From my experience its a bit random. Id go later if you can, but if not you may well see the odd car. Also cops tended to shut it down half the time anyway so anytime you can get in there is a start...

Not Sure Of What Size Inntercooler Silicon Hose To Get
ausdrift replied to ausdrift's topic in General Maintenance
that was the IC pipework. I didn't want to mess around taking it apart before I has the replacement hose, but if it looks like a 2.5inch would fit, I guess that's what ill order -
Not Sure Of What Size Inntercooler Silicon Hose To Get
ausdrift replied to ausdrift's topic in General Maintenance
so the sizes of hose listed are typically of the outside diameter? -
I've noticed my lower blitz intercooler pipework is what scrapes my driveway and its wearing through the silicon hose. As such I need to replace it before it cuts right through. The problem is im not exactly sure what size to buy to replace it. The blitz website says the Intercooler core outlet is 70mm I checked and the intercooler pipework outer diameter is around 68mm, while the hose outer diameter is around 75mm My confusion is where products are listed as being, eg 2.5 inch, 2.75 inch etc , is this outer or inner diameter they are quoting? Not sure what size will fit. ideas?

As the title says, I wanna get the plastic wheel under arches, both front left and right side for an R33. Its that big plastic sections that extend from under the front bumper to around about the height of the tire. Mine are munched from tire rubbing. I can pick up in the greater Melbourne area WTB!

Just this last week I've noticed my clutch pedal start to make an annoying amount of noise. I've tried spraying the moving parts in the cabin, but with no change. Its not even a normal squeak, more of a metal bending / clunking noise. I thought it was best to make a quick video to show, but for some reason SAU always freezes if I try to add a URL or pics. Instead, please search YouTube for the following... ECR33 skyline noisy clutch pedal It will be the first one, 22 seconds long. Usually there is no noise when using the clutch, but as you can see in the vid there is quite a bit. Any ideas why and what the fix is? Would this be something that would be fixed by installing a NISMO reinforced clutch pedal, but some form of maintenance or parts replacement? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Air Con Condenser - Possible To Add An Extra Fan? How?
ausdrift replied to ausdrift's topic in General Maintenance
looks good, I think ill have to try that -
So with the FMIC killing airflow to the condenser (and radiator) I've found that on hot days if I am stuck in traffic the efficiency of the air con drops sharply. It pretty much will pump out warm air but seemingly if I'm driving along at speed the air con becomes cold again. This got me thinking and wondering if its possible to hook up a second fan. As you can see there is plenty of room to add another one- even buying an identical R33 one and slapping it in. Has anyone done this ? and has it helped? and links to write ups etc? And if so, could I just splice into the same wires for the original fan, do you think?

Diy Windsreen Washer Motor Repair / Re-Conditioning
ausdrift replied to XGTRX's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
great stuff!! -
Simple one this. Im connecting up my EBC but the instructions in Japanese and English are different (WTF Blitz?) and the internet hasn't provided me with a clear answer on this either. Specifically Im wondering about the Nissan boost solenoid thing, as in the photo. Am I meant to leave this as is? do I unplug? tape up? etc Or is it fine left as shown. I've obviously plugged up the errant inlet tube and the boost controller appears to work ok (yet to set up/tune). Is that ok? thanks

So after having my Blitz duel EBC sitting in the box for 3 years I finally got off my arse and installed it today. One thing has got me a little concerned thought. I noticed when installing it that it has only 2 wires - power and ground. I'm used to installing things with a fuse and also an ACC wire too. Sure enough, I reconnect the battery and "bing" boost controller is on. Now Im sure Blitz aren't stupid and they have been making these things for years, but what kind of draw will this thing have on the battery? Is it perfectly ok that its always on like this? Who else has one and noticed this? thanks

Polyurethane Steering Rack Mount Bushes?
ausdrift replied to ausdrift's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hmm ok. There are enough parts that sacrifice comfort already, so im sure another one wouldn't be noticed -
Polyurethane Steering Rack Mount Bushes?
ausdrift replied to ausdrift's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Right. I guess I'll check my current ones and see how they are looking. Im not happy with the way my car steers at the moment. Its a little vague and doesn't respond to my inputs as much as Id like. Im gunna replace my rose bush tie rod ends, get an alignment and maybe do this? Anything else Ive missed? -
I had the same thing when I used to drift my 33; never any oil there. I was running std boost, but still I couldnt help but think something wasn't quite right
