  1. im a maybe, pending completion of the car, will be close
  2. If you're worried about it being a 2 door just use a non-reclinable driver's seat and a reclinable passanger seat. As for being worried about junkies yoinking your wheel, just take it with you, then they can't yoink your car either (unless they come prepared)
  3. by the way, you forgot to mention cams and other head componentry (unless it's stock )
  4. How are the tyres in the wet?
  5. you just haven't seen the propper cars, just some of the ricers running around
  6. engineer it, might cost a bit but it saves you all the headaches later on of trying to clear defects etc.
  7. *cough*shameless plug!*cough* Na good bloke, good workshop, does some qual stuff. You've also got Race Pace Engineering in kirrawee, Just Jap (retail only i think, no mechanical work basically)
  8. You'd need to do a solid lifter conversion to get the cams running right.
  9. Depends on what metal you are welding, not what type of welding
  10. You can also do MIG aluminium. Though TIG is easier (believe it or not) and neater. We do both at my work.
  11. Why are so many people giving him shit about the defect? How many of you are actually engineered with modded skylines? *raises hand* anyone else? Why doesn't everyone who bagged him about the defect and engineering etc go out and get engineered too and we'll all have an engineered party? As for the speeding, i know the feeling (im not lactose intollerant, but yea, had a similar incident once ), but speeding is bad mmkay, hard to beat. As for the mods. Wheels sticking out of the guards is illegal. As for your exhaust, you are lucky you weren't made to get an EPA check, though, i don't think that happens often, but very hard to pass.
  12. thornleigh cylinder heads at thronleigh: 99809454 (heard great things about this mob, haven't used them though, but looking at getting my next head done there) Indy @ IS motor racing at rockdale (i think it is, don't have their number though. Indy really knows his shit, good guy.) OR Greg @ Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee. Hasn't done internals or anything for me yet, but does some good work, has done most of the work on my car, good bloke: 95211388
  13. he HAS to be taking the piss if he asks if he needs a tune... It will be a task from an RB26 without touching internals, task and a half from all the rest other than RB30DET . You could probably count the number of runs you get from it on one hand before it spits a rod out of the side of the block or something. Then again, me being me, i like a bit of reliability.
  14. I'm using a microtech LT-8. Crappy fuel economy, crappy cold start. Not such a fantastic ECU for a daily driver. Power FC is prolly the way to go as in my opinion microtech is more of a racing ecu. So yea, PFC is probably the go for you, except i have a thing against AFM's (don't know why, i just do).
  15. sounds kinda lowish. Then again i suppose the stock turbo would be on the edge of its efficiency band. Im getting 197.7rwkw @ 13psi on an RB20
  16. hey marsie, how's it goin? How high is that spoiler? (from the base/mounting to the start of the bottom blade)
  17. where are you from and how much?
  18. price of turbos including shipping to sydney?
  19. killowhatts. Seen this car around, seen it up close, had a chat with the owner. Great car, allot of work has gone into it. Sounds very tough, and goes hard. Well worth the money IMO Good luck with the sale
  20. does it come with anything else? or just the deck?
  21. Does anyone have one i can borrow over the weekend? kinda urgent
  22. get rid of them. They are easy enough. And it will probably help you in the performance department. Im not too sure if anything has to be fiddles with the ECU or not (in terms of it activating, and thinking the butterflies are in use etc)
  23. i'd only bother if it was externally gated
  24. Red top ECCS still has 12 port intake, better flowing than the NICS one though
