  1. depends on what you already have done and what else you are planning on doing. But i'd sure as hell do it But that's just me With the right cams you'd expect to pick up better power delivery throughout the rev range and a bit more top end. So it's worth it in my opinion. Im definately camming mine up

    Thanks for all your support guys and girls. But yea, there have been way too many shitty periods But, I have decided to pull her off the market, bludgerlink (centrelink) is paying just enough to cover the loan (i scrape through by like $5 a week -_-), so i might batton down the hatches, AGAIN, and try and ride through it, AGAIN. It was looking dire, still aint lookin great, but hey, done it before so i can do it again i guess. I will still be scarce around these parts though, probably only posting in the technical forums, well, mainly reading. Anyway, cheers guys, cya when i cya (i hope it won't be too long). Don't suppose mods can delete this?

    yea thanks for all the support guys. I will still be making posts, but obviously won't be cruising or anything unless i tag along with someone. Just at a major crossroads with what to do in terms of career etc. So will have to take it as it comes. But in a way, im hoping the car doesn't sell, so maybe i can save up the money to rebuild her, but yea. I've put ALLOT of blood, sweat and tears into it. But it's mainly my olds that are hastling me over it. I've been fighting to keep it ever since the first issue i got with her. I will see how it all goes. This is the second time it's happened though, in the exact same order Job, mrs, car

  10. IN HERE Lost my job, lost cylinder #2, semi lost my "new mrs", so time for the car to go too(cancer is next i bet ). Can't afford the repairs this time. Just wish people wouldn't sell dodgy shit to begin with (not the car, thinking more along the lines of engine). Anywho, when she goes i will probably be dormant for quite sometime, untill i get another/if i ever get another skyline. Toodles SAU, I didn't want it this way, but, that's life.

  12. Pull the AWD fuse. Works on all of them i think. Anyway, im out untill further notice. Car shit itself last night. Only had it back for 3 days too, and, blown head gasket probably, one that was meant to be replaced when the head was swapped. Aw well. I will keep you posted.
  13. Don't know mate, im cursed, lol. Doesn't matter what i do something always happens Na she's dead. Plugs were covered in oil, oil was covering the pistons, oil was all over my passanger side front wheel, dipstick got blown out. She drives, but misses like crazy (sounds like a wrx) and blows more smoke. The bloke who did the work to it sure won't be seeing me as a happy chappy. I wasn't even pushing it hard or anything. Been shifting at like 3000rpm all the time, unless i needed some boost. Never went near the redline =/ Don't suppose i could start a "Save the Jago" charity fund? Hate to say it, but possible dodgy work IMO. Only had her back for three days. Head gasket was done, head was supposedly shaved blah blah blah. So it really SHOULDN'T have happened unless i was abusing the shit out of it, which i wasn't.
  14. Im out. Blew my head gasket on my way home tonight. The pressure blew out my dipstick, sent oil out of it, and possibly blew out my turbo oil lines (which are braided). Oil went everywhere, so i towed it to the workshop i just got it from... And yes, the headgasket was just replaced a few days ago. All completely new. Anyway, im just ranting, i have the shits majorly. As a result my car will probably be for sale
  15. i'd say turbo back exhaust, high flow cat, FMIC, SAFC or a propper tunable ecu (or a remap) and a boost up (use a piss-fart T-piece boost controller for that if you want, they are pretty cheap). Should happily see you to 160rwkw IMO. If you do the "compressor wheel upgrade" (he probably means a hi-flow job, not so cheap), you could probably easily go for 200rwkw or therebouts. By then you'd want to be looking at injectors and fuel pump etc. But yea, just to the simple stuff/basics first and you should be right. BUT, is that $2000 AFTER your FMIC install or BEFORE? Kinda makes allot of difference
  16. You'd be more than welcome The cruise is generally from the meeting point, to the destination. When we get there, we stop off for lunch, photos, a yarn etc (we chat at the initial meet etc too). After that we make our way back, maybe have a few stops and yea. Do what ever after that. It'll be from thornleigh, to wisemans, and then old pac back home.

  18. *sigh*. Car is back, runs GREAT, sounds GREAT, except on corners. My exhaust is hitting my tailshaft due to a shitty bracket. I will desperately be trying to fix it at work tomorrow in my spare time or seeing if i can get it back to the workshop for a quick fix. If it isn't fixed, i will either have to drive like an old lady (or worse) or won't be able to come (worst case scenario)

  22. I might meet you lot there, unless im picking up passangers on the way, as i have NFI where thornleigh is. Sure i could use a map, but who uses maps these days? And there better be snaps of my car, it's been neglected for a good 6 months (off the road for that ammount of time too ) As for sproose moose, he does allot of night shifts so ya =[ And as for getting my act into gear, well, they are doing the best they can (i gave up doing it myself due to unreliable industrial suppliers near my work *cough* tungsten carbide drill bits *cough* bastards *cough*). So it's a mad dash to the finish line. But, he said it will be ready wed/thurs providing there aren't any engine issues when it goes to get fired up Now, everyone pray

And BizzRrevhead (how ever u spelt his nickname, dude with the R32 with number plates "R32") MIGHT be tagging along with me. Sproosy MIGHT be tagging along with me also, all depends on their night before Will prolly end up solo tho
