i have a plain bearing hiflow turbo i have the standard airbox, only thing i can hear is my walbro fuel pump, when turning off my car. But when my turbo is windin up, it sounds like a truck turbo. hasnt blown up yet, sitting on 12 psi, and comes on pretty strong .

Hey guys Might sound simple enough, but i think there might be some type of glue on my rear spoiler is there just the two screws at each side of the spoiler My spoiler looks like the one is the photo exactly ( sorry for whoevas car it is, but i dont even have a pic of my car) Just so you know what it looks like. Im goin to eventually put on a lip wing, and just goin to plug up the holes for now. So yeah jsut wanting to know the best way to remove it, Will it rip up the paint? Thanks

staff at dept of transport look at ppls details everyday ! good thing for them that if something happens to there car and see the registration number, they can look it up, And no one will know!! But to giving it to anyone else, and anyone finds out where the information came from originally and there gone!! You can get the persons details by filling in a search request form all you need is a stat dec which clearly states what happened, and a quote from your repairer. Costs about 15.85 and the registration and persons details are sent out too you Im sure you just have to have the registration number, and what type of car they were driving and the date of the incident.

Brakes Not Hot Enough?
bazr33 replied to AzzurrA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
from what i have heard ferodos arent the best brake pads i have always gone with either bendex, or a brand i have just tried recently are ultimates My last pads scored my rotors and sqealed like a pig. These ultimates are pretty good at the moment, no noise, and feels like it stops better then before. Only problem i think the shop said is that they are a bit dusty. The other thing was the ultimates dont need to be bedded in, get in and do whateva ya want. -
my mods as follows walbro fuel pump Power fc AVCR FMIC Hiflow cat CES Racing split dump to cat 3" exhaust When i had stock turbo on it was set on 12 psi it made 201rwkw i put my hiflow turbo on myself, not getting it tuned or anything. i took it too test and tune, and noticed my car was maxing out way to early. Set on same boost, with the bigger wheels was obviously flowing more air, and my car wasnt tuned to handle it. Got it tuned, injectors flow rate went from 70% to 90% to accommodate for the increase of air and afm is on its limit on 5.1volts, or however it works. Just the difference made by having bigger steel wheels and a great tune was 201rwkw to 230rwkw. I believe the efficiency range for a hiflow ( plain bearing) safely is goin to be 18psi . Ball bearing is going to be more, and thats for a rb25 engine to my understanding. and also would slightly change for what mods you have.

i just bought my hiflow plain bearing off a mate for 800 bucks had slight play in it, but i got it rebalanced anyway, for like 200 bucks also the fact that with the plain bearing they are rebuildable im not sure about ball bearing are or not. but theres not that often ya see ball bearing turbos exploding, only if putting stupid boost through them or something is goin on with the cooling side. but as mad082 said i dont boost when just started car, i wait till my temp gauge goes up i have my turbo timer set on 40 sec when turning off car i have my boost set on 12psi, and dont regularly hit 12 anyway. And 5000km oil changes, with castrol gtx3 oil

depends what your wanting to do aswell gcg do a ball bearing steel wheel hiflow I have a plain bearing steel wheel with a 270 thrust bearing. currently on 12psi making 306hp at the wheels i have power fc walbro fuel pump, boost controller all the usual stuff I am up for injectors which i have jsut bought getting a z32afm and a fuel reg, which in the process of getting then bumping it up to 18psi, should have 350hp at the wheels then. i will let ya know if ya want but even on a plain bearing hiflow, i have proof that it can make it, and it will go to 350hp. Just that with mine i have to insure theres enough oil getting flowed in the turbo , cause of more heat produced, and also takes a lil bit longer to spool up, which isnt noticable i dont think anyway.

yeah i had 95 octane fuel in my car from 7 eleven could of got some shit fuel. And yeah it was fairly hot that day Ijust took my car for a spin and put in some optimax feels much quicker to get through the rev range, gets up and goes with the cooler weather might even go to next test and tune and give it a run with my 235s on. 2rismo, could you please tell me whats the best way you know to launch with 235 street tyres. Is there any point in dropping the tyre pressure on street tyres? I did try havin the handbrake half up and clutch half out and bringin revs up and found it was workin a bit betta then just bring the revs up and slowing takin the clutch off to reduce wheel spin. What revs should i bring it up too? I also got to find what revs i should be shifting at, and when its not making anymore power. ( i think my shift light is set at 6000 or 6200 at the moment, but it does rev right out to 7300. Thanks
-
yeah i think the reason for the 102mph is my starts, werent too crash hot And with mickey thompson street radials i reckon i could pick up a sec with the starts i was doin, and still learning my best shift points. Next time i go out, i'll try my 235's. see if i can scrape into the 13's Thanks

Saturday, i managed to get down to the track with a group of guys that hired it out Had a few fair runs down, and couldnt quite manage to get into the 13 sec bracket The only problem i can see that is restricting me to this is my tyres and traction. At the moment i have 225's street tyres my starts felt fairly slow, due to trying not to spin the wheels And lack of revs so it wouldnt spin. Best time i could get was a 14.2 Best 60ft was a 2.2sec Best 660ft 9.1sec 1000ft 12sec Best mph was 102. As not having alot of experience at the drags, im still gettin use to when my best shift points are And when its not making anymore power at certain revs . I DO know that i need either slicks or wider tyres to gain some traction and some quicker starts. But i think my main issue is my starts My mods are Power fc AVCR FMIC Walbro fuel pump Hiflow r33 turbo (plain bearing, 270 thrust bearng) 12psi 3" exhaust CES Racing split dump And thats about it, everything else is stock At the moment i am up for new injectors, AFM and a fuel regulator. as my injectors and AFM are close to maxing out. Any advice or information would be appreciated.
