeters in the A-Pillars). Was ~1300 for the gear+serveral hours labour by me. Consider cash adjustment with a trade for stock system (id remove like $100 from the price for the stock speakers). Would be asking about 800 bucks for the lot. Hertz/Audison is some of the best stuff on the market - Fujitsubo Legalis R catback, full SS, was $1200 new, in VGC no scratches etc, would ask around $700 - GTR FMIC + LEGAL custom made STAINLES STEEL piping to avoid cutting the batt tray. I would want to trade for a non-trimmed front bar support and front spoiler lower lip (which needs trimming any way). Was $1100 to fit and custom make pipes, $300 for the cooler. Id ask $900 including the trades. - Full SK suspension kit with ~10,000km on it. Shocks, Springs, Swaybars, Castor rods (if swapped) and Camber arms (If swapped). Id be after 60% whatever SK asks for the stuff new. Mostly city driving too, so they are basically new. Ill install with you too if in Melbourne. - 2T towbar MAY be sold, probably not though. Would ask around $400 + trade of rear bar (Mine is cut for a towbar at the moment) Thats about it. Let me know, as this could quite effect if I change or not. Before you all jump out at me why I am selling. Well, this car is TOO good for me at this point in my life. Also since I bought the car, the business has grown beyond only filling my car up so we have a contract driver now. I need something a little more sporty for now but I gaurentee you all that I WILL be rejoining the stagea crew later in life. These cars are BRILIANT. I'd keep posting in this forum and I'd keep coming to the events as everyone here is a great person. Thanks, Alex

  5. Does the intercooler pipe go through the chassis or are they no issues with engineering?
  6. On saturday morning i changed my sparkies. Ive done it before its a pretty standard proceedure. Had BCPR7ES's before, put in 4 BCPR7ES's and two BCPR7ES-11 regapped at 0.8mm. So, they were all at 0.8mm. Car felt a lot better on power, went out that night, lots of revving etc, car was great. At the same time i also cleaned the coilpacks with some contact cleaner. So sunday night the car started to develop a stutter. It is not R&R. It is not a misfire, rather it is as the car is being shuffled (like a DJ does a record) while still accelerating. The reason that i even mentioned the spark plugs is that this is the only thing thats changed in the last few days.

  8. I have a towbar yes, supposedly rated at 2T but i havnt towed anything over a 500kg 6x4 trailer. Was very good
  9. it doesnt matter mate, unless you are going to drag someone up to 170km/h+ overdrive it a 4th gear only selectable when already in 3rd via en electric solenoid.
  10. mate, just relax a bit. The car in stock form will be nice enough for a while, enjoy it while it lasts. If you start with a modded car you will have nothing to work towards, if you know what i mean. R33 GTR front pipes and dumps fit, not sure what cat and im pretty sure a RB25 catback fits. What other cars have you owned, out of curiosity?

  15. i have mine come on every now and then, when it does, i just turn the car off and on. I also had it come on once because i didnt put the plug back right into the ecu and one end was being held up. also, i got it when i disconnected the vac line on the bov for some flutter, car stalled and then the 4wd light would come on every now and then along with the car driving like poo. It went away after a while, guess the ECU taught itself.
  16. what boost controller? I was getting a stuttering issue when i had my boost controller tuned un-well. It was when the thing was switching between load points changing my boost within 100rpm, so it was stuttering.

  23. see, yes, it would be better to get a 260rs, but 1st, when we bought our cars 260rs's were still well above 40k, and, there is a big difference from saving up 20k to buy a car now that we need it, compared to saving up 40k. If i had bought a 260rs, i wouldnt be able to afford to mod it for at least 2 years. At least with a RB25, ill spend less money on it and it will be just as quick.
  24. there is no power limiter in the car. there is only a speed limiter. the power limit was a gentlemens agreement between the major japanese manufacturers, where supras/GTR's all had "206kw" but in reality had more new 230kw.
