  1. so are there any other places you can reccomend to tune a microtech on an RB20 in sydney? Reasonably priced too (can't get it done yet as i just bloody forked out $1100 for work on the car including a full dyno tune )
  2. only if u come to the cruise kel lol as for supercruise, noone knows of anything yet, so looks like it aint on this year. Gonna make it official now so yea =]
  3. Not sure of his reputation with microtechs and RB's, it isn't a very common combination. Currently tuned by Greg at Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee (Sydney). THINKING about going to Thornleigh Cylinder Heads (huge reputation, but pricey) or UAS. Would getting rid of the cat give any worth-while gains though? My voltage sits on around 9.9 i think(or 12.1, i really can't remember). Not sure about the air temp compensation, i'd like to look into it though as i want to explore every single possibility to extract more power out of this, long term project, hoping to crack 300+ rwkw from RB20/24(maybe). The biggest downside at the moment is that i got the car with the microtech already in it, so i can only guess what the previous tune was, and what it has and hasn't got, so in a way, im starting from scratch, well, a more painful process.
  4. geez, ONLY 18 psi :| i think next step/s for me is/are EBC, splitfire coilpacks, then major headwork =]
  5. mate it aint that bad, the road that is.
  6. chartered mate, takes all the guess work out of everything and everything is all organised for you. All you have to do is pay and have a fun day
  7. Is there anything happening on Australia Day? If not, does anyone want to get together for a cruise or something? Say, syd to wollongong, via the nasho and the new seacliff bridge (or what ever it's called) say meet at like 10:30am on waratah street in kirrawee and then a final meetup at loftus rovers soccer field (on the highway before the turnoff to nasho)? Anyone keen?
  8. lol beast mate, all you need on that is some big motors
  9. on mine? Standard 32 GT-R turbos i think, suppose i could take a sticky beak if you want. Any suggestions on what to do next to get best gains and smooth out the power curve?
  10. sorry to hear man, i did the same thing with my old 31, wrote it off in a few weeks, lol. Atleast you and everyone else is ok. As for cars, just go third party fire and theft, i ended up getting a much much quicker and more expensive R31, still have it after don't know how long but longer than before, not a scratch (except for your usual crap with weather and gravel), and im not paying like $3500 a year to get it insured, and they know i wrote my previous car off.
  11. so do you want to post it up in events section security? and get something sorted? you've got everyone in here pretty much so yea
  12. lol, sproosy, posting again i see Yea i'd love to get some help to extract every single extra kw out of this thing, as it seems to be, well, under powered, any help/ideas/places to go for help? roy?
  13. to get flutter
  14. get fked, no way they are factory, or are they?
  15. im in
  16. isn't the 16th a working day? :S im lost. If it aint, i might come along

    Autosalon

yea i just been here and there mate, haven't seen you around much either As for the car, just came out of the workshop, fixing a heater hose, which caused major overheating. High pressure hose power steering leak, screwed sump plug, fitted bigger injectors, upped the boost and dyno tuned the microtech. Ran 182rwkw on the autosport engineering dyno @ 13psi, peak power at 7000rpm What bout u man? or u keep her the same? nice lookin 33 i must say

    Autosalon

everything is custom mate, no kits for the 31, for anything really (or are hard to come by and expensive) As for autosalon, i wouldn't mind goin, just gotta fix up some paint tho, it aint 100% show grade but hey, it's different
  19. yea i'd be down for a SAU fishing trip, haven't been fly fishing before tho so gotta learn
  20. of what? i might have one or two lying around and will post them if i find em, if not i suppose i could take some
  21. very nice figure indeed, is it an original GTSR? as for it being a waste of time(my TT setup), no i don't think it is, i think it could have some potential. As for pics, engine bay pic is in my signature http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c185/som...s_cruise_16.jpg and that's the car at the SAU xmas party
  22. someone also needs allot of money sponsorship anyone? Anyway, full boost hits at around 6000-6500rpm
  23. i have a big FMIC, 700hp fuel pump, GTR injectors, custom piping, custom exhaust with split dumps off each turbo, running into a 3" system, through a 3" hi flow cat, adjustable fuel pressure reg, microtech LT8 with handset. i think he said boost, if i wanted 200rwkw he said u'd need much more boost *shrugs*, lol. At the moment i can't really afford another re-tune so im stuck.
  24. standard T28 turbos tho, ceramic wheels, plus i don't want to pay for the dyno time, im a cheap ass , plus only just re-tuned the microtech for 13 psi
  25. yea gears make no difference, the guy just decided to run it in 5th, guessing to maybe avoid wheel spin and get a clean run as for responsiveness, it isn't great, but im used to it, and once it passes around 4000rpm, it pulls like a fkin steam train. Haven't really paid much attention to the boost gauge, just the tacho, seeing peak power is made so damn high up in the rev range, with a dead stock top and bottom end, so i couldn't really tell you when full boost is reached, suppose i could check tomorrow To be quite honest, im kinda dissapointed, i want MORE!
