I reckon if you go ahead and do that, you won't get anything out of the guy. Talk to a few shops (ones that KNOW they wont get the work) and see what they say. Maybe you can get a quote for a fix, then send him the bill, but actually get done what u really want.

Hey guys, Just curious what's the best chamois to get? What brand? What type (synthetic/leather)? Where to get it? I have a cheap synthetic and it's a waste of time. Grandad was here the other day and lent me his leather one that dad used to use when he was a teenager (read :it's 30+ years old) and it was awesome! Too bad the container had lost it's label over the 30 years, so I don't know the brand. Thanks Chris

Pulled the tank off to look today. There are 3 lines going to the tank, 2 of them go to the fuel pump, which are about 30cm long each, they attach to metal lines which go to the front of the car. I replaced them There is another that runs towards the front of the car..didn't follow it. It didn't look perished at all. Wonder if it will fix my problem. The tank was covered in this goo-ey stuff. I dunno what it was, maybe rust inhibiter or somehting, but it was terrible.

Hey guys, I changed my gearbox oil the other day, after about 30 mins of driving, while I was sliding, the speedo and odometer just died. It is a 89 GTST 4 dr. But it used to be an auto, it had a conversion in japan. I couldn't see a speedo cable running to the box, but it does have power cables. Does this mean it is a 33 box (electronic)? Can someone tell me how to tell what box it is, then what I should be doing to fix it? I am guessing that maybe when I put the hose in to fill it up I bumped the sensor? Or maybe it was co-incidence and something else happened. First think I need to work out if it's electronic or cable driven. Cheers Chris

The creek is HEAPS closer. Oran park is a hike from newi. Creek is about 2-->2.5 hours (about 30-40 mins from freeway end). Oran park would be closer to 3-->3.5 hours from memory.

if YOU have insurance, you notify the insurnance company, and let them handle it, they will take his a$$ down If you don't have insurance, then go to a smash repairer, they can probably tell you the best attack (other than a lawyer). But you need to get a quote done, then send a letter of demand for them to pay. then u wait x days, and send another....then if they still dont contact, you go to a...err...cop type person (not a cop tho) and they issue the request to thier face. then you take them to court. there should have been witnesses - find them u need to log it with police so you have a incident number u have the argument "how else would i have this guys license number etc..plus these ppl saw the accident" he will have to pay. it might take you 6 months, but yeah... talk to a repairer they can give you more detailed info..i had to do it for mine, my insruance company handled it.

This time ACA were blaming modified cars for Antisocial Behaviour
eXc replied to Drkside's topic in Western Australia
That's not true. Police in Australia have no power. It's the same stories with teachers, teachers can't do shit and the kids know it. So they act up, then they get to 'real' life the continue doing it knowing they can get away with whatver they want. There is no point arguing this. It happens everytime stupid shows like ACA and Today Tonight air their crap. no good comes of it, you just get a heap of heated arguements. Of course you could write into ACA, but they won't acknowledge you, cause you are a hoon, and might go shoot them, cause all hoons are killers. -

Alright. I decided if I am getting one, I am gonna get the GREDDY V-SPL, unless it's more difficult to fit. Has anyone fitted one of these to a R32 GTST? I am curious how easily they go in (need to cut bar/fan?) Cheers Chris

So how many of the skyline drivers down at the foreshore are members on here? Is it most them? Is the foreshore still as crowded as it used to be? Or has it calmed down? I know on Sunday it was calm as...but I was told there was some event there or something.
-
yeah I was thinking about coming along on the cruise. thing is I don't really go in much on cruises. I was gonna post up and ask how much social and how much is driving, i know it's sound stupid, but i'd prefer the social side of things... haha How many of the skyline owners down at the foreshore are from here....I'd feel like an idiot just rocking up "you guys from SAU? no..umm....nice weather eh?" Sorry, I am good when I know ppl, but heaps shy when I don't. Anyone know who the other silver 4dr 32 owner is? or is he/she not part of these forums?
-
NICE! you even captured a rainbow in one of the pics.

I have a silver 4 door 32. I have seen one other around the area. Saw it at the foreshore on Sunday, was gonna stop but I lack social skills. haha

Not that I live anywhere near perth, but typically, the 'bolt' shops have tools aswell. You know the shops I mean, that sell all the nuts/bolts you can think of...perhaps you have one of them there you could try? Ebay?

Interesting. I might switch for a week and see, cause I was runing Synergy when I first got it, but switched to BP... If anyone can answer my questions I'd appreciate it still Chris

Hey Guys, I have had a pretty bad fuel smell in the car, coming from the rear (boot?). I can smell it outside the car at the back. I can also smell it bery strong when you open the boot, if I have been driving. I can't see a leak anywhere, but I have decided to replace the fuel filter, and thought well while I am at it, the fuel lines will be old and perished anyways, I might as well spend the money and replace all the rubber fuel lines anyways. How hard is it to replace the rubber fuel lines (not the metal ones). Do I need to drop the tank? Or can you manage to use the old line to pull the new one through? Any ideas how much length I will need, and where the location of all the lines are? I can see there are 2 in the boot, going underneath (havn't followed them yet - hoping I can save some time talking to you guys) Cheers Chris

once you do the basic stuff, this could also be your problem http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=69151

Why start 2 threads asking the same question? Mods - Do you wanna clean it up....other thread is here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ighlight=speedo

I only just had it imported, and I thought I'd get it cleaned and buffed proffesionally, then I can just maintain it. Like I tried to clean it up, but I just can't get it the way I want it, so I figure for a bit of money I would. I have decided to use a guy that was reccomened by a spray painter that I totally trust. He is gonna do it for $150 which is everything BUT a polish/buff. I am gonna have a go at that myself, if not, the spray painter I know will do it for $200ish...Works out to $350 all up and I think it's worth it, I have seen the painter's work and he is really good. The detailer doesn't want me giving out his details tho. He no longer does it for a bussiness, he is doing it as a favor for the spray painter.
