  2. Just wondering if doing a solid lifter conversion would be worthwhile in the long run for an RB20-21-22-23-24 if eventually chasing big power/tunability/reliability/what ever? Also wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of solid lifters and hydraulic lifters are? Other than being able to fit RB26 cams, would i be able to fit other upgraded RB26 cams? (high lift etc) Is there a limit to how far hydraulic lifters can go in regards to camshaft selection/profiles? Like asked before, would any more reliability be gained in the conversion? Also, what would be required to do the conversion, and would anyone be able to give pointers in doing this conversion? Once it is done, would the standard RB20 cams be un-usable and would only RB26 etc cams be usable? Sorry if all of this is a bit much to ask, but i'd really like to find out some more on this topic from some of the local gurus. Thanks in advance.

HR31 Coupe 197.7 rwkw @ 13psi on the UAS SAU Dyno day, stinking hot and humid day silver top engine swap, R32 gearbox, twin T28 turbos, custom 3" turbo/s back exhaust, 3" high-flow cat, 700hp hi flow in-tank fuel pump, 444cc/min injectors, microtech LT8 (grrr) ECU with handset, turbosmart T piece boost controller (needs to go), custom ceramic coated intake piping (it's black, and coated, so meh), big ass FMIC, 700hp rated clutch, twin pod filters, standard bottom and top end, malpassi fuel reg, fully re-done cooling system (radiator, thermostat etc, all after the dyno run, not like it'd matter anyway) and i can't remember the rest. Might get around to scanning the dyno chart some day

  7. spotted gunmetal/black R32 GTS-t at roselands centro on thursday night on the outside carpark at around 6:30pm, had a white SAU sticker on the rear windscreen
  8. is this for your car windows or office? if car, then check out a company called Omicron, or somethin, they supply professional detailing products and chemicals, which i suppose can be used for office too *shrugs*
  9. has the timing belt been recently done? gearbox and diff oil? plugs? Brake pad levels?(i notice you said rear brakes, but how are the fronts?) how long ago were the disks machined and pads changed? Tyre tread levels?

  12. i wouldn't exactly call it a downgrade, considering i happily made 197.7rwkw on a stinking hot and humid day on 13psi, but it is laggy none the less. I'm using custom adaptor plates to get them to fit. As for extent of modification, well, the receipts in my folder total around $10 000 for the conversion, including supplying of the manifolds and turbos, and making up piping etc etc. I'd have to dive through it and see if i can get an exact just on getting it up and running (i didn't do the conversion, i bought it like this)

  19. quick question guys. If i were to do the RB30 upgrade on my RB20 equipped R31, would i be able to use the microtech i already have in it on the RB30? Also, would everything else wire up as is? or will i have to go through a huge auto electrical drama? Also, what would redline be if you get the RB30 crank propperly prepped and balanced?

  21. sorry to hear mate. If i hear anything i will let you know. SXC180, you should try deathstaring the little c*nts every time you see them, seems to work a treat for me O_o sometimes i leave my windows down a bit O_o
