  2. whatsisname mate I agree with you 100% I also use Nittos 555R as my everyday tyres, to me its really no different then changing suspension or upgrading your turbo you do it or use them to go faster but are the cars using different suspension or other modifications not true street cars aswell? Its like because we're smart enough to take advantage of a good grippy tyre we're cheating hahaha I think its silly
  3. Yep its another very fast GTR but sort of makes me wonder how it can be called a street anything even using Federal tyres when all it runs is C16 fuel, the inside of the exhaust is as white as my arse hahaha

  5. nah not the 11.5 the best he's done on the nittos is 11.67, the bastard pm's me everytime he beats my time hahaha But what I asked was going off what Steve said we're not true street cars whether its nittos or slicks because we change things for the drags

Please Steve don't take my questions the wrong way in no way am I having a go at you or the car, Its just that I've noticed you post true street car a few times and wondered what you mean So the likes of myself (11.7 on nittos) and gotboost (11.5 on full slicks) aren't true street cars because we change our tyres? Or even Leewah I guess as he'd use different fuel and tyres (i am only guessing this though)

Leewah I guess once you've ran the car at a few meets with 593awkw and bettered your pb the gearset will have really proven itself, to be honest I thought with that power you would of torn it a new *****hole SK I know of a standard box behind a 400rwkw 3L R33 GTST and he's blown 3rd in 3 box's drag racing what would the best choice for him be now? are you doing anything different to your box to make it stronger?

  18. meshmesh sorry but you are wrong, I'm married with 3 kids we have a family wagon for our everyday car and I have a ute for work as I am a Builder My car gets driven every second weekend if I go for a cruise and to and from the drag strip it is just a weekend toy, not day to day transport, for sure the GTST with mods seemed a better buy imo then a stockish GTR but since then I have enjoyed the challenge of running the times I do and being quicker then a lot of the GTR's I see at the drags and the satisfaction I get from this has nothing to do with money or budget I have since decided to set the car up as more of a drag car then street car and the new modifications are costing me between $15-20k so in no way does budget now come into the reason why I chose the GTST to play with Please note though with your smartarse comment about the Lada if you make this thread personal towards me I will I have it closed and you warned if not banned as I was nothing but fair and gave my honest thoughts in my first post making sure it wasn't personal at yourself or LaL
  19. here here hahaha, Its like the question of the chicken or the egg For me I like a challenge and like to be different so for my chosen motorsport (drag) a GTST was the logical choice, for sure its not as easy to get the GTST into the 11's or 10's but the fun is in getting there, it sort of makes your car special if its running times that not many others cars are in the same model It always amuses me when I read posts like all you need is a zorst, 16psi etc and you've got easy 11's or 12's out of a GTR but where's the fun in that your the same as every other GTR ... why not be different hence my choice being GTST
