Police should have a LOT more power then what they do now. If they could do 'real' crime prevention they wouldnt be hassling BS things like BOV's and exhausts. The problem isn't the police are lazy, the problem is there is no point them fighting crime. The murderers get off, the man slaughter get convicted. Stealing a car etc etc when you are under 18?16? nothing happens to you anyways, you get scrwed up with bank loans and stuff like that, but u dont get punished as such. My bro is an example. He straightened out now and its hard for him to do things the right way now cause he wont be given a chance. But he didn't get any real punishment for the crimes he did. Oh he did get punished (gaol term) for something he DIDN'T do...the good old 'girls never lie' deal + his previous record. Policing is a friggen joke. Capitol punishment needs to be in. Like, the police dont (cant) stop crime with the current rules. The only thing stopping crime is a persons own respect for hismelf and others. Many people don't have that nowadays. If there was things like 10 years jail for stealing a car. not many ppl would take the risk. but fact is even if you are an adult stealing a car wont land u in much trouble. As a child nothing will happen to you. If you are found 100% no doubt guilty on murder, then....hmm actually I don't think you should be killed ( I used to) but you should be punished severly, not get let off after 3 months

Kel, you seem to know what you are talking about, are you able to tell me what officials are required for a MotorKhana, and a drift meeting? yeah I realise I can't compete with certain official positions. I don;t know which they are, but yes I do realise. I plan to go to events which I won't be competing in to get trained, then hopefully organise some drift. But I will be EXTREMLY annoyed if it ends up I never get to drive. I am hoping that I can work something with the MG guys along the lines of "i'll do the dirt motorkhanas and hill climbs, if u do the tar motorkhanas and drift" Failing that, I might try to get some sydney guys to do the same, i'd be willing to go to sydney to official, but not to compete. so maybe i can find sum1 with the same logic for newcastle. There is a tar motorkhana on the 12th, which I will be participating in, I am unsure what else is on this month. I am pretty sure there is an MG only khana, that could be the 27th? I have read that page you linked me too, but some of it just doesn't make sense...like timekeeper, scorer, scrutineer...they make sense...but what about stewards? They need to give more detail as to what a steward does. THe MG car club wanted me to go along to a meeting to find out more, but I have trouble making it. So it proved difficult to get the info I required. I am hoping someone on here can say "this is what u need to do drift and motorkhanas"

Who here is a CAMS official? I want to be one. I have my L2S license, I am a member of MG Car Club Newcastle. I am wanting to get involved in a few of the events to start with and get a feel for it, then I want to start organising some events such as motorkhanas and maybe practice drift days (by this I mean a small area like the ones we use for motorkhana, but have a few reasonably open corners instead of the tigher motokhana tracks) I am not able to make a drive to sydney to go drifting, atleast not easily. So I see 2 options. (1) do it on the street, or (2) do it via the club. I need to know what official should I be...steward etc etc. The CAMS site didn't make sense to me, so if someone could explain what licenses (position?) I should go for and what that position involves. How many officials do you need at an event, and what 'positions' are they? Obviously I want to get a drive, so I will have to make sure there are others in the club that will take x job so I can drive everynow and then. Cheers Chris

I am glad the cops chase those idiots, cause if they didn't everyone would run, and everyone would get away except those that kill themselves or others. I think it's a shame the cops couldn't chase him down while there was no traffic and blow his tyres, when that hits the news it will make ppl think twice about running. f**king idiot deserves all he gets.

Hey guys My 32 is in my importer's shop. He is doing the complience work himself and is going to have the RWC or engineering cert, or whatever it is called ready for me next week. He wants me to register in my name straight up to save the hassle. So when I go down there, do I just get the car details, import approval, RWC Proof of Purchase , greenslip and take it to the RTA and register it, and get plates? Is it that simple? My importer says it is, but since I am gonna do it on a sat morn, plus it's 2 hours drive away, I wanna make sure I get it right the first time, cause if the RTA closes before I get it fixed I'll have to wait another week! I think it should be limited too. Both dimensions (400 pixels max width) and file size. Makes it hard for 56k users. Not all people know you can turn them off either. Personally I think it's a curtious thing for the users to have a decent sized image. When I join a bored it's the first thing I turn off. Unfortunatly many people go "see my sig" for a lot of things. So you miss alot. -

I went to the only place I trust around my area, and they want $1300 for mild steel, $1800 for stainless for the piping, and they want $1300 for the intercooler (brand was iceblue...or icecold...or something like that) Stupid thing is my mate had his 180 piped up with stainless for about $600ish at the same place. Surely the 32's arent THAT different! So they can keep it, I'll get a brand name kit for much less thanks very much!

Trust SAU people before a mechanic. I have only had 1 good experience with a workshop. I have asked around the people I know, and they seem to reckon the ARC would be kewl (image) but the Greddy VSPL will do fine up to around 250RWKW, which is far out of my reach with my budget. I think for the extra $100 I'd go greddy over the hybrid, purely for the name, knowing it will be quality. The ARC I have my doubts as it's a new trader, so not too much feedback on him ATM. Looks like the Greddy is the go.

Thanks, I read about the difference in the V/R-SPL on the site, but what does it mean comparative to my needs. I mean, it says the V-SPL is for low boost or whatever, so what is defined as low boost? Basically which would best suit my needs. And if the hybrid is good enough, is there any point going to the greddy/arc. I mean it's only an extra $1-300 ...

*UPDATE* Alright. I decided if I am getting one, I am gonna get the GREDDY V-SPL, unless it's more difficult to fit. Has anyone fitted one of these to a R32 GTST? that will block dial up users that dont deserve to be blocked.....well atleast i think it will...AFAIK that's only gonna be good if they are static IPs that used to annoy me back when i was an IRC geek. People would ban like 211.27.*.* and end up banning an entire ISP.. -

NS also have a 'sponsors' for sale section, and i would say 99% of them are genuine people, more often than not, bussiness'. And they are quite frequent sellers, so it's quite easy to track down a few people and get opinions etc. Could be worth looking into. The For sale section is the only reason i go to NS....
