  1. Hi lads and Lasses, What have you all done in the past to fix the gap on the shifter when using an after market gear knob such as my nismo here. Gap between the knob and the leather boot looks tacky, any easy ideas to make the knob meet the boot flush? Cheers! Chris
  2. Hey bro I have just put mine back in my 34 as riding low it had worn through some of the wiring harness on the drivers side. No problem with doing it, just gotta keep your eye on the condition of the surrounding parts
  3. Cheers mate, yeah I will for sure!! I intend on the smaller aesthetic touches and visual/electronic customization, and yeah love to brainstorm some ideas and get/give advice, so getting to know the scene in WA is definitely on the agenda!
  4. Thanks man, yeah they are custom painted RB26 covers with modified for the VCT gear on the Neo, with the forward facing inlet plenum (which I am told actually loses you power unless running high boost). As for a build thread, I dont think I will go too crazy with it, it will be all the little subtle/aesthetic changes I will make. Once I get her to 300rwkw that is more than enough streetable power... We will have to see how far my passion takes me if I end up feeling she is worthy of a build thread haha. Thanks for the Welcome!!
  5. Sorry, should have put this in the 'Suspension, braking and tyres' section, my bad!
  6. R34 Alcon Brakes Hey all, Bought an R34 GT-T with the Alcon/Grex 4 piston brake set and 330mm discs. Running Pagid RS4-2 pads and I tell you what, you hit the skids and you well and truly know about it. Problem I have got is just had the front discs were warped slightly so had them skimmed but now they at at their minimum. Can anyone recommend a good brake place that I can get new discs from to fit? I dont know enough about brake compatibility, do I need to get them from the Alcon Website and order a set from Europe or can any brake place get me a set of discs to suit? Any advice is valued!! :-)
  7. Dead on, exactly what I was half way through writing. RB20DET isnt a fantastic engine, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to be honest if you know ya mates car is good value, know its history it is a safe bet man. I have had a 32 and now a 34, 32 was a bit of a pain to get parts for etc. Man there are some Sexy 33s out there for sure, so that extra 10k you will save buying a newer model with a better engine you can put into tarting her up, or putting into the engine work with more confidence that you will get more gains out of the RB25 than the 20
  8. Hello! Finally rejoined the club! Hey Everyone, Names Chris, been a forum stalker for ages now finally picked my new baby up and ready to get playing! Had an R32 GTS-T with a S1 284rwhp RB25DET with conversion when I was 18 that was my first true love, then she met tragic circumstances with my brother in law and a light pole (everyone was fine... except my pride and joy) Finally, 10 years later found her reincarneted in R34 GT-T form with tasteful mods and booked her straight in for a full birthday with a Skyline specialist to get her to 400rwhp. All the supporting mods are done, (Injectors, 90mm throttle, Alcon 330mm brakes, Tomei Cams, fuel rail, FMIC, Exhaust etc) Just bolting a low mount GT30 on with boost controller and a bit of maintenance and she will be a weapon! Just wanted to say hi from Perth and its good to see a lot of helpful, like minded individuals! Cheers Chris
