  1. Too much 'root' or not enough?
  2. A few old Datto Z cars including Jon Siddens will be there for THC, hope they can stick it up a few 'non ABS equipped' Porkers. Well maybe they might have a chance against the 'budget', under $200000, ones
  3. Poor bubba Lewlew, he has had a relationship breakup which obviously has destroyed his world and rendered him incapable of driving sensibly. HTFU princess.
  4. WTF is going on here See video P1. http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67273597-New-ECR-track...-Bet-the-guy-in-the-footage-has-lots-of-friends.-lol
  5. Old mate having a go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMCNG8fPY28&feature=player_embedded#!
  6. Bugger me, I was researching the Scarab story just the other day, scarey
  7. Lakeside - JDM import 280ZXT two seater, VG30DET engine.
  8. If the gauge is accurate then it sounds like the oil is crap. My engine is a VG30DET with a TT pump and 10W40 mineral oil, at 1000rpm the pressure is ~35psi hot ~100*C. Am now changing to a Penrite Classic 20W50 mainly to keep the ZDDP level up.
  9. Tetley insists that the V8SC's are mainly responsible for the bumps at QR, particularly in the braking zones. For someone who is there a lot of the time I guess that he would be aware of any deterioration on a regular basis.
  10. Yeh, around '92, did something like a 2:13 best lap. With today's improvements who knows
  11. Keith Carling's 300ZX was pretty handy around Bathurst back in the day when it still had the VG30DETT engine, max speed on Conrod ~315kph I believe.
  12. For sprints, where you are only allowed to pass on the straight, punch out of the corners is particularly important, you need to get past that slowbie you have been following ASAP and corner exit acceleration will do that for you. With my gearbox and diff an effective rev range of from 4000 to 7000 is required so it has to be well on boost and making good power at 4000 but not run out of puff past say 6000. So it's not how much power is needed, it's what setup will give me a suitable and highest power spread possible. Makes the car nice to drive too which helps lap times as well.
  13. Yep, it's obvious from qualifying that the RB is far and away faster than the Mac
  14. LOL at intraweb F1 drivers, Red Bull looks an easy drive because Vettel is good, perhaps the best in a generation, we will see. Yeh, aniother arrogant German F1 driver is all we need, unfortunately...........
  15. Nitto more likely than not does use a Toyo compound, it's just interesting that in the US Nitto > Toyo by reputation, plus I like to stir Harry and his bad handling Silsomething
  16. Still does no mean that both Nitto and Toyo use the same compound or even that they are made in the same factory. For example, Toyota own Diahatsu yet both make their own distinct products.
  17. Hamilton just not get how good Vettel is or perhaps he would prefer not to and take the easy way out by blaming the car. Watching incar of V qualifying is like watching a video game in fast forward, it also seems very relevant that he loves Singapore with all its corners and constant decision making, the prick obviously has the capacity to process informantion and act on it at an extraordinary level.
  18. My NT01's are clearly marked 'Made in Japan' Harry.
  19. So people say. Certainly they have a business connexion but I've yet to see anything fairly definate that indicates they use the same compound. As well the NT01's have a good rep in the US, the post RA1 Toyos do not.
  20. Hard to take you seriously if you think that's a good idea, if you want AWD it makes sense in every way to stay with a factory AWD.
  21. Nitto NT01's are a decent semi for those of us who are prepared to compramise in the grip -v- life equation just a bit. Bugger the local rip offs, import them.
  22. LOL your sig gives your fanboi status away though. Still, we all can dream
  23. Friend of mine has a 370Z that he is going to do sprints with. Had the MoTec managed NA engine on the dyno the other day, just over 100hp per liter.
  24. ..........................
  25. Old Zeds are strut suspension all round which you would think would be better than a semi trailing rear but this just goes to show what development aka money can do
