where bouts are you from? is it $350 for all 6 rods? or $350 each? (for the 34 ones), are the "perfect working order" turbos still available?

sutherland shire here, not worried much. Once left my car door open all night (accidentally) with the cabin lights on, lol, oops. Nothing happened, not even coins missing from my ash tray. It was parked on the street mind you.

turbo basically uses the exhaust gasses to spin the impeller wheel, which sucks in and compresses air and pretty much forces it into the engine, meaning you get more compression pretty much. Intercoolers, basically they are a heat sink. You have your sort of solid rows in the middle which the compressed air goes through, and then you have like this see through mesh bit. The air passes through this, cooling the metal and the surrounds, including the compressed air. etc etc etc My brain hurts too much to explain any more atm also check out http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/modules/turboTalk/ good info in there

was yours a standard turbo? or was it one of the ones with the split section for the wastegate like the HKS ones?

split dump is the way to go. Causes less turbulance in exhaust gas flow when the exhausts from the gate re-enter and therefor improving flow/velocity. Most of the split dump pipes are calculated correctly with length etc to minimize turbulance and maximize flow and velocity, which is what you want.

it's ok, in my area we get undercover falcon GT's and them GTP's, XR6 turbos too. A mate of mine even saw an XR6 turbo with green P plates and a tempe tyres sticker on the rear window as an undercover....
