  3. so im guessing hardly anyone has installed a 040 pump before in there car. have yous got a performance joint to do it? Thanks Barret

  5. i have a mongoose alarm it did work properly.. once at the moment, when i press the button to lock the door it doesnt lock, but does arm the car if you do open it, and the alarm will go off. i actually have to press the button to arm then use the key to lock the door. Its very fun, but i do atleast know the doors locked. I have a new motor to put it, will be fixed soon i will also check the immobiliser wiring and make sure it works properly THanks for that.
  6. Looks like a problem that occurs when ya have a power fc installed haha i had mine installed in october november, i started noticing the idle repetitively going from 500 to 1500 not the best look when you have stopped at the intersection. i'm am in the midths of looking into it . my AFM is not the cleanest one i have seen, and going to clean my panel filter aswell . i will clean the AAC valve aswell, and replacing my fuel pump with a bosch 040 which i have recently purchased. ( Nothing to do with the idle but anyway). I will also check the spring on the throttle butterfly, the "cold idle valve thingo" and the TPS, whateva that is. After i have mucked around with these possible solutions, and i know then that its not them and they are clean. i'll take it to, "hopefully" a person that knows what it might be, and fix it One good point from this, is my car seems to run quite smoothly when driven, like an idiot (not on the streets of course) or like a granny. Just the idle is the problem I also have the problem of turning my car on.... sometimes it decides to just click and not start, eventually it will start im guessing my starter motor is rooted, or fuel pump. (Replacing fuel pump soon) Any advice as with the other two fellow ppl with the same fortunate problem. Would be much appreciated and less stress on me Thanks
  7. Hey, just seeing if anyone has installed their 040 bosch pump in a r33 gtst 93 is it an easy install? i know to disconnect battery, get a new fuel filter, clean out fuel lines make sure everything is clean is there anything else that i need to get to install, anything to look out for . Or make sure if there is the required amount of amps going through to support it? THanks Barret
  8. i had my front mount intercooler installed fair while ago and the performance joint had the pipe resting right against the radiator pipe . performance didnt change , but i was a bit worried of the heat from the intercooler pipe from the radiator hose. through time could of caused the hose to soften up. but anyway i got the pipes fabricated so it misses totally. most of the heat is just heat soak from ya engine, heats everything up inside. As josh said wouldnt worry about it at all as i was a bit when i got mine, but has been running perfect. But i just found that it was defying the purpose of having a front mount intercooler to send through cool air, then have it resting right up against the radiator hose.

  10. i was in the same position for finding a ECU for my auto r33 i was gettin mixed opinions of if it worked or didn't as to saying that it "worked" meaning the car moved apperantly gear changes are bit harsh and gearbox wont last too long and chasing 300rwkw gearbox won't last that long either. I changed the gearbox to manual, drive in drive out for 2500 didn't really want to do that, but hey, i knew gettin a aftermarket ECU was definately going to work. and didn't have to muck around with rebuilding box, getting a shift kit, a stall converter, or finding a ecu that might work or not. I'm modding my car close to 250rwkw, and know the manual will be right, might have to get a new clutch, but thats about it. Also with the advantage of knowing what gear you are in, being able to power through corners, without the concern of changing down a gear on ya. ( Nearly lost it once going around a corner and changed a gear on me , ass end got a bit happy, bit exciting) Also i want to get into the drifiting side of things, the auto would of been a bit weird. But yeah if ya want a spare autobox, i have one. THanks Barret
  11. probably wont help ya but i do have a series 1 ECU r33 gtst spare as i recently got my power fc installed . THanks Pm me if ya interestedd
  12. is the walboro pump an intank pump if it is i'll take it for 160 and pick it up

  14. looks like im probably not going to cut the front bit out of my front bar as i have read on another post that reinforcement bar is a good thing to have there, supporting ya front end in a collision . One thing i thought is depending on the collision you have , ya still going to f#$k shit up. but anyway also thinking of my insurance it will most probably be void taking it out . So looks like im just going to leave it. Might get it a spray while its off .
  15. I'm curious aswell, as i'm about to do it my M spec front bar is off the car at the moment , ready to cut. problem with my car is i have a metal bar behind my front bar i was thinking cutting that so it shows the front bar or take the whole thing out. Let us know Thanks

  18. with the r33 brace is it the strut brace that you bolt in, from inside the boot or is it for the r33 that the strut towers are just under the parcel tray bolting it in from inside the car . THanks

  20. Due to AFR's being real rich at 10.5, and timing a bit out from the tune at FIST i have had my car tuned again at chiptorque , and needing a new o2 senser and spark plugs got a result of 201.7rwkw on 12psi After the tune of fist i did manage to go down the quarter and did a 14.089 at 101.69mph, so will be good to see what happens now. Cheers
  21. yeah the fella that does the tuning, seems to know what he's doing . His name is rob i think he's into the skylines as he had a rb26, but blew it up trying to race a motorbike . There is also Greg in Sales, which i know his son, went to skool with him found that a bit weird. Anyway they're top ppl. My car was on the dyno for 2 hours $ 400 I have been to APC, FIST, and Mercury Motorsport And im pretty sure to say Chiptorque have impressed me. Definately will be going back to them for future mods.
  22. How are you reading the chart ? max power is showing 12:1 From how i'm reading it, it's only showing 14:1 when its just about to boost at the start.
  23. yeah at the moment its ok when i get a new oxygen sensor and new spark plugs should even out the power curve abit just now i put my foot down and its just putting through too much fuel then needed but i can tell the difference from what it was before hand THanks
