Is it just the sound that cuts? Or do the lights on the head unit dim/go out? If you actually did fix it temporarily, it sounds like it's a problem at the HU itself or the wiring into the HU. What about the fuse in the HU? Is it in there properly? Bad contact? Failing that...How did you get power to it? Have you got a decent power connection to the head unit? Maybe it can't pull enough power? As you said check your earth aswell, make sure it has a good contact.

go the athlon 64 3000. if u can afford it get dual channel and dual ram to match. Get RAM rated above the speed u need. Get a really good CPU fan, then overclock it to whatever the 3500 runs at (just watch the RAM speed doesn't exceed your rated RAM) The 3000, 3200, and 3500 are essentially the SAME. They just change the mutliplyer in them, they are the same CPU, so if u get a 3000, u CAN go to 3500 without risking the CPU (Assumiung u have appropriate cooling) The problem is the new ones have locked multipliers, so you need to overclock via the system bus, so u overclock your RAM aswell, which is why u need to get fastter RAM..... Of course if that is all to technical for you, just get an athlon 64, 3000 (or better) with 1gb of RAM and u'll be sweet. Forget P4's for games. They still run everything, but the athlon kills them. If you do alot of video editing etc however, I think it's the opposite.

I have been reading about people's fuel pumps failing or not being good enough to handle the power of their cars. For this reason I was thinking of putting in a different fuel pump in my 32 GTST when I get it (it's waiting in Japan for the boat). I figure it's a safe insurance. Same as doing the timing belt. I don't plan to get above 200rwkw, I don't think I will even get close to that. I don't have a large budget. All I will be doing is FMIC/exhaust/EBC/12-14psi. I may consider more in the future, but I think if I plan to 200RWKW max, I should be happy. So my questions; 1) Is the standard pump going to handle this? If not, what should I look at? I have read a fair bit in the forums, and searched, but it seems all the people upgrading are aiming at a higher power than myself. 2) Do I need to run a relay and my own power to it? Or is this only for the bigger ones? (People saying they need to with the 044 in other threads) 3)I have read about people having an internal and external, do I need both? Why would you want both? 4) What does a pressure regulator do? Obviously regulates pressure...but at what point do you need one, and why? yeah...I'd agree .... I dunno about the GPS alarms, but we trail ride (motorbikes) in the bush with GPS naviagtion systems,plus most people have mobiles right next to them (in backpack) and we have no dramas... Perhaps the alarms work differently however.

Hey guys, Here's a pic of my 32 in japan....just thought I'd show ya's, and ask, does anyone know what rims these are? I know it's hard to tell, but thought maybe they are popular and someone may know. I am going to get another set for drift/motorkhana i would prefer to have the same wheels. Hey guys, Up until Wednesday, maybe tuesday, you used to be able to hover the mouse cursor over a thread title, and it would pop up the first...say 20 words.... so you could get the idea of what the thread was about before you clicked to enter.... How long will the site be up for? I am not going to be at work for a week, but I have left them running on getright, and the computer left on to autodownload. I am only getting them at 2kps each (my link is capable of around 400kps...so I guess you have throttled it) I will leave it running, hopefully it will get them all before you remove them. I gave up on the single file download - it's too slow to get it quickly, and it keeps dropping out (and resume is not supported by your sever) Thanks heaps for doing this!
