WazR32GTSt - Hmmm ok I will give that a go, I was adjusting it with it plugged in, however it actually did move the revs, but it is as low as it goes. But I will try. Bazelinez - Yeah it's working at correct temp, so I don't think that is the problem, but I will keep it in mind. As for the AAC valve, if you search you will find a fair amount on it...that's how I learnt what it was. I will get a photo if I have the chance and post it up here incase you can't find it tho. It's located on the inlet manifold, near the throttle body, it has a brown plug attached to it. You can use brake cleaner or contact cleaner. You may need a new gasket when you take it off ( I didn't but I have read that most do) From what I can tell the AAC valve is the typical thing that cause low idle...not high idle...so it could be your problem. Anyone know if an exhaust leak or faulty turbo would effect the idle? My turbo (or so I thought) made a whistle as it spooled up...that whistle has gotten louder in the few days I have been driving it. From searching it seems the turbo is gonna die soon, or there is an exhaust leak. I am hoping it's an exhuast leak

hey leave the cops alone, if they leave their street corner someone else might score their trick...it is the cross after all

Ok, did a bit more research, seems I cleaned only one part of the AAC valve...I will do the other part tonight

With Helmets, if you are willing to pay a bit more you can get SNELL approved helmets which are higher quality and are useable in all(?) forms of motorsport. I would dare say if you race on the circuit (As opposed to a track day) you would need a SNELL approved helmet. I know for riding, I wouldn't use anything less then a SNELL, but when you're in a car I guess it's not as important. And you can get cheap helmets for $100 ish at bike shops if that suits you... You basically pay more for features like cooling, removable liner, weight, etc. Of course you do pay for safety standard too... All helmets sold (legally anyways) in Australia are of a decent standard, so you should be fine with a cheap if you only want to do track/drift days. If you plan to race, or have the money, I would go a snell approved. If you want to check out the differences in helmets, just find a bike forum. try www.dirtbikeworld.net it's the best forum I know, and it's aussie.

****SOLVED***** Hey, Yes I searched Ok, so I just got my 32 GTST on the weekend, and it idles at 1600 RPM. * I managed to get it down from 2000 by adjusting the TPS using a multimeter and setting it as near to zero as I could get. * I cleaned the AAC with brake cleaner, and it didn't make a difference (altho it did have a fair bit of black crap in there * I adjusted what I would call the idle screw (the screw that just pushes the thing the cable attaches to on the throttle body) * I havn't tried yet, but it was suggested to buy aerostart, and start spraying it around all the vacuum hoses, as if there is a leak, it will suck it in and make the engine rev higher. So a few questions; 1) I have read that I might need to adjust my IAC....problem is, I searched, and I can't find out what an IAC is...I don't know what the letters stand for, nor where it is on the engine and how to adjust. Could someone please tell me? 2) When I had the AAC off, there is the main hole, with the 'springy thing'. And there is another small hole. That small hole seeminly has nowhere to breathe to when it is attached back onto the engine. Is there supposed to be a hole on the engine? 3) What else could the problem be? 4)It has a stock BOV and a Blitz Bov on it...could this effect it at all? Thanks in advance Chris

*teasing* only good thing about the 2 doors over the 4 doors is they are all over the shop if you need replacements and you can use the "ah, there's no room in the back" excuse to keep people out. Haha, I still plan to use that excuse tho

Importing Thieving
eXc replied to Baz's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Mine was missing a pod, but I didn't see photos, so maybe it wasn't there to start with. I had a turbo timer, blitz BOV and volks, all of which was not touched. The paint got a substantial amount of extra small scratches, but that could have happened at the complience workshop. Shipped through Kiwi, from Kawasaki -> Brisbane -
*HIJACK* I got mine on satuday too! silver 4dr 32. pretty much standard. cat back zorst, blitz BOV (soon to be removed or plumbed) HKS springs, short shift (luv the short shift!) I'll start my own thread with pics tho. Sorry for the Hijack Hey Slide - You're just jelous you don't got one

Doesn't matter, I sorted it. FINALY have my car. For future searchers - There isn't a pipe like I thought, the AFM is a flat end with holes for mouting onto a flat plate (or standard airbox). So you need the right size pod/adapter. SR20 is different.
-
Hey Guys, I should be picking my car up today or tommorow, but the pod was stolen. Can anyone tell me the size of the piping on the air box side of the AFM so I can get a pod that will fit? I was gonna get a blitz or whatever till I saw they were $170, I can get a cheapy from repco for $30....so I am gonna do that, But I need to know the size of the intake... Also..anyone know the SR20DET's? If it's the same I will just borrow a mate's to get it home (I have ordered a stock airbox, but haven't recieved it yet) Cheers Chris

Hey dude, I have been looking into husky's and I have decided our yard is not up to a husky yet, I live "in the sticks" and there is all sorts of things he would want to escape to eat - roos/foxs/birds/sheep/geese etc etc... So I am not willing to take him without setting up a proper fence, The cattle dog doesn't try to escape so the 4 foot fence is good enough, but I know he will chase that sort of thing being a husky. If you still have him in a month, send me a PM and I will probably be interested as I should have a fence up by then. Hope you find a good home for him.
-
Why are you are relocating him? It may seem wierd to you, but I prefer to know the history of a dog, if it's more personal then you care to share on here, PM or email me at [email protected] Is it because of something like cost of owning? Or is it he is getting out the yard? I have been talking to my parents about letting me get a husky ( I am 23, but still live at home, it's not like I am 10 and gonna not look after him) mum seems to think I'd be getting a pup, but 12 months isn't too bad I didn't think. We have a lot of experience with animals as mum is one of the founding members of the native animal trust fund (which is similar to Wires down Sydney way). If Husky's get on well with other dogs then I am sure he will get on with my cattle dog, he has got on with any other dog that has been at our place. Are you in a huge hurry to get rid of him? I don't think I could make a decision till atleast the weekend. Has he had any kind of training? Been round kids? Used to being in the car? Big yard or small yard?

that's kewl, if they fit, they fit Cheers Chris

Male of Female? Desexed? Needles? Chipped? (or whatever they call it) I been wanting a Husky since I was young, We have always had 2 dogs, and 1 just died, so it's time for a new one... To those that own huskys - Do they get on well with other dogs (cattle dogs in particular) Or are they more of a loner?

You aren't the guy that was originally selling it, are u a d!ckhead stirring, or have you changed your nickname? If this guy isn't for real - Wrecked head, please contact me via email if you are willing to sell it ... [email protected] if its a custom manifold he isn't interested. He doesn't wanna run the T28. We were hoping you had a mounting plate or something made up instead that we could just drop off. Thanks anyways cheers
